you know how some people love to put screenshots of hit tweets with thousands of likes here or making them an indicator of some sort? yeah i wanna talk about this. im not sure whether they are new or dont know yet but kpop has so many gcs (group chats) where they spam their tweets there so the members of the gcs will repost and like to increase engagement. there are also bots from paid likes where they buy engagement for shady ahh sites. numbers on twitters now are inflated, somehow. for example, you see a hit tweet dragging your fav with 40k likes, before sharing that here, i can guarantee you 50% from the gcs, 30% from bots and only around 20% actually matters. thats why you will notice sometimes the tweets have thousands of likes but the commenters dont match the usual ratio, or when they only reply with emoji or something unnecessary. completely bot behavior. you dont have to worry about this at all. hit tweets from antis dragging your faves unprovoked daily wont affect much. when your faves release music, they will thrive as usual. submitted by /u/ataraxia2406 [link] [comments]

I've seen some posts lately asking about collecting photocards and the comments were all negative so I wanna give a bit of the opposite pov. For context, I've been a pc collector for almost 6 years and I still enjoy it greatly. Even before that I've always had the itch to collect stuff (first it was trading cards, then pokemon cards, then mangas, then books, then mangas again, then funkos pops) so maybe that's the reason why I'm not tired of it yet. In this time of endless pobs and fancalls benefits and shop exclusives, there is one way to still have fun and not feel overwhelmed: Have some self control. It seems easy and obvious, but that's truly it. Look at the inclusion previews, decide on a plan and then stick to it. Think of how the photocards will look in the binder (DO NOT collect without a binder in mind or you'll be tempted to buy everything you come across). That way you'll be excited to complete the template you've imagined instead of feeling overwhelmed with the amount of stuff coming out each time. Make an actual template so you'll be able to see the progress. For example, I collect two members of TXT in a 4 pocket A5 binder. Every comeback I allow myself only up to 20 photocards total (it seems like a lot, but it basically adds up only to album photocards plus a couple extra pobs) and it usually takes me a couple of months to complete and I have a blast every time. There's also another couple of things that help with collecting and it's 1. learn how to use tag accounts on instagram and 2. get familiar with Group Order managers and Proxy Service hosts for your group (I can get more in detail for these two points if anyone wants). submitted by /u/Expecto-Morghulis [link] [comments]
Sexualizing anyone and being disrespectful is straight up wrong; but it’s honestly funny and kinda annoying how female bg stans get away with it. They can be thirsting over their idols, while male gg stans get dragged for appreciating their faves. When you're a female stan, appreciating San’s abs is okay, but it becomes creepy when you're a male stan appreciating Kazuha’s abs? A female bg stan can go crazy over their fav group doing a hot boy summer concept but the same cannot be allowed for a male gg stan's fav group? Make it make sense LOL. Not to mention female stans are also granted the privilege to appreciate female idols with no issue. I get it that that's just how the society, this sub, and Kpop community in general works and talking about this is just beating a dead horse. And this post would likely be removed because this sub is run by the exact people I'm talking about, but I just really wanted to rant about the double standards lol. submitted by /u/beelzebub2099 [link] [comments]

It doesn't matter anymore if you're 30 or 5, stupidity in all meanings is peaking in K-Pop and the Idol Industry. People don't want to accept facts. My personal opinions as a example: Not all idols are forced to do everything we think they do. They just pretend it so we feel bad about them when they do something we don't like. This includes dieting, short clothes, singing and etc. Most idols, not all of them obv, but most idols might hate each other. Most companies don't pay idols equally, such as clothes, brand deals, screentime and etc so it's obvious all of them won't see their teammates as friends who are getting opportunities but rather enemies who are trying to steal the spotlight. Companies will purposefully starve some idols for the sake of people feeling pity for them or for rage bait and it works. Everytime a idol loses 500g we see them as skeletons who needs love and attention, and then bimbimbim the group has more exposure. No matter how talented YG idols are, he'll always prefer the most effective promotion: Rage Bait. Cultural appropriation, minors dancing in very suggestive clothes, N-Word scandals and bla bla bla. He knows how to attract the world's eye. People don't care about idols being ignorant and doing cultural appropriation, they're just upset their idols are not these babies companies tell so much to us they are. When you see a idol doing things like this, your mind will automatically remember we are worshipping 15-20s people who can make a quick research on Internet to make sure they're not offending anyone. submitted by /u/nolimits237 [link] [comments]
For me... backpacks. I just don't get it or see the need to have them wear backpacks of any cute, regular or plush kind. Seeing it just swing around as they are dancing, I'm always like WHY?! Also when they give the female idols too short of dresses, to wear they constantly are having to pull the hem down. I always feel so bad for them! submitted by /u/NMIXXLUVR [link] [comments]
