I hate that everyone is lowkey always dragging itzy and claiming that they flopped every since sneakers. dont get me wrong I hated sneakers SM but their songs after that really weren't that bad. But as usual JYPE marketing and pr just sucks.. IMO katseye songs are always hated really bad at first but they r in mega marketing company HYBE who does their best to make sure you love that group no matter what. No hate to katseye i love the girls individually as people and talented singers but I hated gnarly and could not stand it, but it was EVERYWHERE!! Hybe really made sure to market them. In contrast, Itzy and a bunch of other jyp groups I literally didnt hear abt their comebacks at times. The only save itzy has had is their collab with barcelona and u could tell it worked cus ppl were like "oh itzy isnt flopping again" LIKE BYE THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN THIS GOOD!! They had one mid song and suddenly turned to "flops" like okay guys.. submitted by /u/Simple-Syllabub-6865 [link] [comments]

Comment a playlist title if you use decriptive titles and the song that you think best represents the sound you were going for. I'll simply comment songs I think you should add to that playlist. submitted by /u/I_OnlyWantedToBloom [link] [comments]
I just got to know that Chan only sings like the hip hip part and I was like what... I mean it's cool he sings in the rest of the album plus you really have to understand that it's his choice rather than unfait line distribution cause he's the producer lol. Apart from that I love the talk that they had on the process of making the songs and the different ad libs he's put in there. Also I do love this album... the song is a grower plus I love Phoenix. And they all look so good as well submitted by /u/AnxiousBlob_07 [link] [comments]

Brief introductory info (from wikipedia): Gallup Korea's Singer of the Year is selected annually through multiple public surveys conducted across South Korea by Gallup Korea. From 2020, survey is conducted in two categories on the basis of respondents' age group: 13–39, and 40 and above. From 2007-2014 they would release the top 5 results, but since 2015 they've expanded it to a top 10. Below I listed all the winners in bold, and their corresponding place overall in the poll in parentheses. I also listed all the runner-ups of each year (those who also made the top 5/top 10). Anyways without further ado: Girl Groups: 2007 – Wonder Girls (1st), Girls’ Generation (4th) 2008 – Wonder Girls (1st), Girls’ Generation (4th) 2009 – Girls’ Generation (1st), Wonder Girls (4th) 2010 – Girls’ Generation (1st), KARA (5th) 2011 – Girls’ Generation (1st) 2012 – Girls’ Generation (2nd) 2013 – Girls’ Generation (5th) 2014 – Girls’ Generation (2nd), Sistar (3rd) 2015 – Girls’ Generation (3rd), Sistar (5th), AOA (8th) 2016 – TWICE (2nd), Girls’ Generation (5th), GFRIEND (8th) 2017 – TWICE (2nd) 2018 – TWICE (2nd), Red Velvet (6th), BLACKPINK (7th) 2019 – TWICE (6th), Red Velvet (8th) 2020 – BLACKPINK (3rd), TWICE (5th), Red Velvet (8th) 2021 – BLACKPINK (3rd), aespa (6th), TWICE (7th), Brave Girls (10th) 2022 – BLACKPINK (3rd), IVE (4th), NewJeans (5th), aespa (8th), i-dle (9th) 2023 – NewJeans (1st), IVE (3rd), BLACKPINK (5th), aespa / i-dle (9th) 2024 – NewJeans (1st), aespa (3rd), IVE (5th), BLACKPINK (7th) Boy Groups: 2007 – BIGBANG (2nd) 2008 – BIGBANG (2nd) 2009 – BIGBANG (2nd), 2PM (3rd) 2010 – 2PM (2nd) 2011 – BIGBANG (2nd) 2012 – BIGBANG (3rd) 2013 – EXO (4th) 2014 – EXO (4th) 2015 – BIGBANG (1st), EXO (7th) 2016 – EXO (4th), BIGBANG (8th), BTS (10th) 2017 – BTS (4th), Wanna One (6th), EXO (7th), BIGBANG (8th) 2018 – BTS (1st), Wanna One (5th) 2019 – BTS (1st) 2020 – BTS (1st) 2021 – BTS (1st) 2022 – BTS (1st) 2023 – BTS (2nd) 2024 – BTS (4th), DAY6 (6th) Top Group Overall of Each Year: 2007 – Wonder Girls 2008 – Wonder Girls 2009 – Girls’ Generation 2010 – Girls’ Generation 2011 – Girls’ Generation 2012 – Girls’ Generation 2013 – EXO 2014 – Girls’ Generation 2015 – BIGBANG 2016 – TWICE 2017 – TWICE 2018 – BTS 2019 – BTS 2020 – BTS 2021 – BTS 2022 – BTS 2023 – NewJeans 2024 – NewJeans Now having seen all that, what do you think? Does this generally seem to match your impression of kpop at the time or in retrospect? Is there anything that stands out to you as particularly not aligning with your personal impression of kpop? Any groups on here that you're surprised by? Or vice-versa? How do you think this list might look if it was a general survey of ifans as opposed to South Korean residents (many of whom are not kpop fans)? Predictions for this year's poll? Or is there just anything that you feel is worth remarking on. Please, fire away; I'm curious about it all. I think the label of maknae as an official position is ridiculous. You’re the youngest? Great. Here’s a cookie and a glass of warm milk to go with it. It becomes a bit of a trap and pigeonhole even as idols grow into their mid-20s and older. How does being the maknae help as a singer or dancer? I know age is a huge deal in Korea and I understand its benefit in a debut cute concept or era, but how long does cute last before it turns cringe? How long are we expected to think ‘maknae on top’ behavior is funny and not bratty or lowkey rude? Do or will you seriously care who’s the youngest in a 7+ year old group? I’m grateful the maknaes in my groups have grown actual personalities, talent, and auras outside their birth order because I’m seeing other group maknaes cannot relate and once they hit 25 (if they haven’t already) they’ll just be the youngest member for as long as their groups are together. Let me know your answers to the question and shoutout the maknaes who are bigger and more than their ages. I’ll start first with Jungkook, Hwasa, and Tzuyu. And I am not a shawol, but Taemin is absolute king. I can’t imagine referring to him as just maknae after his Move and Guilty eras. submitted by /u/Royal_Law_3130 [link] [comments]
