Make sure to explain why you like it :) Here’s a few of my favs: VIXX’s The Scientist - Obsessed with this one right now. Incredibly clean dancing. Those constant formation changes, wow. Everyone standing out as a competent dancer. And N. Just N. He is EVERYTHING. Seventeen’s Mansae and Aju Nice - You can just tell they’re having so much fun in these. They’re a joy to watch. Vernon and Jun getting into a brief butt smacking war in Mansae (you gotta watch both Hide and Seek ver to see the full thing lmao). Pentagon’s Spring Snow, adorable goofing around and having fun, cartwheels and piggyback riding. Also Round 2 because lol. submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

4.982. Most successful companies on the Produce/Planet series by number of debuting trainees so far (pre-Boys II Planet)

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Or, which companies have had the largest number of trainees make it to the debuting group of the Produce/Planet survival shows? Which idols came from the same company? Boys II Planet is airing tomorrow, so I thought I'd post this before it changes in a few weeks!! + I added some data comparing this list to companies sending trainees to Boys II Planet :) Please note: Some of these companies now go by different names, have moved, or no longer exist. The names used below are what was used during the airing of each show, but companies that changed names between shows are still grouped together. Like, a huge portion of these idols are now under different companies, this is not a source of where they are now. They're listed with the company they were under when they participated on their shows. This is just for fun and for the sake of simple (and hopefully interesting) data. Obviously, in no way is this an accurate measure for how successful companies are in general (especially considering rigging happened during Produce... but with that being said, higher ranked companies doesn't necessarily mean companies that rigged more votes) There's a high likelihood of mistakes being present, please don't hesitate to correct me if needed! Entertainment companies listed alphabetically if tied, trainees listed in chronological order of the show they were on -> their final ranking 1. Yuehua Entertainment - 6 trainees Choi Yena (Iz*One) - P04 Cho Seungyoun (X1) - P05 Zhang Hao (Zerobaseone) - P01 Ricky (Zerobaseone) - P04 Kim Gyuvin (Zerobaseone) - P07 Han Yujin (Zerobaseone) - P09 2. I love designing things for people so I’ve decided to make some custom lock screens of idols for fellow stans (they will be free)! If you want one, comment with your style and favorite colors and any additional details you want to add. Then reply to yours comment with up to 4 pictures you want me to use. I will dm you to let you know it’s in the making and then again with the finished product! Attached is a very simple example of ENHYPEN in my style! submitted by /u/Fantastic-Display-26 [link] [comments]

4.984. Does anyone else feel like some newer K-pop groups go heavy on ‘emotion’ but it doesn’t always land?

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I listened to a debut track that felt super earnest and emotional — almost cinematic. Made me wonder if this emotional route works or feels forced for rookies. Thoughts? Cuz I’ve seen a few groups debut lately with concepts leaning more into ballad/rock, very 'sentimental' type vibes — not the usual EDM or dance-heavy stuff. Is that too niche to stand out in 2025? submitted by /u/CitySquare132 [link] [comments]

4.986. What's your opinion on AKMU ( Akdong Musician ) ?

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

AKMU is not a "traditional" kpop group, some argue that they aren't kpop at all ( Don't wanna get into all that ). Sibling duo of musical prodigies Lee Chanhyuk and Lee Suhyun who became a household name in South Korea, still are. Honestly they have so many great songs, Lee Suhyun is one of my favourite voices kpop or otherwise. submitted by /u/DiMpLe_dolL003 [link] [comments]

4.987. i wish 4th and 5th gen idols have businesses

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Since I followed Jpop last year, it's a shock to me that most rookie idols have businesses. And I'm not talking about the nugu ones that have no choice but to do side hustles---I'm talking about rich kid idols with a decent amount of popularity and fans. They even actively promoting it on their Instagram accounts. I mean, how can they have time for their business while promoting as an idol, and is also a shock that their company allowed them to do it. Too much freedom... and I wish Kpop idols could do this too. submitted by /u/Miserable_Seat_9226 [link] [comments]

5.000. Financial authorities to refer HYBE founder Bang Si-hyuk to prosecution for fraudulent transactions worth 400 billion KRW

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

The financial authorities have decided to refer Bang Si-hyuk, founder and chairman of HYBE, to the prosecution on charges of engaging in fraudulent and unfair trading during the company’s listing process, allegedly deceiving shareholders and gaining about 400 billion KRW in illicit profits. This marks the first case under the Lee Jae-myung administration in which financial regulators have imposed strong sanctions on a corporate owner-level figure. The Financial Services Commission’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) held a regular meeting on the 16th and decided to report Chairman Bang to the prosecution. Referring a case to the prosecution is the most severe penalty the financial authorities can impose on an individual suspected of violating the Capital Markets Act, apart from administrative sanctions. According to the Capital Markets Act, if the gains or avoided losses from such violations exceed 5 billion KRW, the offender can face life imprisonment or a minimum of five years in prison. Professor Lee Jeong-hwan from Hanyang University’s Department of Economics and Finance commented on the allegations, stating, “It appears to be a case of market manipulation that sacrificed ordinary investors,” and added, “If the allegations are true, strong financial penalties are necessary as it was ultimately aimed at financial gain.” https://m.seoul.co.kr/news/economy/finance/2025/07/17/20250717018001 Note : Unrelated to the NJ/MHJ/Hybe case so I don’t post it on the mega thread submitted by /u/redubellbet [link] [comments]
