There's a girl group that I follow and there's a member in that group that I swear doesn't like another member. I've never mentioned it to anyone or made a post about it because I always felt like I was stirring up drama and I thought maybe I'm just imagining it? I've followed this group since debut and I watch all of their behind content. It's in some of this content that I notice that when member A speaks, member B will look at her but she often looks thoroughly irritated at whatever she says. I don't think I'm imagining this. Member B seems sweet overall. She even has a nickname for member A but spends the least amount of time with her, often gravitating towards other members. There are times where they seem to get along well though. So that's why I've been so confused. I know it's dumb to analyze member relationships based on behind the scene content. I don't even expect them to be friends. This is work at the end of the day. But that's why I get surprised, because the whole group seems close overall but there are those random moments... submitted by /u/Candystripe_Cosmos [link] [comments]

What are some things in the K-pop world that really get on your nerves? It could be anything. For me: I don’t like it when people don’t put the name of the group in their post or comment. submitted by /u/CrimsonThicket [link] [comments]
I don’t understand why so many people on this subreddit dislike these divas. They aren’t even my ults biases but I mention them sometimes or see others mention them and it gets downvoted most of the time. 😪 submitted by /u/ZookeepergameLow2862 [link] [comments]

I got into him like 2 weeks ago and am desperate to find international fans. Today in 2016 (Korean time), he released 미워요 (Hate you). If you are interested in Lim Young Woong, I made a Discord server and r/LimYoungWoong subreddit (I don’t know why neither existed before). submitted by /u/myhntgcbhk [link] [comments]

The post no one asked for from a 2014 ARMY: I just hit 11 years as an ARMY. I discovered BTS in my teens, and now I’m in my mid-to-late 20s. It’s wild to think how much time has passed since I first found them and how much my life has changed in the process. For years, they were part of my daily routine. Their music helped me through some of the hardest and most defining years of my life. But these days, I’ve taken a step back. The military enlistment definitely played a role in that, but if I’m being honest, I thought I’d still be just as strong of a fan post-enlistment as I was before. Hitting this milestone made me reflect not just on my journey, but on theirs, and how much BTS has changed over the years, for better and for worse (though I hesitate to call any of it “bad” outright). — this is the part where I’d say will spark controversy. In the beginning, BTS felt raw. There was a sense of purpose and honesty in their music that felt deeply personal — like it was made for people to connect with. They tackled topics that rarely got attention in K-pop: mental health, societal pressure, youth identity, social expectations. It felt real. Urgent. Human. I still get that feeling from some of the members’ solo work. But with others, it feels more like they’re just going through the motions like, “I’m famous and successful now, so this is enough.” And honestly? That’s not wrong or bad. I don’t blame them. But it’s one of the reasons I’ve stepped back. It’s not wrong to say BTS has changed. That’s just life. A fact. Now BTS is a global brand. And while I’m so proud of everything they’ve accomplished, I can’t help but feel like the intimacy — that deeply personal connection — has shifted into something more commercial. Fame does that. And it makes sense. But as someone who literally grew up alongside them, the distance now feels very real… and kind of uncomfortable. I’m not saying they’ve “sold out” or become something negative. Change is natural — for artists, and for fans. I’ve changed, too. I just thought we might change in similar ways, together, since we were close in age and once so emotionally aligned. Now I feel the distance as large as the ocean. Not even the sun and the moon but farther. Untouchable. Unreachable. I do miss the connection I used to feel. And I’m not sure I’ll ever experience BTS the way I once did. These days, I support them from afar — still rooting for them, still loving them, but not as closely and not with the same excitement. And that’s okay. This is not a post to hate on BTS. They remain my ult group and I don’t think that will ever change in my heart, but just as they’ve grown up and moved on, so have I. TL;DR: I just hit 11 years as an ARMY, and while I’ll always love BTS, I’ve taken a step back. Their earlier music felt raw, honest, and deeply personal ,,something I connected with during my most formative years. But over time, especially with fame and enlistment, that intimacy has shifted. Some solo work still resonates, but other parts feel more distant or commercial. I haven’t “lost interest,” but my relationship with BTS has changed. and that’s okay. submitted by /u/Skylar_Kim98 [link] [comments]
Getting spat on by Key himself what an honor submitted by /u/KingStan-erIXI [link] [comments]
I want to just clarify first that I am in NO WAY trying to invalidate KG and what she and the other girls went through, this post is simply me sharing a thought i had about the rebranding. I honestly think that this rebrand maybe would have happened even if KG didn’t speak out for herself. I do think they are fully going through with the rebrand to get away from the accusations KG made, and they are trying to distance themselves from that in hopes the fans and public will forget over time if they have a new name and concept. But I felt like VCHA’s chances got even slimmer when Katseye debuted. I don’t think JYP were that prepared to promote a global group since I don’t think they really know how to push their groups to the west. Obviously Twice and stray kids have significant international fan bases , however, I think a big part of that is more attributable to the groups themselves, rather than JYP promoting them well. I’m not saying that JYP are the worst company at promoting their groups, but they definitely haven’t figured out the western market yet. I think once Katseye really started taking off, things weren’t looking great for VCHA. So I think this rebrand was inevitable if JYP wanted to actually have a breakthrough in the west. Honestly though i definitely won’t be supporting and I won’t forget KG. I don’t really have enough faith in JYP that this rebrand will even work, but I just hope people won’t forget KG and what she and the members went through. submitted by /u/M0us3Cheezz [link] [comments]

