Do any of your fav songs work well with the delayed instrumentals or vocals edits I sometimes see on youtube? I stumbled across red velvets peek a boo 10sec delay a while ago and would love to hear more cool versions!! https://youtu.be/LS1USP6YJkY?si=xavMvf9CJrm-FhCu submitted by /u/btsmaryall [link] [comments]

Not to be a complete company glazer, I am still not completely over Pristin, nues't and afterschool. But the generation of trainees they've trained are very top notch imo. (All sunbaes are talented, and reputation to be kind). I was watching Boys Planet 2 and Donggyu really impressed me. Like, as such a young age, he can choreograph, sing and rap. He's super good looking and has a nice attitude. TWS needs no further proof. They have solid singing, dancing skills, and manners. Hopefully, they get more involved in choreo, arrangement and lyrics like their sunbaes. Idntt's Dohun too. I've only seen the MV, but he is also very good looking, good dancer and his voice is heavenly. Both were apparently in the TWS line up. And damn. Pledis' trainees are top quality. I think xikers had another ex-pledis trainee too in Seeun, and someone else. Only saw their Maestro cover and great dancer! Makes me curious of the female pledis trainees of their generation's talents. All in all, vote for Donggyu if you can, stream boytube. And stay tune for TWS's comeback in October! submitted by /u/moneyshot6901 [link] [comments]
So I’ve read and heard from people who just straight up hate the whole idea of Kpop not being original or anything in that sense. I know for a fact that Kpop wasn’t invented out of thin air but calling it cheap and soulless is ignorant. submitted by /u/Connect-Detail1828 [link] [comments]
She surprised me in the best way. I don't know why but I was expecting cookie cutter pop when I initially pressed play but WOW her production is outstanding and the mix of heavy synthpop with those vocals and is giving me Kylie Minogue 2000's era and I'm here for it. This is everything and more. She is giving us choreography with bops and personality. I mean come on, she's a superstar. Recommendations: Machine Girl, Superscar, Go, DeathbyDevotion. submitted by /u/onlyeveryotherday [link] [comments]
Apparently the venue was smelt like someone had pooped, but what I wanna know is: if the venue was so large, how can everyone smell the poop? Let's say someone pooped at the furthest back section, does the smell just waft forwards? also the Goyang Stadium is apparently open-air venue right, so wouldnt the smell not linger as strong or long as somewhere covered? submitted by /u/Creatingmugi [link] [comments]

The editing was so weird on this episode (and for all episodes really but this one a lot). I kinda got the vibe they didn't like each other. Like it looked like Yuna was annoyed. The Spice Girls seemed a bit mad at ITZY for their preformance sticking to a plan and being robotic and not fun?? ITZY seemed to care alot about and looking forward to the tea thing, but the Spice Girls I dont think fully understood the gesture and thought it was just a normal get together? We were shown very little actual interaction between them. The whole vibe between them the entire episode was just off 😭 I think this is just because they are really nothing alike but the editing and awkward cuts and stuff sometimes made it feel like they didn't like each other. None of this matters in the end, I don't think they actually dislike each other, dont take it seriously but I just wanna know if anyone else thought this lol submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
I’ve been going back to some early 2000s K-pop and I keep wondering about this. On one hand, Lee Hyori was literally everywhere in Korea after 10 Minutes. People even called it “Hyori Syndrome.” She was the face of ads, variety shows, fashion trends, you name it. But then there’s BoA, who was on another level internationally. She basically lived on the Oricon charts in Japan and sold millions there, which feels huge considering how rare that was for a Korean artist back then. So I’m curious if you had to pick, who do you think was actually more popular overall back then? And who left the bigger impact long term? submitted by /u/savingrace0262 [link] [comments]

