groups like ariaz, everglow, wooah, izone, elris, cherry bullet, weeekly, rocket punch, signature, stayc; weki meki, loona, wjsn, oh my girl, gfriend etc were still making music. also I miss superm and that era of nct + exo as well been feeling a lot of nostalgia for late third gen/ early 4th gen recently + I feel like there’s been lots of good girl group music recently that reminds me sonically of that era and was wondering if anyone felt similar submitted by /u/greenthrowaway4013 [link] [comments]
Hey! So I’m sure we’re tired of the whole “what songs did you hate at first but now love” question so how about, what song did you love at first to now hating? It can be for whatever reasons whether it just be how the person(s) are, the amount of times you’ve heard it, a certain lyric that now clicked, whatever it may be Mine is Fifty Fifty - Cupid The amount of times I heard it around was crazy. Like practically every store I’d hear “I gave a second chance to Cupid~,” every time (an exaggeration) I turned on the Radio “Cupid is so dumb~” like please stop 😭 I sorta felt this way with other popular songs like Butter & Dynamite. I don’t necessarily hate these three songs but it just got a bit annoying after awhile though low-key I miss it now 🥲. I also do definitely have a like for them still, just not as much as before. submitted by /u/JustAPerson-_- [link] [comments]

In this case, I'm talking about the second apology, which was written by the members. I'm asking because in literally every discussion about Kiss of Life, someone always comes up saying that this apology was written by AI. I've seen people saying that it was proven that Chinese fans used AI or something like that. So, honestly, is there any proof of this? Honestly, I'm not sure because, honestly, K-pop fans have a bad habit of spreading misinformation on the internet, so I don't really trust what I see people saying out there, especially on Tik Tok. So, is there any proof that the apology letter was written by AI? submitted by /u/Quirky_Scratch9168 [link] [comments]
I saw a lot of people do this earlier, and I want to take everyone's mind off of the drama that's happening in today's world. My playlist hit 285 songs, so pick a number and I'll tell you the song. https://preview.redd.it/lc0u3im9j58f1.png?width=1038&format=png&auto=webp&s=a33853d873665ae63e2ec2535efc55e96f9a6e13 submitted by /u/AKILUVSU [link] [comments]
i heard their new song and actually liked it, but before i can support them, i need to know how th black community feels about him wearing braids. Im not super into kpop, just an enjoyer of some songs, but i am also trying very hard to be aware of things people outside of my own race may feel, so i wanted to hear it directly from them. it must be hard being a black kpop stan before of just how much racism there is :( submitted by /u/JackHammerD_A [link] [comments]
If you’re not caught up on one of the latest scandals in the K-Pop community surrounding The Boyz member, Ju Haknyeon, whether true or not, there has been rumors going around that are tarnishing his reputation and putting his career at risk. The rumors stated that Haknyeon had been kicked out of his group because he paid a FORMER av actress for prostitution at a private setting. He has denied the claims and has stated that he will be taking legal action against the media outlets that falsely accused him. You can find more details about his side on his instagram page and on X. About an hour ago, the woman, Asuka, spoke up with some more evidence, also denying the allegations. Here is a quick summary from @Hakdew on X regarding the situation from the woman involved in the scandal. “Statement from the girl. Here's the gist: • She asks people not to spread false info • The Bunshun article isn't out yet, rumors are speculation • She denies prostitution/receiving money for s** • A woman they'd just met, who liked Haknyeon, took a photo & sold it to Bunshun” So in short it sounds like a sasaeng (or potentially someone hired) You can go read her post on X @asukakirarin. I feel for both the woman and Haknyeon for this mess and if this is true, I hope everyone involved in the attempt of defamation of the influencer and idol get what they deserve. submitted by /u/IsInevitable [link] [comments]

Not going to spoil anything but the visual, ost and story is surprisingly good. 93% on rotten tomatoes https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/kpop_demon_hunters submitted by /u/diplomat_extreme [link] [comments]
I only standout girl groups so if it's a gg I'll give my bias, if you name a boy group I'll name whoever stands out to me when I look up the group!!! submitted by /u/strwbryyeri [link] [comments]
Most other companies are falling in the trap of two-minute tiktok music, and which is starting to feel like fast food and really hurts the final product. It really feels like SM is the last holdout, still giving us songs that are five course gourmet meals with passion put into them by the producers, complete with bridges, complex harmonies, and high notes. Honestly I feel the same way about the artists skills too, where they are last big company to care about singing skill and idol artistry, but thats a topic for another discussion. So why do you think that is? submitted by /u/Lost-Investigator266 [link] [comments]
NGL this is the first time I've seen an idol push back publicly when their contract is terminated... I can see why he did so though, considering what people are accusing him of. I wonder how this will play out; this is a tough position for both him and everyone else still present in THE BOYZ. :( submitted by /u/grumpymacaron [link] [comments]
JUST KIDDINGGGG it’s great it’s amazing lol I love their album ! Billyyeeon Goyangi and the rest of their tracks. Honestly see a future with that’s going to go far! Genuinely I haven’t seen a post or tiktok or on X aka twitter, fans appreciating idols talent. I only see these people talking about the visuals, whether is it for bringing them down or uplifting them. I think we all should stop talking about their looks bc it’s boring and honestly their looks should be the least interesting thing about them submitted by /u/PinkMangoDolly [link] [comments]
Asuka Kirara denied all the prostitution allegations on her official twitter account. congrats to everyone who massacred haknyeon and her based on infunded articles and news. they deserve better. submitted by /u/Lu-Orbit [link] [comments]
A song is just a bunch of words on paper, but what really makes it come alive is what the artist brings to it. Rolling in the Deep works because of what Adele brings to it, even something as simple like 360 only works because of what Charli XCX brings to the table. That’s what’s missing for me with a lot of 5th-gen girl groups. Most of them don’t bring anything distinct vocally; they all kind of sound the same. It’s boring. I’ve listened to a bunch of songs from these groups, and I often catch myself thinking, someone else could’ve done this. Like when I heard Cherish My Love by ILLIT, I thought, this sounds like it could’ve been a Billlie song. By no means do I think their songs are bad, I just wish there was more diversity in sound. Or maybe I’m just getting old. submitted by /u/Flounder-Cute [link] [comments]
so... i was watching i-dle(아이들) 'Good Thing' (4K) | STUDIO CHOOM ORIGINAL and when miyeon came center around 1:44, i was like "wow, she looks so elegant, she could totally fit into IVE here." (i also think that she looks really out of place with her outfit but that's a discussion for another day) and so that got me thinking, if miyeon would be in ive, where would the other members go if they had to be in different groups? and here's what i came up with! i will say that i was kind of going based off of their outfits in the performance! miyeon - ive (as said earlier) shuhua - twice yuqi -billlie LIKE DO YALL SEE IT TOO ?? I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT i just think that she's look and sound so good there minnie - blackpink soyeon - everglow (or secret member) and this isn't to say that they do not belong in idle!! i love idle so much, i've been a casual listener for years <3 just wanted to have some fun! let me know your opinions and share your own! and remember to be nice! let's not fight about some silly thoughts and ideas, let's have fun! submitted by /u/chuuhavemyheart [link] [comments]
As the question reads, how do you feeling about gatekeeping in the kpop community? I have a friend who is launching themselves head first into the world of kpop and not only into kpop but into my ult group. Not sure how to feel about it. Been listening since 2018 and don't have any friends in real like that are into kpop and I am content with that. Thoughts? submitted by /u/black-cat104 [link] [comments]
