Newjeans has obviously shown that they depend on Min Heejin. Whether itâs cause sheâs behind their concept, music, or their stockholm syndrome. But, isnât their job to sing and dance? Theyâre kpop idols. Many k-pop groups have pivot, changed, switched, done many concept changes. Tokkis/fans are pinning anything that Min Heejin probably wouldâve gave Newjeans as a concept or comeback. Like, their dance practice with Wonder Girls - Rewind. Itâs like, all Newjeans is IS mhjâs brand. Those girls probably think that. Which is why theyâre fighting so hard for that weirdo. Did they train just to become Min Heejinâs girl group, or k-pop idols? Min Heejin shouldâve started her own company in the first place. submitted by /u/Swimming_Mention2332 [link] [comments]

I need advice on how yall are coping with life since kpop demon hunters was released. I watched this movie the minute dropped, and it has completely consumed my life. I watch it every time I have a few hours available. This means I end up watching it anywhere between 3 and 5 times a day. Iâve stopped hanging out with friends, stopped keeping up with family, and I stopped working out and eating healthy. Iâve gotten fat and pale and hairy. The whole time Iâm watching the movie Iâm gooning hard. I like to goon to it on the toilet while facing backwards and then I put the phone or my laptop on the toilet. The other day, I was gooning backwards on the toilet and I was making noises that apparently sounded similar to that of Bornean orangutan. My mom got really freaked out by this and walked in on me gooning to kpop demon hunters. I think the hottest one is rumi. Sheâs so sexy. Anyway so my mom walked in on me and screamed and now itâs super awkward between us. Iâm just never coming out of my room again. How are you guys dealing with this? And when you guys are all gooning to kpop demon hunters how do you keep your mom away from you? How can I ensure this doesnât happen again (we donât have locks in our house). How many times a day do you guys watch the movie and who do you think is the sexiest? submitted by /u/patrick-latinahunter [link] [comments]
I found a chain of youtube accounts I used to use archive old kpop tv broadcasts and music videos I kept making new accounts because I kept getting copyright strikes but eventually stopped because I got my own computer in grade 9. I also found old crunchyroll from when it was just a forum and soshified account where I would spam link to translated snsd variety shows and links to ihoneyjoo and k2nblog letting people know releases were out. I remember back then I felt the need to tell everyone about snsd and wonder girls and I really really loved Sooyoung back then my god I posted about her so much. I was so annoying and had to let people know about kpop and asian music back then. submitted by /u/moomoomilky1 [link] [comments]

Iâve seen a ton of eyekons praising them for being so stable at lolla but there are times where it looks like theyâre pulling the mic away from their mouth but the âliveâ vocals continue? I havenât watched the whole performance but I noticed it particularly with Manon (no hate to her! â€ïž) They killed the performance either way and I know they definitely have the skills to sing live but Iâd be disappointed if they were made to lipsync. Or maybe the backtrack was just super loud? Iâm not an expert by any means but the vocals just donât sound super live to me if that makes any sense My tinfoil hat theory though is that after the hate train Le Sserafim got after Coachella HYBE said no more raw vocals at music fests lol. submitted by /u/ArendelleQueen [link] [comments]
CW: discussion of age gap sexualization I came across a post from older K-pop fans (40-65 year olds) saying they shouldn't be shamed for enjoying idols' content and appreciating their looks, assuming theyâre not concerningly delusional/parasocial. Including the like "I'm old, not dead" and I agree with the general sentiment wholeheartedly; I plan to keep loving K-pop as i have for 14 years now, my current faves, and even rookie groups as I get older. People should have hobbies and love any music and fandom spaces at any age. But what really bothered me was the replies from older women justifying their sexualization of idols in their 20-23. Some even went as far as to bring up "biological impulses" with things like "i have hormones too" and use the argument that older men do the same thing with women in their 18-20s. It just feels off to me. As someone who's almost 30, idols like TXT and Enhyphen who debuted when I was fresh out of university feel more like "kids" to me. I admire their music, talent, fashion and personality, but I donât have any attraction to them. In fact, I would hope that as I get older, I naturally become less attracted to rookie idols coming out. It's not necessary for being a fan and like the older idols are right there. (To be clear, acknowledging someone is attractive is different than being attracted to them and i think the former is fine no matter what.) Am I missing something or is it weird to feel uncomfortable when older fans sexualize idols significantly younger than them? Shouldnât people be more mindful or is it just me? It feels strange seeing people close in age to my mom (whoâs almost 50 and already refers to ppl my age as kids) sexualize people younger than me in they way that they discussed it. A lot of people online just seems to be either 2 extremes of any subject. On one hand you have people shaming older people for having hobbies or having fun as if you life is supposed to ends in adulthood and on the other hand you have occasions like this one. Like I have to side eye it all. submitted by /u/StarfireLighthouse [link] [comments]
