I've been obsessed with treating playlists like concept albums - complete storylines rather than random collections. My Cosmic Lounge follows this arc: Temptation (Playboy, Excuse Me Miss) → Seduction (Move, Want) → Descent (The Killa) → Peak (Criminal, IDEA) → Reflection (Aurora, Moon) → Dawn (Snooze) The creative process was so addictive and fun - listening to transitions between tracks, reordering, finding the perfect flow. Taemin alone can take you from sultry confidence in Move to vulnerable introspection. It's incredible how tracks hit differently when strategically placed versus standalone listening. Anyone else approach playlists like this? Context: Haechan from NCT Dream addressed fans' complaints that the company is "sabotaging" him because his solo project didn't get enough promo. This is his response. Combining this with Stray Kids’ statement about how insulting the company is also insulting them, it just shows that some idols do get to make decisions for themselves. Honestly, it’s always annoyed me when fans complain that their fave isn’t getting enough promotions, marketing, or collaborations. It's even worse when they send protest trucks about it. Because what if that idol doesn’t want the extra work? What if they’re happy just being rich? What if they're already satisfied with just making music? Not every idol even enjoys all aspects of idol life. It’s the same when fans say their favs don’t do enough variety shows. What if it’s simply because that idol doesn’t want to? Imagine how annoying it must be for idols to hear fans demanding they work more. Do more Korean variety shows! Why are there no US promos? Why is there little content? Why don't they have a collab?? Why don't they have an ambassadorship? Where's the brand deal for this member? Is this all the promo?? They're demading idols work even more or else the company is "sabotaging" you lol. Fans act like they know better when they might just be pushing their idols into things they don’t want to do. Of course not every idol has the privilege to choose their activities, but if you’re in a big group chances are you probably do have some say. I wish kpop fans would stop acting like children who just demand demand demand demand because they think they know better.
