I was just thinking about how for me there’s a few songs I actually can’t listen to on a regular basis because of the emotions they make me feel. There’s a few which are more obvious tragic songs like those which are tributes and obviously make me feel sad when I hear them, but there’s also some less obvious songs. The #1 song I love but which I literally cannot listen to is SKZ Social Path. Don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing song (maybe one of their best ever) but it’s so raw and genuine about how much Chan (and all of them) struggled to get where they are that it actually makes me want to crawl out of my skin whenever I hear it. It’s equally hopeful as it is sad but even the hopeful parts are so honest that it almost makes me feel like I’m hearing something I shouldn’t. Every time I have such an emotional reaction to it that having it on my playlist just cannot happen. When I heard it live I bawled my eyes out. I still listen to it on occasion but I have to be in such a specific mood. Are there any songs you feel similarly about or that bring up a strong feeling for whatever reason that you can’t listen to them without having a reaction like that? submitted by /u/Additional_AR [link] [comments]
Is it just me or does whiplash by aespa sound extremely similar to don’t click play by Ava max. What do you think???😊 submitted by /u/No-Recording-3274 [link] [comments]
First off I want to make it very clear that none of what I say should be taken as an excuse to shame any idols. If you must moralize, critique the taste of the general public. Anyway, this thought came to me after a TikTok about why NMIXX isn't more popular inspired me to go back to Nmixx's predebut covers. The amount of tight cropped shirts really stood out to me, and the dance choreos were at times a bit much. The videos that showed more skin were also the ones with the most views. Contrast that vibe with O.O, which is the most chaste major gg debut I can think of. There's basically no romance in the lyrics and the MV outfits are very baggy and fluffy. Also, the members can absolutely bring romantic chemistry. All of the fandom's ships are not based on nothing. It just seems like the creative direction for songs is much more on the cool side of things and the GP hasn't latched on. Do you agree with this read of the branding of NMIXX's songs? submitted by /u/RoyGeraldBillevue [link] [comments]
this is no hate towards the boys im making this to know peoples actual opinions! its for fun! but skz work very hard and i aprecciate all their hard work! (was listening to LALALALA while making this) submitted by /u/SuspiciousCurve3341 [link] [comments]
I feel like everyone thought the same, gnarly was terrible at first listen I thought the song was a joke and everyone was lying when the gnarly leaks came out, but after like the 3rd listen I actually kinda liked it.. 😭 submitted by /u/hearts4him_ [link] [comments]
i’m sure it’s happened a few more times than these three i can think of but it’s super cool when members are able to step up and you can’t tell the lead is missing. my first experience with this was nu’est 3rd anniversary. main vocal baekho had surgery to get vocal nodes removed and wasn’t able to record vocals for “i’m bad” special single album. (nu’est would later have a come back with our lead vocal minhyun who was in wannaone at the time.) the second was when solji from exid was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism right before the eclipse album and wasn’t doing well. hyelin slide so fucking hard on that album omg especially on boy. we knew she had it in her it wasn’t a surprise ,but it was great to hear. the most recent was itzy’s lia taking a break for her mental. some might say “well lia doesn’t sound that good anyway” to that i say this is not a shit on lia safe space BEYOCH that’s on mr. vampire final version!!! can you think of anymore? please let me know! i didn’t include live performance where the lead vocals were covered by others intentionally but if you have some still feel free to share. submitted by /u/pinkygarfeild [link] [comments]
So for example, Seventeen debuted in 2015, and i can either choose their discography from 2015-2020 or 2020-2025. It pains me to say this, but I’ll pick the later half. I’m so sorry Mansae my love 😢 submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

Today marks the 6th anniversary of X1's debut , and it seems like many of those who once loved the group still remember this date , myself included . I have a small painting of the X1 logo I made 5 years ago on this exact date in the memory of x1 that I keep next to my bed that reminds me of them every day and night . To this day thoughts about X1 are still flooding , people are still talking and the name is still mentioned . The grief that comes with the "what if"s is still lingering around the social media spaces , "What if they never disbanded" "How popular they could've gotten" , all things I still see weekly online , alongside the sad edits that I avoid because they make my heart hurts , the discourse that is still well and alive surrounding certain members and moments and the decision to disband them itself . I remember what I was exactly doing when Flash dropped , it was some of the best times of my life , genuinely , the days that came before it , the disbelief that my pick