i’ve gone through 35/154 ! which is way less than i expected so far , but its hard!! i’ll also share my favorite albums/eps so far! everything here is 100% subject to change i’ll probably shuffle things around a lot as i listen more. the tiers are in order too, so for example, 9muses is my favorite in the top tier, while brown eyed girls is at the bottom of that same tier. ⚠️ just because a group has one of my favorite albums doesn’t mean i think their entire discography is the best ⚠️ top 10 kpop girl group albums/eps (so far) Fe3O4 Forward — NMIXX The Billage of Perception — Billlie Assemble24 — tripleS Heart Attack — AOA Love City — 9muses Drama — aespa The Blue — APRIL Dreaming — APRIL Very Berry — BerryGood Pink Blossom — Apink (sorry if i messed up any album names, i was rushing 😭) tier explanations basically no skips → almost every song is high quality, with a lot of variety across the discography. no real weak tracks. amazing → most songs are good, but either the sound isn’t very diverse or they just didn’t click with me as much. average → about what i’d normally expect from a group. sometimes one standout song bumps them up (e.g. blackpink — “as if it’s your last” saved them from going lower). bored → very little variety, feels like the group hasn’t really built a unique musical identity yet. what is this → not my style at all. usually messy instrumentals or bad mixing. submitted by /u/BusyTomato9539 [link] [comments]

why are k-pop stans recently so obsessed, chronically online and hateful. don’t get me started on the the performative hate waves they love to embark on. when i liked k-pop back in 2015 is was so peaceful colourful and fun, now i can’t even go online without being slapped in the face with fan wars, chart obsessed people, getting mad over the tiniest things, telling idols to delete themselves. body shaming, saying idols are ugly, spreading HUGE misinformations. Genuinely…. im so tired of this im sorry but i think k-pop fandoms has turned from what used to be a safe fun place to the worst group of people and im so tired of it all. like TOUCH SOME GRASS. i have NEVER looked at a group and gone “wow i hate them” they are all good artists and music is subjective, jf you don’t like the song MOVE ON. don’t hate !!! idols are allowed to date, idols are allowed to drink, smoke and guess what they are allowed to have their own opinions too !! not everything in the world is black and white and sometimes i think people need to direct all this hate and passion to the people who MATTER aka governments, leaders, ACTUALLY BE PRODUCTIVE. ok bye rant over submitted by /u/sonotmeanttobe [link] [comments]
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Hey everyone, I hope you all had a good week. My week was pretty good as we’ve had some cooler days; in a few weeks, autumn will arrive. We did get some fantastic tunes that helped move the week forward, and I kept having them on repeat. I’m excited to see what the next month will bring for music, so with all of that out of the way, let’s jump into the music and see what the artists delivered this week. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ https://preview.redd.it/om9q8dd917mf1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=430bf4c36d6b0d3bf8597da04f8adfaefed03b3e Other Korean Releases of the Week: August 26th 이렇게 하자 (with 소섬 (SOSEOM)) - Yoon Jong Shin Yoon Jong Shin is back with a new single for his monthly series, which he does every year. For the new single, he teams up with SOSEOM. Synths and guitars open up the track, bringing a city-pop feel. The vocals are smooth, blending wonderfully with the instrumental. The hook is pretty relaxing as the vocalist delivers some sweet vocals during that section. It’s cool to see Yoon Jong Shin teaming up with an independent singer. I like the vibe of this tune as it almost reminds me of the 2021 track he did with Miyu. https://preview.redd.it/gwbenljr17mf1.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=424b9b595f314b1634643aaaee4b34cc45cc82f0 »»————- ★ ————-«« August 27th Elevation - Lun8 Lun8 released their first Japanese album, one I was excited to hear. Most of the album has already been pre-released, so I’ll be talking about the new songs. "We Just" is the first new track, bringing in a funky-pop vibe that fits the group's vocals wonderfully. I’ve been having this one on repeat as it’s been getting stuck in my head, and the rapping adds to the vibe. On the opposite side of things, Motley Crew is a different vibe a the instrument goes for this strong vibe. The backing track reminds me of those dark boy group songs that I enjoy. The vocals from Lun8 hit hard as they keep pulling me back for more. The hook is one of my favorites as I’ve been having this on repeat just like We Just. Riding High brings in a sweeter vibe that works well for the group. I’m glad the group debuted in Japan cause their Japanese songs have been on repeat since we first heard them. Elevation is a great Japanese album from a Boy group. https://preview.redd.it/cs2pyd9227mf1.