• Rank (up to) your top 50 songs from 2020-2024. #1 gets 50 points, #2 gets 49 points, #3 gets 48 points, etc. • You can list <50 songs if you want. • (If you are using Reddit markdown, please do not number every song as 1, while it will show up as 1-25 publicly, when I retrieve the comment using my automated process, it returns all 1s) . • Any artist whose MVs are posted on /r/kpop are eligible. • Japanese/Chinese/English language songs by Korean artists are eligible. • All K-Genres are eligible. • Both singles and B-sides are eligible for this list. • Proper formatting is #. Artist - Song Name Example of properly formatted comment: Psy - Gangnam Style Girls' Generation - Into The New World f(x) - 4 Walls BTS - I Need U Chungha - Gotta Go For this TTT specifically, you are allowed to "not order/rank" your list. However, you still need to number your list, and you MUST have the correct numbering for your list to be accepted. If your list is even a little incorrect, I reserve the right to disqualify your list. Some examples of how to "not order/rank" your list: If you would like to "not order/rank" all 50, please number them all as 25.5, ex. "25.5. Psy - Gangnam Style" If you would like to rank your Top 10 but not rank the other 40, number your Top 10 from #1-#10, then number the rest as 30.5, ex. "30.5. Psy - Gangnam Style" If you would like to rank your Top 25 but not rank the other 25, number your Top 25 from #1-#25, then number the rest as 38, ex. "38. Psy - Gangnam Style" If you "only" have 25 songs you're voting for and you don't want to order them, please number them all as 13, ex. "13. Psy - Gangnam Style" Schedule: July 22nd: XG & H1-Key July 29th: A.C.E August 5th: U-KISS August 12th: SF9 (Full schedule can be found in the spreadsheet linked below.) So, Golden just got PAK. Most demon hunters songs are real? songs with great lyrics, not empty chorus and shallow instruments. It is irony that after those big groups' comeback,Golden got the crown. Seems like korean gp are also hungry for vocal heavy songs. I don't think idols these days can't sing like people said. Like snsd did, give vocalists 90% of a song and 5sec each for visual and dancer.😹 The quality of the song will go up. submitted by /u/PriorOk7478 [link] [comments]

I just recently found out how insane Baekhyun’s 2016 was, and now I’m curious, are there other idols who had a similar year where they were just undeniably everywhere? Baekhyun in 2016 was on another level: EXO was at their peak, winning multiple daesangs and dominating group promotions. He released “Dream” with Suzy, which was a major hit (not technically a solo, but still a huge song). He made his acting debut in Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. Even though it flopped in Korea, the drama blew up internationally and is still popular among K-drama fans. Basically, if you didn’t like Kpop music, you probably still heard “Dream.” And if you didn’t care about music at all, you might’ve seen him in the drama. One way or another — you couldn’t escape Baekhyun in 2016. So now I’m wondering… What other idols have had a year like this? Where they were dominating music, variety, acting, collabs, everything all in a year? submitted by /u/Personal_Damage6616 [link] [comments]
I’m so tired of seeing the word mistreatment thrown around like candy every time someone’s fave doesn’t get the spotlight 24/7. It feels like some fans are just waiting to be upset over somthing — not enough lines, no center time, didn't get a nice outfit, fewer solo schedules than another member? Boom. “My poor mistreated baby 😭” Look, I get it. Wanting your bias to shine is normal. But not every minor thing is some evil scheme by the company or some deep personal attack. Sometimes there are practical reasons like the line distribution depending on the song or screen time depending on editing. Also, not every member needs solo schedules every week. And let’s be real — a lot of these so-called “mistreated” idols are doing just fine. They’re in luxury brand deals, they’re active, healthy, booked, on stage, and earning more in a month than most of us will in a year. Meanwhile, their fans are online screaming abuse because their fave had 5 seconds less screentime than usual. What makes it worse is that this constant overeacting drowns out the real cases of actual mistreatment in the industry. I’m talking about idols who’ve been forced to perform while seriously injured or idols locked into exploitative contracts with no control over their income or career (groups like everglow recently revealing they’ve made zero income since debut despite years of work comes to mind). When everything is labeled mistreatment, the word loses all meaning. I wish fans would take a step back and realize that this “oppression” mindset isn’t helping their idols — if anything, it makes the fandom look immature and delusional. At this point, it’s like some fans are building a whole victim narrative out of thin air just to justify being angry on their fave’s behalf. Not every little thing is a targeted attack. Sometimes, it’s just how the comeback or promo cycle played out. Where do you personally draw the line between fair criticism and overreaction? Have you ever seen a fandom blow something way out of proportion? I'd love to know your thoughts. submitted by /u/ResponsibleUsual7536 [link] [comments]
