Kpop group snark subreddits are so dumb like

Ive seen a few snark subreddits here and there, and I just think to myself, “how jobless does someone have to be to just hate on every single thing a group does?” It baffles me really. It’s giving you live in your parents basement, on their wifi, sad you cant get none bc no one likes you. Like cmon now. And you can tell that most of them are teenagers. I would hope that they’re not older than that, or that’d be embarrassing 🤡🤡 submitted by /u/ConversationKey276 [link] [comments]

3.664. the second an idol isn't laughing and smiling, fans tend to assume they're depressed

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

not saying this goes for all fans or fandoms but it's something i've noticed. just because an idol isn't smiling all the time doesn't mean they're not happy. especially as an introvert, i don't tend to show lots of emotions on my face so for all the introverted and less emotionally expressive idols, it's hard to face the hate and disappointment. submitted by /u/Separate-Addendum-52 [link] [comments]

3.665. Does SM know what they're doing with Wayv? It doesn't sound or look like it

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

What happened to their music and concept? I know they started with 127 remakes and that Love talk song demo but they eventually found their sound and image it felt like. They used to do songs like Take Back or Turn Back Time or Nectar and Miracle but now get songs that sound like Shinee demos from 2014 or 127 rejects. Why did SM change their concept so much? Their fandom seems like they left too their Spotify streams are nugu company level. What happened to them? submitted by /u/mannimonn [link] [comments]

3.667. kpop has so manyyy good songs it hurts how judged it is

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

there are so many instances when i’m listening to kpop and feel like recommending some songs to my friends but i can’t, they won’t even give them a try bcs well it’s kpop kpop is so unique, the concepts, the groups, the music shows, albums, merch, fan culture everything is so different and it’s fun, some groups are soo creative with their music, and omg the production quality is insane, like the mvs, choreos, vocals, lyrics, concerts ??????? i know kpop is quite big rn but i feel like it would be more mainstream and more ‘accepted’ if people weren’t so rigid about their opinions on it, i mean it is still very heavily judged and ngl the sense of community with fandoms feels amazing, ofc there are the downsides but like every industry is problematic in some ways, and honestly ever since i’ve become a kpop stan, i’ve become more aware about various issues, im open to discussions on such topics when it comes to ‘hating’ on kpop but blatant hate bcs its korean music? nah 💀 all in all i just wish people would be more open to kpop, i just wanna recommend songs i love doing that but don’t have the right audience 💔 submitted by /u/flwrbts [link] [comments]

3.668. give me strong, powerful performance kpop songs

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

what are some great performance songs? the non-casual listening ones, the title tracks, powerful and energetic songs groups would perform at year-end music awards shows, songs that are better enjoyed with a choreography. my favourites are: dionysus and idol by bts, ember to solar by riize, drunk dazed by enhypen, monster by exo, answer and wonderland by ateez submitted by /u/seigfried0401 [link] [comments]

I feel like easily for me was when Vernon of seventeen was caught supposedly on a date( wasn't a date, he got photographed with a staff member) but Carats were not going off about the date, but the fact that man was in his one-piece tracksuit that he always wears🤣🤣. The creativity in the comments of almost every tiktok video was killing me?-"Like how you gon pull up to a date wearing that bro🤣🤣. 3.671. To those who were once deep into a fandom but have since drifted away...how do you see that group and their fans now?

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

was going through my old playlists and realised how I've gradually lost interest in one of my super favorite groups and I don't vibe with their music anymore... wanted to hear from others who might relate. like were you ever a super dedicated fan of a group, thinking youre in this fandom shit for life only to eventually drift away over time? If so, how do you feel when you see those groups now? What’s it like when you come across their new releases or occasionally come across posts from their fandom? submitted by /u/KpopElite [link] [comments]

3.675. Why do yall always excuse idols’ bad behaviors??

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve brought up to moas how in the txt spin-off soobin and kai jokingly call a darker skin mii character cutie pie and then laugh and say “what a character”, not to mention their repeated comments about how beomgyu is “too dark”. They also continously make fat people the butt of their jokes by calling eachother fat and big all of the time. I also noticed in an ateez wanted episode there was a character with a curly afro hair wig and yunho said they looked like a lion which is incredibly ignorant. I also found a post from sakura fat-shaming a group member from one of her former j-pop groups and covering it up as if her account got hacked (you can clearly tell it wasn’t). Yet everytime I bring this stuff up people cuss me out or make some excuse that infantilizes these grown adults as if all their intentions a pure despite the glaring issues with what they’re saying. Honestly it’s making me a little disgusted with my fellow kpop stan’s because they excuse this bad behavior all the time because of their parasocial relationships with these idols. YOU DONT KNOW THEM??? If an artist from anywhere else did these same things you would cancel them immediately… just because their country is less progressive doesn’t mean they can’t be and doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be cancelled for hateful behavior. The excuses are honestly getting really disappointing. submitted by /u/PackageMuch4336 [link] [comments]