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a43b778e7181560523a66a418b8bc8bce2edfa9d »»————- ★ ————-«« Non-Korean Releases of the Week: Disco Nap - Shania Yan This week, when I was on Instagram, I was recommended an Indonesian singer called Shania Yan. I found her original music reminding me of Disney Channel meets anime music. Her new single, Disco Nap goes for a funky-synth-pop tune. The sweet vocals blend with the bouncy beat that helps create the catchy melody. The hook explodes for this catchy moment that will be stuck in your head. Shania’s voice fits the instrumental and the lyrics she is singing. I feel like this tune will have to grow on me, but at the moment, I’m enjoying what she delivered to the table with her new single. https://preview.redd.it/yxc1hred27mf1.jpg?width=354&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=786aa6955eecf600493d82a012c0fa7a5ae7b595 »»————- ★ ————-«« Lastfm Weekly Roundup (August 22nd - August 28th) Artist: Twice https://preview.redd.it/hr6kpl2l27mf1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=768504c79f5529af09fd5d285ec26b08127ec627 »»————- ★ ————-«« Album: IVE Secret - IVE https://preview.redd.it/plo2op4s27mf1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24fa0cf681fa97566dfccc296ab51bcab575fc5c »»————- ★ ————-«« Song: Dear, My Feelings - IVE submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
It's always "i like __ but not their fandom" but are there any groups that you can't seem to get into or like but their fandom is so sweet so you like the fandom more? For me it would be izna, i don't really like them because i'm not interested in their music but i like izna fans submitted by /u/Artistic-Network-247 [link] [comments]
I'm completely aware of how incredibly parasocial this is and that it's a cultural thing as well, but there are so many moments in different types of content (variety shows and such) where members of kpop groups are praised for being a good son/daughter for doing xyz or someone mentions being so thankful for their parents and stuff, that it always makes me - someone who doesn't have a relationship with their parents and came from a difficult home life - wonder whether that's actually true for all these idols? Even the parents who seemed to not be supportive of their kids career choice have come around (obviously the perception of this is very much shaped by confirmation bias, but still!) and the ones who seem to have stage-parent-y type parents also don't really seem to mind (from what we're shown publicly at least) idk, I know it's probably a cultural thing to not really talk about this kind of thing, but I'm curious if there's anyone in a situation like that in kpop (that we know of) submitted by /u/apenguinwitch [link] [comments]
Winners from last time: Jihyo (twice) Irene (red velvet) Karina (aespa) IMPORTANT: Remember how on day one I said that the max amount of people from each group is 1-2? Well since twice is a bigger group I went with two and we have already reached the max amount of twice members. No twice votes will be counted anymore. This week’s is the center. submitted by /u/No-Recording-3274 [link] [comments]
I have a playlist for just my ult group and then a playlist for every song that is not from my ult group. Then I have a playlist for every song, which is those two playlists combined, and named as such (not the name but for example "ult group + non-ult songs") All this has created a mental block in my head of sorts where I view my ult group music and non-ult group music as two fully separate distinct things. I also view all my non-ult group music as just one thing. Because of this, I kind of feel like I grow to resent my ult group music a bit. Because in my brain, when I listen to my ult group, I feel like I am locking myself into listening to only one group when the alternative is to listen to every other kpop song ever created. This is all because I only view kpop songs as one of two things, from my ult group, or not from my ult group. This leads to me listening to my ult group less than I normally would actually like to do. Also, since I am more familiar with my ult group music, I am more likely to skip it because I feel like I am wasting my time and stopping my self from listening to the entire vast world of kpop (all music that isn't my ult group) as I already know this song so well. Ik this sounds really stupid but idk how to get over this mental block. I still like having the playlists I do and I don't want to change them. Was just wondering if anyone else ever experienced this? submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