Recently Pledis has taken down all of my Miniteen fan art 3D animations from almost all social media platforms due to copyright so I was just wondering if they have done the same for any other fanart that I’m not aware of 😅 It’s a bummer and I’ve already learned my lesson to not remake and post copyrighted designs but can’t help but still have lingering questions out of curiosity haha submitted by /u/cc_shushushu [link] [comments]

I’ve been an exo fan and especially a kyungsoo bias for over a decade now and seeing the way his rollout for his first solo album has been abysmal. Blossom was good and did really well and showed us a new side of him, it doesn’t mean his new album was bad just that it could’ve been better. I’m still streaming it because a lot of the songs are good (fit, sing along, il be there etc) This isn’t a hate post, just highlighting what most fans that actually care about him have been feeling. To begin with, the marketing for the album is not it. Kyungsoo has finally left sm almost 2 years ago (thank goodness) and his solo endeavors is all controlled by his own company he co founded. That means all promo is under his own team and so far they’ve been horrendous. No social media presence, no solo stages, not even big variety show appearances. Just a radio show and small variety appearance. Kyungsoo has never been the type to go to music shows or do social media but at least before his team used to do that for him and put him in gigs that actually helped shine his talent and music to the gp and bring new fans. Now we have almost nothing which is crazy for his first solo album. Next is the solo album itself has been lack luster, the entire length of the record is less than 30 minutes and most songs feel unfinished from how short they are. It feels like he picked the safest demos and added his own twist to it. I’m not gonna be one of those fans that think him going RNB will solve it but my god he has to leave that comfort zone because a lot of the songs feel like they could’ve been in blossom. I wish he will work with good producers (not Zico ugh) who will give him songs that help show a different side of him. The cover art itself is bland and shocking seeing especially since the concept art was so good. It just bliss written with an ugly piss yellow font. Lastly the release date is so close to his concert so it gives barely any time for fans to digest the songs or a proper album rollout. In kpop there is at least 2 weeks of promotions but due to the date being so close to his concerts it’s just not possible. He’s an amazing artist and him being in exo showed us he can basically do everything but he’s stuck doing farmer music for his solo work which isn’t bad but gets tiring because his best body of work so far has been undeniably his second mini album which showed us a side we didn’t see before and all the songs are amazing but still feel like him. submitted by /u/LimpRelationship7323 [link] [comments]
this is probably an unpopular opinion and uneducated take but it always feels weird seeing members of active groups join survival shows to be part of a new group (unless they’re already on the verge of falling apart). to me it’s like they’re saying“my current group isn’t good enough” “i’m unhappy with my co-members / coworkers”and in all fairness, who wouldn’t try to advance their career? so i don’t think it’s wrong of a kpop idol to take time off from their current group schedule but it just feels.. strange? maybe some idols do this just to promote themselves / their current group on television whether or not they make it to the final lineup, however i see a few contestants in relatively new groups competing in survival shows when their contracts are still active. maybe ‘disloyalty’ is a bit of a strong word but i don’t know what the motive is. how do you compete in a survival show trying to leave your current group thinking you’re too good for it, just to fail and return? submitted by /u/seigfried0401 [link] [comments]
