K-pop stans never fail to shock me. Just when I think they can’t get worse, they somehow do.

Personally, I think it was overall good, I think they definitely prove themselves to be good rappers and the vocals are decent. I know there are a lot of people who love it and a lot of people who absolutely despise it. But what do you think? Personally I’d give it like a 7.5/10 submitted by /u/Boss-fight601 [link] [comments]

For the whole video, you're 100% convinced it's a classic love triangle. You have Seo In-guk's character looking heartbroken, while Ahn Jae-hyun and Dasom's characters seem to be a couple. The scenes of them together and Seo In-guk's pained expressions all lead you to believe he's losing the girl. And then... that final shot in the car with the mirror. It's a total mind-bender. All the previous scenes suddenly get a new meaning. The looks, the sadness, the longing - it was never about Dasom. It was always about Ahn Jae-hyun's character!!! It's one of the best plot twists in a music video, hands down. The emotional payoff is huge and it makes the heartbreak in the song feel even deeper and more complex. What do you all think? Did it get you on the first watch too? submitted by /u/Time-Diver-3284 [link] [comments]
For me it was Meovv. The bias is Sooin, wrecker Gawon, favorite song is 'Drop Top' and I really like their 'Abacadabra' cover as well. Looking forward to their next releases and watching their variety content. submitted by /u/Lfoboros [link] [comments]

Lately, I've noticed a significant shift in K-pop. My 'For You' page is flooded with groups whose lyrics and concepts are increasingly explicit, focusing on sexuality. While I can appreciate the hype and energy of these performances, it's concerning to see how prevalent this trend is becoming. It makes me question the direction of the industry, especially given the widespread belief that companies are pressuring their debuted groups to be more seductive and cater to fans' demands for provocative content. I have to wonder: am I the only one who feels this is getting out of control? Where are the songs that aren't centered on sexual themes? It seems like a lot of companies have abandoned more innocent or meaningful concepts in favor of producing suggestive songs and treating idols as objects to fulfill fan fantasies. Is this really what K-pop is all about now? Is this why people listen to it? It's disheartening to think that an idol might have to show skin simply because a segment of the fandom demands it. What about their personal comfort and boundaries? The pressure to cater to these obsessive fan fantasies must be immense, especially since it's now seen as a primary way to gain attention and ratings in the global market. It feels like the industry is pushing idols to compromise their comfort and dignity for the sake of commercial success, turning them into mere products rather than respecting them as artists and individuals. I really need long-lasting KPOP fan's opinions about this. submitted by /u/Ewipy [link] [comments]

For me, it’s no doubt Taeyeon’s ‘Purpose’ and ‘INVU’ albums. I cry to these 2 albums, it’s the most perfect an album could be for me from start to finish. Another would be TXT’s recent ‘Together’ album. (I admit I’m biased towards TXT as they’re the reason I got into K-pop hence making them my all time #1s) but this album was heavenly. From start to finish it was just insane and ending with ‘Song of the stars’ was just painful. Their Temptation album was also great. Honourable mentions from me include: • Irene - ‘Like a flower’ • IU - ‘The Winning’ • RedVelvet - ‘Chill Kill’ • TXT - Tomorrow • IVE - MINE • Wendy - Cerulean Verge • Jisoo - Amortage I’d love to hear everyone’s recommendations so I can bless my ears some more :) submitted by /u/WeirdParsnip4775 [link] [comments]
I just want to say how crazy this no skip album is. It’s exactly how I felt towards Irene’s ‘Like a Flower’ which was also a heavenly listen from start to finish. Wendy’s voice is just perfection. This is one of those albums that I’ll be wishing to have my first listen to again 🫡 submitted by /u/WeirdParsnip4775 [link] [comments]
So apparently some fans were trying to film the CORTIS members (during Kfesta, I think?) while they were changing. This issue goes beyond them being minors. Absolutely NO ONE should be filmed without permission while changing, whether kids or adults. I’m so disgusted right now. submitted by /u/Busy-Schedule-1407 [link] [comments]

Tempest had a huge buzz around their pre-debut and debut. A lot of K-pop fans were excited for them because their lineup included popular trainees from survival shows like Hanbin from I-LAND, Ahn Hyeongseop and Lee Euiwoong from Produce 101 Season 2, and Song Jaewon from Under Nineteen. They were doing so well. They released great music, won multiple rookie and music show awards, and their first-week album sales even hit 133,000—a fantastic number for a group under a mid-tier company. But lately, it feels like they're starting to fade into the background. Their company is terrible at promotions, and the way they handled the whole Hwarang situation definitely didn't help. As a huge fan, it's frustrating and makes me anxious about their future. It's such a waste because they keep releasing amazing music that I wish more people would listen to. submitted by /u/euriydyce [link] [comments]

