Does kpop revolve around visuals? Yes. It's a major part of marketability and is in addition, a tool to expand a group's popularity. But when kpop fans go too far with the visual rankings, demeaning a person's worth to only their appearance, as well as just calling the idol ugly, is just so wrong. I just saw a vid praising eunwoo's visuals, then a bunch a v stans rained hell in the comment section. I only commented when I saw a joshua mention, because he's my fav visual in kpop subjectively. Then other fans started saying, "Joshua's no way near the attractiveness of v or eunwoo," and similar comments. It just upsetted me the way people are casually insulting idol's appearance. After analyzing Bailey Sok's dance, both from pre-debut videos and recent fancams, I was surprised by how well she dances. It's been a while since I've seen an idol with so much energy on stage and a stage presence that really caught my attention. Besides choreographing dances for Lisa, Aespa, Red Velvet, and even more groups, I find it incredible. I wonder if right now we could consider her one of the best dancers of this generation or if not, the best dancer in the industry. What do you guys think? Curious about different groups actual popularity levels. For me it was obviously BTS and Blackpink, plus Twice.
