2.245. is my ex friend a toxic kpop stan?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

i have a kpop themed friend group (which was actually a reboot of my 2018 one so there are some major changes from this one, like instead of being represented by bts songs, we are represented by kpop groups so my theme is Stray Kids and the newest member's theme is Wanna One) that for old time's sake i recreated w some new friends (and even called up my old friends from the group (not real names to keep anonymous) "apink" "suju" "14u" "twice" to rejoin) but then i forgot to invite in "Melvin" (og member in the 2018 version) and he went full out doxxing "Ill'it" (themed member of my friend group) and befriending my assaulter (sa'ed me w his friends taking pictures) i confronted him abt it and he js told me "stan skz and thats what u get" submitted by /u/Minute_Ice_7434 [link] [comments]

2.250. I admire Blinks so much for their love and support

Being an Army and constantly having content with all the members (we already had an ot7 live) and updates is kind of easy. Even during the MS we were constantly reassured about the group future. But Blinks are not so luck, you are always in a wish based trust and yet your love and support doesn't quiver, as the BP numbers indicate. So, congrats on you faithfulness, it has been truly tested. submitted by /u/Dobbyisafreeelve [link] [comments]

2.258. Do you think the pressure to have multiple comebacks within a year affects the quality of music in K-pop, especially for idols who produce their own songs?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Nowadays, I’ve seen a lot of remarks saying that the recent comebacks of some groups feel rushed or lackluster, especially when the members themselves are the main producers. It makes me wonder—could this have something to do with how K-pop idols are normalized to have multiple comebacks in a single year? Maybe these producer-idols are being rushed or pressured to constantly release out new music, even when they’re not creatively ready. After all, music production is deeply rooted in inspiration. That’s why Western artists typically take around two years or more to release an album. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]

2.260. genuine question regarding cultural appropriation

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

why is it offensive when non-black people wear black hairstyles like braids, cornrows etc? the only explanation i’ve seen regarding this is that black hairstyles are culturally and historically significant, but (with all due respect) i don’t seem to understand why it’s offensive when someone simply wears these hairstyles in a proper way, without claiming that it’s their own creation bcs coming from a culturally rich country myself (india), i absolutely understand the rage when someone takes something from someone else’s culture and history and acts as if its their own creation without ever giving credit but at the same time i feel very happy whenever i see a non-indian wearing our clothes or hairstyles properly with proper acknowledgment why do people get mad at the slightest mention of black hairstyles by a nonblack person or when a nonblack wears braids? im sorry if i wrote something offensive, this question comes from a genuine place, and i really wish to educate myself more on this topic submitted by /u/flwrbts [link] [comments]