IF YES, DONT SUBMIT IT AGAIN - there will be one female and one male winner - you may submit multiple artists, but put them in separate comments - don’t submit a group with less than ten members (exactly ten members are fine) - the comments with the most upvotes win - 2nd gen and up - don’t submit subunits (they were allowed for day 2 since there aren’t many three member groups) - if a group has lost members, use the current lineup (if a member has died, they are still counted out of respect) - global groups like katseye don’t count 🏆Winners of day 8🏆 female: TWICE Nine Muses (literally no other female submissions) male: EXO ZEROBASEONE Pentagon Have fun, it’s the last day! submitted by /u/DaGayEnby [link] [comments]
Every time a group that I like has one of their members put out solo work there’s so many complaints about their numbers and engagement being less than that other others members on their solo work. There seems to be this expectation that every fan needs to give equal amount of attention, streams, and sales to each member. I think that’s unfair. Biases exist for a reason. People will have a member they prefer so they inherently will give them more attention. I don’t know why that’s seen as an attack on the other members. Also it’s pretty crazy to expect fans to like all of the solo music of each member. The group I stan has a lot of solo music and they basically all have different genres that they specialize in. There’s some genres people just don’t like as much as others. I personally don’t like ballads at all. If a member makes music that is mostly ballads I’m not going to force myself to listen to it or pretend that I enjoy it. I think it’s possible to love the members and think they’re talented but just not click with their solo work. You can also show love and support without giving constant engagement or streaming. I wish group stans understood that it’s just the reality of groups that there is a ranking of popularity. Some members are going to be at the bottom. It’s unavoidable but stans can’t accept that fact and take it a lot more personally than it warrants. They also fail to take into account that some members are popular outside of the fandom. There’s a lot of casual listeners or solo fans who really help boost the numbers and engagement on some members. Those people aren’t tuning into every members music at all. submitted by /u/Thicccysmallz [link] [comments]
I recently began to be interested in this group enhypen, the members seemed very cute and talented to me and I wanted to investigate more about all of them, to see if I could follow them, in a more active way, but the more I investigate about them, it seems that their fandom (engene), has some kind of problem with Ni-ki, they always make fun of him, they created a whole personality for which, before entering and looking for more about them, I had believed it, but then I realized that he was a very sweet boy and that He cares a lot about his fans. It's a shame that they seem to hate him to the point that they act like he's not part of the group.. It's a doubt that I have, maybe I fell on the wrong side of tiktok and submitted by /u/valentina354 [link] [comments]
Any 2025 comeback you were very excited about but the result dissapoined you? It can be concept pics, MV, title track, bsides, just anything you were looking forward and it dissapoined you at end? Just add this is no hate toward any groups ajd just for educational purposes, one comeback not ruin whole groups discography! submitted by /u/Wonkislay [link] [comments]
Sometimes, I just want to hear something that will get my brain thinking. But these are what I get when I see Instagram reels that say give me unpopular opinions: Blackpink don't want to be together as a group anymore. (Most popular unpopular opinion #2.) Don't debut minors. (Because I asked fans for the opinions and not the industry, so how is this unpopular?) Normalise dating. (Most popular unpopular opinion #1.) Don't normalise the perfectly thin body and stop calling idols fat when their belly is a cm out from being flat. (Nobody thinks idols are born with the ability to have concave bellies.) Cha Eunwoo is not even that handsome. (Do you guys have some beef with him? We got it, the people who find Cha Eunwoo bland. Don't need to put it in every post since 2021.) Singing live should be the norm. (This topic has sparked debates, but it's done and dusted. Everyone has different opinions, and it's not unpopular anymore.) Stray Kids and NCT127 noise music is actually good. (Yeah, no kidding, these are some actual, real big names, so ofc a lot of people like their music and some don't.) BTS was better before their English trilogy. (How many times will you give this? It has gone down since they are not properly active for a long time, but has not died. Okay, I get it. You like Mic Drop better because that feels authentic BTS, and they have not made that tier song again, blah blah blah.) BTS did/didn't pave the way. (A very old topic. Doesn't offer new perspectives anymore. Wanna hear more like Saja Boys didn't pave the way for demon idols which brings me to) Huntrix and Saja Boys can/can't be on the K-pop charts. (The movie name was Kpop Demon Hunters. You would get what market they were targeting with that.) Ships aren't real; it's fan service. (With people commenting ships they believe are real. I am done. If you care so much about reality, drop kpop.) And the last one I have for now but certainly popular - I can't stand aegyo. (Sometimes, the ones doing it can't stand it either. A good trick I do whenever I can sense something coming that I don't want to see is cover the screen with my hand and especially for aegyo, you would also have to silence the video and best hope they don't replay it 100x. However, I can stand aegyo and my favourite group is ZB1.) submitted by /u/Excellent-Services [link] [comments]
Outside of royalties, which is like the most obvious one, what are some other things you would consider to be great long-term passive income sources for idols? Something that requires zero effort and is easy to maintain, regardless of how inactive an idol is, but still results in generally high profit. submitted by /u/oddv8gue [link] [comments]
