I had watched my fair share of survival shows and even though I always say I'll stop I continue to watch them 🙄 (hello boys II planet). These shows feature missions for trainees to complete, essentially tests on how well they can sing, rap, or dance. The songs often have killing part moments which trainees try out for. What kpop songs do you think would be excellent for testing a survival show trainee's skills? Personally I think NCT 127's Kick It and Itzy's Wannabe would do the job well. I think they offer points that can highlight skills adequately. submitted by /u/so_and_so_said813 [link] [comments]

Agree/disagree? I was watching the MV for Famous just now and thinking the 3 girls have plenty of charisma, they could've easily carried the song on their own. The boys with their grills, braids, their 'hard' rapping and personas. Its just so cringe I'm sorry. Well for me anyway. I know obviously the average kpop fan eats this kind of thing up and they'll do well. But I think they could have done even better and had more mainstream potential as a 3 or 4 member girl group. submitted by /u/enmicks [link] [comments]
Added a bunch of h's to reach the character limit lmao I MISS LIGHTSUM SO MUCH. It's been 9 months since their last "comeback" (a digital single) and I'm actually missing them so much. I've been listening to their music for the past year and it's absolutely amazing, but I NEED MORE. 16 songs after almost being active for 4 years is INSANE. That's an average of 4 songs per year... and you're telling me this group is under CUBE. CUBE of all companies. The way they finance their other groups compared to LIGHTSUM is polarizing to say the least. POSE! was a great song, but the concept photo and mv were kinda boring, especially for a company who houses one of the bigest 4th gen girl groups with one of the best K-pop producers. I was watching their old music videos and content and I genuinely became so sad. Cube was doing so well with them at the beginning (at least by Cube standards). They quickly made their first comeback with comeback trailers, a Studio Choom feature, and basically everything a normal company should do for their artists. What do we get now? Concept photos of them wearing everyday clothing on a beige background. Cube can't just give up on LIGHTSUM like this. They have THREE PD48 contestants, one who was supposed to be in IZ*ONE!!! It just makes me so mad how they're wasting LIGHTSUM's potential. Can we at least get a single album? Is that too much to ask? I will buy it in a heartbeat. Maybe some instrumentals? CAN WE JUST GET NEW MUSIC???? This hurts so bad especially as a Cheshire who is still infuriated by the way Cube treated CLC. I just want them to come back so baddd I don't wanna hear "they're better off disbanding" in the replies. I don't think my SUMIT heart can take it :( submitted by /u/tripbillleeSeosum_9 [link] [comments]

Idk. Maybe it's because of the shame that comes from the stigma and stereotyping around both fans and idols, but I don't like how mainstream kpop is becoming in the west at least. I always get this uneasy or panicked feeling, I'm not sure how to describe it. Like with Kpop Demon Hunters. I've heard positive reviews, and I don't doubt it's a good movie. I always get that panicked feeling when I hear about it, probably because of stereotypes again. I really do wish I could enjoy it becoming mainstream, but I also do miss when it felt like this secret thing I could escape to. submitted by /u/hobisspritecan [link] [comments]

I am not denying there are problematic aspects in the group, but atp, there’s so many posts here shitting on Famous, while um... you have had Gnarly charting on Global Spotify charts. That song has nothing but talk singing, but yeah am I to understand Famous is worse than that? And why is Gnarly's success accepted but not Famous'? It's a catchy beat, the singers/rappers have great addicting vocal tones and it's finally a lil different from all the 5th gen cutesy trend. On top you have semi famous members in a co-ed group, that's a whole recipe for obvious curiosity to check out the song & get hooked to it. It's still trending at #40 on youtube globally. They just barely released 2 songs & everyone's so mad about why they exist. And on top I've read comments targeting Koreans specifically in a xenophobic manner for their music taste, while (yeah you guessed it right!) they live, laugh, love Gnarly & any criticism of that songs make them bawl their eyes out. I'm not saying ADP is the best group or anything, it's just unfair for them getting unnecessary hate for a song charting cause GP likes it? 😠submitted by /u/No_Olive_229 [link] [comments]

For me, it's probably the sexy concept on boygroups, mainly because it feels as if they try too hard when they execute it purposely, if that makes sense - it's better when it's unintentional, imo. I'd love to see everyone's opinions! submitted by /u/ts88kd [link] [comments]
I just wanna appreciate the Kpop reddit community because it's way better here. I used to be only on twitter, however i decided to leave the plattform because its just not enjoyable anymore. Like it's way to toxic and the moment you say something positive about a group you imminently get hated on Reddit > Twitter submitted by /u/Injeolmie_04 [link] [comments]
Hi! Strange title, I know, but I've been into kpop for the past few years, and I accidentally deleted my playlist a couple of years ago, and I'm trying to get back into it, but there is one music video I can't seem to find, no matter how I search :(. All I can remember is that the video had a blue light tone, I think, and it was a singular girl artist singing with shorts and a tank top on, and it seems like the vibe was lesbian??? Like, I remember there being some scene? I think there was a bathtub/ or just water involved? And there might have been the word 'body' in the song title. I'm not sure if this is enough information, but any help would be greatly appreciated <3 submitted by /u/f-riluftsliv [link] [comments]