debuted and I get to follow him for 5 years did not fade until that fact became not real , the days after were just as exciting , the chaos , the content , the never ending achievements , the music show wins , that was until the scandal got public , and I was delusional believing that "nothing would happen" because I was not in the mood to witness a tragedy in front of my eyes . Safe to say , 6th January 2020 was one of he worst days of my life , I got depressed for a while , it was not just that but 13 year-old me felt that his life was falling apart . As the present goes , I have moved on completely , I still support the members individually and I stayed with my bias who is now my ult and I am having so much fun with his group right now . X1 had to disband , no question , it would be unfair to the trainees who were rigged out and and it would be such a terrible connotation to have as a group . It was the right choice . I personally stopped feeling the need of X1 , I do miss them , but not everything missed needs to be restored . Of course I still get excited when they interact but more in a "I am glad they still talk to each other" way than "X1 reboot" way , nono . I have many opinions about X1 rebooters , they act as if the members are dead , they refuse to acknowledge the ex-members of X1 new activities and are frankly stuck on the same 5 clips that they keep reusing . I don't even call myself a oneit anyone since a very long time , and I suspect that said people haven't been X1 fans when it happened , they're just in love with the idea of X1 , not the ex-members . Support WOODZ , Hyeongjun and Minhee in Cravity , Han seungwoo the soloist and from VICTON , Toni Rei , Eunsang in YOUNITE , Junho in DRIPPIN , Hangyul in BAE173/POLARIX , Kim Wooseok the soloist from Up10tion , Yohan in WEi , and Dongpyo . I apologize for strange English . submitted by /u/GrabMore8308 [link] [comments]
Recently it was announced that hybe will debut another global girlgroup next year with Emily kelavos an Eliminated contestant from dream academy a show that formed katseye as one of the member. Aside from runext hybe had always gave the Eliminated trainees from their previous survival shows a second chance like what they did to the Eliminated trainees of I-land a second chance to debut as &team and recently with the debut of another japanese bg aoen who's consist Hikaru and gaku an Eliminated trainees from &audition a show that formed &team. As of now we haven't see the Eliminated trainees from runext in hybe new projects there are some theories that they all had leave the label but who knows I could be wrong and they might be in source music or Pledis new girlgroup line up. submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Hey everyone, today Twice returns with their 6th Japanese album, one I’ve been eagerly waiting for. We last saw the group release their album, This Is For, a project that is good, but felt like a lot of the songs could’ve been more fleshed out than what they were given. I hope this album feels more fleshed out than what This is For delivered. Now let’s jump into this new album from the group and see what got delivered. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ https://preview.redd.it/6ytzr1gypelf1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9656ffe26a82fee4d160ccbe974745e273daef39 Enemy - Twice Up to You Dahyun helps write the opening song on the album, one that brings in the summer vibe. The vocals slap hard right out of the gate. The instrumental has a bit of a funky vibe to it that fits perfectly with the summer season. The hook is catchy, adding to the summer vibe the producers crafted. I love the thumping nature of the chorus as it fits the performance of the members. We do get a guitar in the instrumental that adds to the overall melody. I find this track does a great job opening up the album as the group brings in strong vocal moments that will keep pulling me back for more. https://preview.redd.it/hsg9vgc6qelf1.jpg?width=225&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f38aa51ae699326404da2e7e349f47ce374a447 »»————- ★ ————-«« Enemy Enemy was released as a single at the end of July, and since then, it’s been on repeat for me. I love that went twice with a pop-punk vibe, which was unexpected. The member’s vocals fit wonderfully with the rock-sounding instrumental. We do get some vocal effect in a few parts of the track that I'm not the biggest fan of I feel like the takes nothing away from the song. The chorus still hits as hard as the first time hearing it. Jeongyeon hits some killer notes during the second verse, as that’s one moment pulling me back for more. I would love to see Twice do more pop-punk songs cause they fit really well with that sound, and it’s different for them. Enemy was a good choice for a single, as it got me excited to see what this album had to offer. https://preview.redd.it/tuym8e0aqelf1.