I will use 2nd Quarter Quell rules (48 players, 2 boys 2 girls for each of the 12 districts). For each district I have a pool of female and male idols to choose from to ensure group variety. I more or less randomly assigned what I believed to be 12-ish popular girl and boy groups to the districts, merging small groups or adding a couple soloists to pad numbers out and make the chances of a specific member of a large group being chosen more fair. Here’s a link to the masterdoc with the rule specifications. I’m not requiring you to read this but it’s recommended. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DB95TAjnpEU97Dous1kPkPtENfc4lJeffZOTknLXcg8/edit?usp=drivesdk I intend this to be just for fun, don’t take it too seriously, don’t send hate, it’s just a “what if”. (Oh, and to keep it interesting, try to vote for who you think will do well or at least create drama, play as if you, the fandom, are the district citizens.) Single comment with the most upvotes wins. Separate idols so it’s 1 mention per comment, making it easier to see where the votes are going. (You can comment multiple times to pick multiple idols.) Try not to repeat idols and keep discussion in the replies under their first mention. Full Cast: District 1 Girls: BLACKPINK, Red Velvet Boys: BTS District 2 Girls: ITZY, Lee Chaeyeon (former IZ*ONE), former IOI soloists: Jeon Somi & Chungha Boys: GOT7 District 3 Girls: Dreamcatcher Boys: ENHYPEN District 4 Girls: NMIXX Boys: TNX, P1Harmony District 5 Girls: LE SSERAFIM, former IZ*ONE soloists except Chaeryeong’s sister: Jo Yuri, Kwon Eunbi, Yena Boys: TXT, XLOV District 6 Girls: IVE Boys: MONSTA X District 7 Girls: BABYMONSTER Boys: TREASURE District 8 Girls: MAMAMOO, i-dle Boys: ATEEZ District 9 Girls: TWICE Boys: Stray Kids District 10 Girls: æspa, STAYC Boys: xikers District 11 Girls: Kep1er Boys: ZEROBASEONE District 12 Girls: LOONA Boys: SEVENTEEN For two small groups combined, I will enforce one member from each group. For small group + soloists, I will allow 2 group members or 2 soloists if you guys want it that way. I will not stop a resurfaced ex-member (ie Soojin, Wonho, Mashiro and Yeseo, etc) from being reaped if the fandom wants to bring them up and vote them in. Today’s the 1st day I’m running this challenge for, so you’ll be selecting 1 BLACKPINK member and 1 Red Velvet member for the District 1 Girls and 2 BTS members for the District 1 Boys. submitted by /u/541Y0K4G3J1R0 [link] [comments]
One of my fav parts of the kpop concert experience are the freebies! I have made stickers in the past but would really like to step up my freebie game for the upcoming concerts I am attending this fall! I see a lot of keychains, stickers, and bracelets but I’ve made those before and would like to look into creating something different. I am pretty crafty and am willing to purchase any materials - so that wouldn’t be an issue! I want to create something that’s easy to transport as I will be flying in to attend the concert, something that can be created in a large volume, and would be appreciated by attendees. What has been your favourite freebie that you’ve recieved at a concert? Feel free to share any photos 💓 submitted by /u/peachybuddy [link] [comments]
I have unfinished ones for all the big 4 companies, but this SM one is the most complete (since I know the most about their groups). If anyone has suggestions or questions about entries on here, feel free to comment! submitted by /u/imnanbaboya [link] [comments]
Context: I haven’t stanned a group in a long time. The last time I did was around 7 years(?) ago, I’ve been a casual listener of multiple groups ever since. I decided to watch Boys Planet Season 1 recently and I couldn’t help but get attached to the final line up. I usually watch survival shows after the group is formed (RUNext, Produce 48) because I hate the suspense of waiting week after week for each episode (learnt that from watching GP999 when it came out) but I’ve never gotten totally invested in the group after the show. I know that good companies are few and far in between, but the more I hear about WakeOne’s poor management and business decisions, it’s hard to not be reminded of it whenever I want to watch ZB1 content or listen to their music. It’s been easier for me to enjoy groups with toxic fandoms because it doesn’t relentlessly bleed into the group’s activities or the members’ wellbeings and I can just filter it out. But bad companies are a different beast all together. Just looking for some advice to shift my mindset :’) thank you! submitted by /u/koiyasumi [link] [comments]

I feel like some fans are very quick to call out other groups, but can easily make excuses for their own favs. My favorite line is “I know they did that, but I hold them accountable” which usually means they shamed them for a day or two, but continue to stan them anyway and don’t bring up the controversy again. I just don’t think it’s fair to drag fans for continuing to stan when they themselves do it. What’s worse is there are some idols/groups that do something wrong and never apologize, but their fans are quick to drag another group that at least acknowledged the wrong and issued an apology. I think it’s up to the fans to personally decide to accept the apology or not, but at least the group did the bare minimum. To me it’s all talk when you decide to continue to support a group that goes against your personal morals, but judge everyone else for doing the same. Either it’s all bad or none of it is. submitted by /u/Thicccysmallz [link] [comments]
