I have a feeling that the new group will probably do something similar to "Touch" if not more softer and more girly. I dont think Hybe will actively pit their concepts against each other especially after knowing Katseye worked well with stronger and more mature concepts. I think Katseye will release more songs like M.I.A, Gnarly, and Gabriela. They will probably experiment more since the group is admittedly soooo versatile but it'll lean towards stronger concepts. Im excited for the new group honestly because for one-- Lexie is there. Hybe wanted her so bad and it's might be because they want to push a certain concept. Considering they will debut a Japanese member, it's definitely going to be a softer or a chiller concept compared to Katseye. But I'll be surprised if they go for a different concept honestly. If anything, I dont think there will be major comparisons between both groups since I feel like their main goal is to shut down upcoming competitions in the market from other kpop companies by debuting another girl group that will perform what their existing group isnt doing. Honestlyyy i cant help but look forward to what both groups will bring to us aaaa. submitted by /u/Apprehensive-Turn230 [link] [comments]
His album Archive 1: [Road Runner] It's incredible, I love R&B, he's the right one for this genre. And when he did AM PM with Wheein (EP SOMO: FUME), they're both amazing at R&B. submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]

Iāve noticed something in K-pop communities that has been bothering me for a while: the way some fans react whenever an idol is spoken about in a way that isnāt 100% praise. If a comment is neutral, constructive, or even just slightly critical, it often gets dismissed as āhateā or ājealousy.ā This mindset reflects a much bigger problem in the fandom, the idolization of idols to the point where theyāre treated as flawless beings rather than human individuals. This culture of idol worship creates unrealistic expectations. Fans expect idols to be perfect at all times: perfect visuals, perfect behavior, perfect personalities. But no one can live up to that standard. When idols inevitably show a flaw, make a mistake, or simply act like normal people, they get torn apart online, often by the same fans who used to āworshipā them. We can see this with several idols. For example, Jang Wonyoung from IVE is constantly under scrutiny, people either praise her endlessly or attack her for the smallest things, like her facial expressions, eating habits, or body language. Jungkook from BTS has also been heavily scrutinized whenever he breaks away from the āgolden boyā image that fans created for him. Even idols like Karina from aespa or Chaewon from LE SSERAFIM face backlash for things as small as being ātoo quietā or not smiling enough on camera. This double standard is exhausting, and itās harmful not just to idols but to the fandom itself. It prevents genuine discussion. If we canāt talk about idols as real people with strengths and weaknesses, then weāre just reinforcing the toxic cycle where fans demand perfection and idols are forced to perform an unrealistic image. Idols are artists, entertainers, and yes, celebrities, but theyāre also human beings. Admiration is fine. Love and support are great. But worshipping them as if they can do no wrong is dangerous, because when reality doesnāt match the fantasy, the backlash becomes brutal. I think as fans, we should try to maintain a healthier perspective: enjoy what idols give us, appreciate their hard work, but also recognize that theyāre not perfect. That way, we create a more balanced and supportive fandom culture, one that doesnāt punish people for simply acknowledging reality. submitted by /u/Trick_Director7825 [link] [comments]

Itās just me and a few friends who love K-pop and want to help others get started. Hereās the site: https://nextviidance.com Would love to hear what you think ā and happy to answer questions if anyoneās thinking of trying dance for the first time too! submitted by /u/Dear-Possibility-164 [link] [comments]

I solo stan a few idols, but I just realised how stupid it sounds to get genuinely annoyed when my faves don't win awards or my bias gets less lines. Like girl, stop crying over rich people who don't even know you š Yeah, you wish the best for them. But idols aren't idol-ing all the time. Their careers are inferior (probably) to their personal life. So, in reality, me wasting my energy rolling my eyes at a mean tweet is useless and will affect me in the longrun. Sorry, I just want to put this here to ground myself whenever I see a Wonyoung hate comment, whenever Ryujin goes radio silent for months without solo activities, whenever I see Chaewon with her dog... To... Not particularly care because it's not my problem to deal with. Of course, hate is horrible. But you interacting with haters, solo fans and trolls is just useless and pathetic even if it's for a good cause, because you think a dedicated Wonyoung anti is going to change their mind on her by you spamming a billion photos of her? Ye- No. Anyways... This was long š meant to be 2 lines... submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]

Iām looking forward to the new HYBE x GEFFEN girl group, but at the same time, Iām also scared. As the title says, Iām excited to see what direction or genre theyāll take. However, Iām also worried because once this group debuts, they will inevitably be compared to KATSEYE, which could lead to fanwars. In fact, itās already happening. Iāve seen people calling this upcoming group a āreject girl groupā or āback-burner,ā while others claim their management isnāt satisfied with KATSEYE, so they decided to create a new group. The comparisons and fanwars seem inevitable, but neither of these groups deserve that. I just donāt want public forums like Twitter to revolve around them being pitted against each other. I donāt want it to reach the point where, instead of appreciating their music, people are just pitting the two groups against each otherāarguing about who charted first, whoās better, and so on. What Iām hoping, at least to ease the tension, is for this new girl group to have a different direction or genre. Note: I reposted it because I edited the title. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]
I get the kbs are a weapon of self destruction, but it's kind of concerning seeing idols who look normal one day, full of fillers and botox the next. Their faces look so stiff these days I genuinely can't fanthom how they can move their mouths to sing without like... Cracking. Especially if they're so young, my heart breaks for them. I mean, if they're old enough to get this "job", then they should also be aware of what the job will do to their faces when they're in their 50s. But it's sad to know the beauty standards are pushing people to destroy their face so young. Not only with invasive surgery, but with ones that don't make you less or more attractive, just... Stiff and uncanny. My friend recently came back from Korea. We're Russian, but she goes a lot for treatments and always retouches her lips lol She's slightly older than I am, so she's an adult, but it just got me thinking how uncanny her face will look when she inevitably stops the fillers š Anyway, this post isn't targeting any idol in particular, it's just an observation from koreans and korean celebs right now :) submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]

Kinda controversial, but the music from hybe groups have started to sound a bit boring, safe and repetitive. I myself stan a hybe group so I promise I am not a hybe anti, I just wish Hybe would take more risk for their groups' music. I know hybe is capable of taking risk and when they take risk, the song ends up becoming a hit majority of times. They took a risk with Crazy and gnarly and they both are very big hits. Like beautiful stranger by TXT was literally deja vu 2.0. When TXT took a risk with sugar rush ride, a song that even the member's themselves didn't like much, it ended up becoming their biggest hit and brought alot of new fans. But all their releases afterwards did not have that "IT" factor and sounded very generic. submitted by /u/Gloomy-Eye9380 [link] [comments]
