Ew trump. I do not support any misogynistic, white nationalist, incel, hitler-like (esp. Musk), racists at all and neither does this sub and apparently neither does reddit as a site as a whole. He stands against everything Kpop stands for which is an art form from a formerly colonized people from a country that is rising up against colonialism and hatred. Anyone who comments anything negative to this, or tries to defend that orange guy will be banned permanently. Go somewhere else, we don't want your lower kind here. Hey folks! Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories. Link to r/kpop's 'All About Flairs' Town Hall We included announcements for new flairs here on r/kpoppers and also on r/kpophelp. The following is the section relevant for this subreddit. NEW FLAIRS! Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc. Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics. We'll keep an eye on these new flairs to see if they create any confusion or need adjustments. Let us know if you have any thoughts, concerns, or questions! submitted by /u/alleybetwixt [link] [comments]
Let me try to explain before you say “every member is essential!!” Of course they are. Of course they ALL bring something unique. But I want to know, if you had to pick ONE member, whom do you subjectively feel adds a unique and irreplaceable extra layer? I wanna know who you think is the secret sauce, not the main ingredient! For example: Most people would say Zico is a “core member” of Block B as the group was pretty much built around him. I agree. But imo the member that elevates their songs is P.O. Thanks to his rough voice, his parts are always memorable, catchy, and add depth of emotion or extra umph iykwim. Especially felt it today as I was vibing to Let Them Know. For some of my other fav groups: Pentagon - gonna go with Wooseok. Hui may be the iconic voice of PTG but Wooseok’s verses never feel like a filler. They’re always interesting and new and different which makes me look forward to his parts. Seventeen - it’s incredibly difficult to choose among 13 members, but for me it’s Vernon’s voice that adds that extra something. EXO - I think Kai. His stage presence sells their songs every time. He adds a lot of sexiness to the group’s image. Would love to hear some well-thought out answers :) Remember guys, there’s no right or wrong answer as this is totally subjective! submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

Got some free time so I pulled the total streams + unique listeners from Spotify and Melon, since those are the main ones people talk about. I’m genuinely curious, are they still have solid kfanbase/kfandom? when i check top melon100 i was surprised to see none of their song chart in it, except jungkook ofc because he is the most popular members. Are those scandals affecting their reputation in korea? Or is it their kfans left fandom to stan newer group? Can their fans who closely followed their kfanbase/kfandom to update to me? I was reallyyyyy surprised to see spring day left the chary. Whats going on? I mean, even jump by blackpink still standing strongly. Somehow i think blackpink starting to get more popular in group especially in korea when they went solo. I honestly think apt or golden will surpass spring day longevity. I’m non fans and curious. Pls explain to me submitted by /u/Abitcommentfromme [link] [comments]
Almost every kpop subreddit is far from normal and everyones obsession with idols is just creepy. It’s one thing to look up to an idol or appreciate their music but the OBSESSION is just disturbing. The fanwars, the constant hatred towards New jeans, Acting like MHJ and Bangshihyuk aren’t equally evil, Misogynistic ass takes on female idols, Acting like the world is ending over idols being “lazy,” and the never-ending infantilization and fetishization. Kpop fans in real life are actually normal and dont give a fuck about any of this lol. They attend concerts, festivals, buy merch here and there and move on with their life submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]

Like all of your favorite idols got the same amount of work done on their face. It’s just very visible for some idols and for some idols its not as visible. The obsession with wanting idols to stay natural or get less work done is so weird lol submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]

It doesn't matter if the song is good or not. Also dont leave the group name (optional) submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
Are there K-pop groups where the leader changes whether they are performing in Korea or overseas? If the leader is not fluent in English and another member is when they are overseas, would the member who speaks English become the leader? submitted by /u/Jezzaq94 [link] [comments]
Fuxk the fanwars and all the toxic bs. I made the first joint group subreddit that covers BTS, Blackpink and Twice; all in ONE sub. r/BTSTwiceBlackpink It‘s kinda a "5 years in the future" type of vision. Let‘s connect everyone and their mum in this, love for everyone. No fanwars allowed. I fw y‘all ❤️🩷 submitted by /u/Once_Or_Twice_ [link] [comments]