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6a9f203a1f76439bc237f09914aa24ea1942a18 »»————- ★ ————-«« 3. Fine Synths open up this funky-pop tune that has been stuck in my head like crazy. The smooth vocal performance from the group hit hard as they blended wonderfully with the instrumental. The hook is another strong moment that keeps pulling me back since I first heard it. We get a bit of rapping in the second verse, more like sing-rapping which adds to the vibe of the backing track. The bridge brings in more synths, adding to the vibe before the clapping drum machine returns. I’m excited to have this tune on repeat because everything about this tune hits hard. https://preview.redd.it/tyqvswacqelf1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=061f662d523c7a7b00b911b46041d25e600851d6 »»————- ★ ————-«« One Day A guitar and some synths open up the fourth track on the album as the rock vibe returns in some fashion. The thumping nature of the instrumental fits the sweet delivery of the vocals. The chorus has a chill vibe to it, which adds to the overall vibe. The sing-rapping in the second verse fits the vibe and is a nice addition to the track. The chorus has been growing on me with its groovy vibe that will continue to pull me back for more. The members put on a killer performance that keeps this tune from becoming uninteresting. https://preview.redd.it/0f559hqhqelf1.jpg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb23de7016a820e0802920875b3c2f75d46937fa »»————- ★ ————-«« Blind in Love The fifth song on the album has a piano melody that blends with the funky beat. I love the slick vocals from the members as they help get this tune stuck in my head. I can see where a rap verse could work since that might fit well with the instrumentation. The more I listen to this tune, the more the backing track pulls me back. Each member does a killer job with the vocals, adding to the vibe that hits pretty hard. https://preview.redd.it/5to87j7kqelf1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=604c9b10d9852519649443c122e3e20b9d43eb1f »»————- ★ ————-«« Love is More Twice goes for a jazzy vibe on the sixth track on the album, one that switches things up a bit. The vocals from the members fit with the jazzy nature of the instrumental, as I wasn’t expecting a bit of a jazz vibe in a Twice tune. The member’s vocals are on point as they keep impressing me with each listen of this tune. The chorus has a chill vibe to it, blending with a bit of jazz that is delivered in the instrumental. https://preview.redd.it/q8yndvopqelf1.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1950433891417b93f58754216f9d8f9f88a95681 »»————- ★ ————-«« The Wish The Wish was released back in December, and it’s still on repeat for me. The piano melody with the thumping percussion blends perfectly with the sweet vocals. The chorus still puts a smile on my face as it has this sweet vibe that fits winter perfectly. During the second verse, we get a rap section that adds to the overall nature of the beat. I do find The Wish a little out of place on this album since it fits more with winter, but the more I think about it, I find this tune fitting for this project. https://preview.redd.it/9cargxjsqelf1.jpg?width=225&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a2119d5632a9fce2c354acc4e577a5d6fd4d52eb »»————- ★ ————-«« 8. Glow As we move into the eighth song, the group goes for this acoustic track packed with emotion. Chaeyoung does a great job opening up the track as she pulls me right into this tune. The melody with the member’s vocals made me tear up a bit cause of how the emotion hit me. The guitar was a perfect choice for this tune, letting the vocals shine even more. The hook keeps the momentum that the first verse delivered, and the emotion continues. The members deliver sweet vocals on this tune as it warms my heart during my listen. We do get a bit of a drum machine during the chorus as we get closer to the end of the track. I love the ending of this tune as the guitar closes out the song, which is packed with emotion. https://preview.redd.it/fal9rr4wqelf1.jpg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=995de1ecf7104bcccec2f804449211c8cfc37542 »»————- ★ ————-«« Like 1 Taka and Toru from my favorite Japanese band One ok Rock produced the closer for this album, while Jihyo helped write the track. The pop-punk vibe is back, ending this album on a strong note. The guitar and percussion craft this killer melody. The hook has been stuck in my head since I first heard it last week. The vocals from the group fit this pop-punk sound so well, I can’t help but wish for another song in this style. I still have this tune on repeat cause it’s stuck in my head since last week, and I just want to hear it more and more. https://preview.redd.it/yyyw4o2zqelf1.jpg?width=201&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19510e986b2e26575c15c15875bf2d4e82985e4d ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Summary: Twice is back with their sixth Japanese album, one that I find to be a little better than This is For, released in July. The songs on Enemy are fleshed out better and sound like the group is elevating their sound a bit. It’s dope ot hear Twice going for pop-punk on songs like Enemy and Like 1, which are two of my favorites. Love is more of a jazzy feel to it, which surprised me during my first listen. Glow is packed with emotion with a stripped-down vibe that helps elevate the tune. It’s getting hard to pick a favorite off this album as I return to it a lot, but one thing I’ll tell you is I’ll be having this album on repeat like crazy. https://preview.redd.it/ld5dexhyqelf1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab7700e27bf712e551d106ee9bf4eab27c357b42 ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
