they be the most hateful people to ever exist yet every time there is a death of an idol or celebrity , its âTHE KOREANSâ âKNETZ SO TOXICâ âWE COULD NEVERâ The lengths theyâll take to justify their disgusting and shitty behavior towards new jeans is even more disturbing. i mean, i know most of them are like 12-16 year old kids who revolve their entire life around hating on idols but I just dont ever wanna hear ANY OF THEM talk shit on knetz ever again. Right now KPop is very much like soccer. Everyone plays the whole game, and does a different role, but has to contribute to every aspect when needed. However, if they followed football instead, just like offense defense and special teams, they could have different squads for each role. Why have a god tier vocalist spend time dancing? Why have a great dancer spend time making the music? There would be a lineup that makes the songs, and a lineup that does the performances. (If anyone has any idea good idea for "special teams" equivalent lmk) The entire group can still do variety shows together, it'd just be more made up of specialized idols. To be clear this might not end up better and probably would not, but I think it's an interesting concept that's worth a try. Curious if anyone has done this. submitted by /u/SpecSlayerSC [link] [comments]
I understand if some people dont wanna âsupportâ them anymore but whatâs their intention behind wanting a group to get blacklisted? đ Sounds unnecessary and just weird submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
Iâm very curious to why this is. They debuted in the same year, and yet twice is often referred to as a âlegacy groupâ (hell Iâve even called them that myself), but Iâve never seen anyone refer to seventeen as a legacy group. And itâs not because twice is inactive and become unpopular or anything; theyâre still releasing at the pace they always have, their tours are among the biggest in kpop and they were just on the demon hunters soundtrack. So itâs not like they get called that because theyâve slowed down or anything (if anything theyâre more active than the majority of 3rd gen groups). Iâm very curious what you think makes a âlegacy groupâ and why twice is considered one and other groups from their era arenât. submitted by /u/radio_mice [link] [comments]

I've been a ReVeluv since Ice Cream Cake came out but I've never listened to their discography in full because there I was overwhelmed at how huge it was; but recently I finally listened to their discography in chronological order Korean and Japanese releases. I do know a good handful of songs from nct, baekhyun, but I wanted more So I went on Spotify and found a playlist of rnb songs in kpop and started listening. I want to start by saying I was actually excited about Katseye in the beginning. They had a lot of hype, and I thought maybe this could be something fresh. But over time, the more I see, the more uneasy I feel ânot because I âhateâ them, but because I liked them at first and now I feel like the whole project has shifted into something that feels⊠off. Here are some of the things that bother me: Excessive marketing & propaganda vibes: The constant push through ads, influencers, and celebrities feels way too calculated. It doesnât feel organic at all almost like weâre being told to like them rather than naturally discovering them. Music that even they donât seem to love: The songs donât feel authentic or tailored to the members. They often come across as satire/meme-like, almost rage-bait designed to get people talking for the wrong reasons. Even the group themselves seemed unsure in the beginning, almost expecting to flop, and then suddenly there was this huge switch with all the promotion. That felt very strange. Styling issues: Their looks and styling feel disconnected and sometimes forced. Instead of elevating their image, it often feels like theyâre being used as mannequins for concepts that donât suit them. Queerbaiting & overly political packaging: Thereâs this constant undertone of baiting queerbaiting, political messaging, identity marketing that feels less about genuine representation and more about leveraging these things for attention. It makes the group feel more like a product than artists. Ads everywhere: The amount of Katseye ads is overwhelming. The GAP one was great classy, clean, effective but then it just became too much. Instead of flooding us with overproduced campaigns, I wish they had gone the route of partnering each member with a different brand. That way people could get to know each memberâs personality and individuality, instead of just pushing âKatseyeâ as this monolith. Marketing feels fake: Iâm sorry, but it does. I prefer artists who build a foundation with their fans, who let their style and music grow naturally. Right now it feels like Katseye is being treated like influencers thrown together in a group, not musicians trying to carve out their own lane. Reality show baggage: Yes, the girls went through a lot during training, and I respect their resilience. But letâs be real a lot of people would kill for the same opportunity, and reality TV is always edited to portray some people as better than others. Thatâs just how it works, and it makes the narrative around them feel even more manufactured. Over-sexualization: This one bothers me a lot. They were first marketed toward kids/younger audiences, then almost overnight the styling and presentation became overly sexualized. Itâs jarring and feels like theyâre being pushed into extremes for attention rather than developing a consistent image. The music: I canât sugarcoat it the songs just arenât good. They feel like satire/meme tracks or rage-bait, designed to go viral for the wrong reasons. And I get the sense that even the members donât fully love what theyâre performing. The bigger picture: Everything about this feels like bait queerbaiting, political undertones, viral marketing instead of artistry. And that sucks because the girls themselves are clearly talented. I still like Katseye because of their potential, but I wish their journey was more organic. They deserve to grow as a real group, not as a product of marketing experiments. And thatâs what really frustrates me. Because I do think the members themselves are talented, hardworking, and deserve better than being put in this kind of position. I feel like theyâre being packaged in a way that doesnât reflect them, and instead just uses them as bait to stir controversy and keep attention. Iâm curious if others feel this way too. Did you also like them at first but then start noticing all these red flags? Or do you see this as just normal marketing in todayâs industry? submitted by /u/LogComplete5617 [link] [comments]
