i've been watching some of those youtube videos that are compilations of cringey english lyrics in k-pop songs because it's always funny to see. however, i've noticed that a solid amount of the time, the lyrics actually aren't cringey, are just generic overall pop lyrics, or actually do make sense, and it feels like the creator of the video is just being ignorant on purpose. some examples in these types of videos that made me confused: "feliz navidad, i can feel the evil coming but felix never bad" how is that cringe? it fits the theme of the song, christmas evel, makes sense, and is very clever imo. the chorus to "my turn" by cravity. it's literally just vroom and skrrt. there's nothing to "make sense" of here and i never personally found that cringe at all. they're just mimicking car noises, have some fun 💀. the chorus of "likey" by twice. only including this example because the reason the person put for this one was "i don't like it." ... okay? what are we doing here then cause "i don't like this lyric" was not the theme of the video 😭. "feel like a star but no patrick" i don't even listen to bp but that's not cringey. it's actually pretty good imo. makes total sense as a lyric. "i feel like a million bucks, must be the million bucks" maybe what's cringey here is repeating "million bucks"? idk. i don't even like jessi but this line makes sense if you think about it for more than one second. also, perhaps unpopular, but if done right, i actually find myself enjoying when artists rhyme a word in one line with the same word in the next line. it's kind of fun. "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands" yes, this is genuinely something i saw in one of these videos. don't ask why, i don't know. is this actually considered cringe? am i just used to nct lyrics and that's why i find nothing wrong with this? "i've been playing like tennis, grand slam like tennis" again, maybe it's the repeating tennis at the end? i feel like this makes total sense lmao, it's not cringey imo. and of course every video includes something from soyeon even though it's common knowledge atp that the way she pronounces things and writes things in english is intentional and designed that way (i'm not even an idle stan and i know this because i've heard it mentioned many times before, so there's no way these channels don't also know this since i guarantee they're all much more online than i am). i feel like some of these people need to learn the difference between "this lyric is objectively bad/makes no sense" and "i personally don't like this lyric" lol. also, sometimes it seems like these people are just making fun of the way certain idols pronounce words instead of critiquing the actual lyrics. like yes, having good pronunciation is important, but if you look at a lyric on a page and it makes total sense, it shouldn't be in a "cringe lyrics" compilation just because the person pronounced it a bit odd. of course, there's still a good amount of examples in these videos that are genuinely just really bad english lyrics that make no sense, i'm not saying that every single example in these video is like what i'm complaining about. it's just something i've noticed and wanted to bring up in case anyone else feels this way also or has an entirely differing opinion that they might want to bring up <3 also, to close this out, i just wanted to mention that i will listen to any and every kind of kpop song. i love nct, especially 127, which should give you a good enough idea of the kinds of songs i will enjoy. i love stupid songs that have dumb lyrics. so maybe these lyrics i mentioned above really are absolutely awful crimes against the english language and i just have the taste to think they're silly and enjoy them. that's totally possible, lol. submitted by /u/Winter-Detective2488 [link] [comments]

(its both discussion and to connect as well😸) Since Ahof debuted recently and gain fans through universe league Nameless fandom was already suggesting or maybe waiting for their fandom name but heres some suggested fandom name that can be considered maybe???lets try out!! • WOLVES1- many fans were guessing this since its AHOOOOOOOOOF!!! like a wolves • STARLIGHTS-since their from universe league and through the light and help of their own star fandoms they shine so bright like a star • STELLAR-(own explanation😸) [known as astronomical that is related to stars ] before being famers ahof needs a stepping stone or support like a hall of wall still, amiable and amicable (discipline), reliably strong and "matibay" plus when they perfomed they shine brightly like stellar. STELLAR-(still,amiable and amicable, reliably strong). submitted by /u/nightwarrior16 [link] [comments]
first people who come to mind for me are taeyeon, sunny, and hyoyeon from girls generation, momo from twice, winter and giselle from aespa, and choa from aoa. hard to choose just one tbh since a lot of them look like they're born to be blonde! submitted by /u/redlipstick1010 [link] [comments]

What have TWICE done to deserve this massive hate train / unprecedented agenda? What “petty fanwar” justifies a comment like this from such a big account? When will it stop? submitted by /u/KyeodeurangiMerchant [link] [comments]

This is crazy, I've seen the fancams and she looked perfectly composed. Reminds me of how someone on Twitter said they saw 2 Stray Kids members throwing up backstage during the DC concert. And Manon (Katseye) saying she did the Gnarly Kids Choice Awards Performance with a sprained ankle. submitted by /u/Fickle-Sense8599 [link] [comments]
New PJH fan here after watching weak hero classes 1 and 2. He’s a phenomenal actor and went down the rabbit hole of finding about his idol career. He was on Produce 101 and placed second and debuted with the group Wanna One and then went on to be a solo artist. He was also doing modeling and acting in several different dramas. All while in Maroo Entertainment. I tried to find out details about what his life and reputation was like back in his early career but honestly can’t find much or anything at all about Maroo and how they treated PJH. Any old stans out there that remember anything from the 2019 and on years? I read there was a lot of controversy with him signing a 7 year contract with Maroo when he was starting Produce and everyone was sad/worried that PJH who was a rising star was locked into a contract that would be disadvantageous for him. My questions/thoughts are, did they treat him well? Like, did he have a lot of creative freedom and room for growth as an artist? He worked so much, doing dramas and modeling and ads and music, were they paying him fairly? Is he from a rich or poor family? Is he financially doing well now? My poor fan heart hurts when I think about how he could have potentially been stuck in a horrible contract. Did the CEO treat him well? Did PJH interact a lot with other Maroo artists? Was he the backbone of Maroo? Like did PJH “pay” for other artists with his success? And regarding his social life, who are his closest friends right now? I wonder if he still stays in touch with Woojin and others. I know they did a dance challenge together during his Nitro era. Does he go out a lot? He seems busy and when he’s resting he seems like the type that would prefer to be resting at home. Hope he has a good group of friends he can rely on. submitted by /u/shannon49296 [link] [comments]
https://open.spotify.com/album/2rBtlOpNMuE4u9imyZz0YL?si=J355rct2R4yrbDqVoCpNOg I made a more detailed post about my opinions on each song earlier today, so this is just my quick ranking of the solo songs. 1.) Skin (Seonghwa) 2.) Sagittarius (Wooyoung) 3.) To Be Your Light (Jongho) 4.) Slide To Me (Yunho) *3 & 4 are interchangeable to me depending on my mood 5.) NO1 (Hongjoong) 6.) Legacy (Yeosang) 7.) Creep (San) 8.) ROAR (Mingi) *though this song does move up the list when I’m in the gym lol ————————————————————————- I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions on the songs, if they met your expectations, if they exceeded them, if any songs fell flat for you, and which were your favorites. submitted by /u/Brave-Newspaper4549 [link] [comments]
