Singing isn't more important than dancing is

I don't think vocals are as important as dancing. Tbh I don't get why it is a unpopular opinion, but you don't need to sing when becoming an idol. If you can't sing you can become a "rapper" or just get like 2 lines per song. Even those who can sing rarely do it live, that brings me to my statement: You can always fake singing, you can't fake dancing. Idols are mostly performers, they need to dance and act every stage, and they got multiple of them when releasing the song. At the end of the year awards shows are also about performing, not singing. The award for best vocal performance last year went to idle, who are not even that great of a vocalists. Idk why idols are pushing this "I am a singer" narrative when half of the industry can't sing or sings below average. I really liked when the8 said on that one show (that name I can't remember) you're an idol, and they may not be a part for you to sing, so you need to be able to dance submitted by /u/sacragho [link] [comments]

this includes soloists! for me, i really wanna see a full rock solo from ryujin! "run away" from the born to be EP seemed to slightly dip into that niche, but it was very pop-y. i'd love to see her go all out similar to chanyeol in his song "back again" because as a fan of both i think they have similar vibes! submitted by /u/chaewon2001 [link] [comments]

“The show was the first of two nights at Wembley Stadium, wrapping up the European leg of the band's Deadline tour, which will see them play 31 dates in 16 cities worldwide. The trek began in Seoul last month, shrewdly accompanied by a new single, Jump - which set a new milestone on YouTube for the most-watched video in a single day, with 26 million views.” “By the end of the run, the band are expected to break their own record for the highest-grossing tour by a female group. They previously snatched that title from the Spice Girls, during their 2022-2023 Born Pink world tour.” https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c36jz730114o.amp submitted by /u/HILife80896782 [link] [comments]

249. what should my opinion on bts’s recent sponsorships be?

  • 2 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

im so confused. on one side ppl are just as loving, enthusiastic, enjoying, and stuff, while on the other side theres sm hate (which i feel is justified…?) for tae’s most recent coca cola sponsorship. i have been a hardcore army with tae as my bias since like 2018, sort of lost touch recently due to skl, and now coming back, ppl have so many differing, controversial, positive yet negative opinions and ppl pointing out the fact that theyve changed a lot recently and theyre not using their fame right and like IM SO CONFUSED. am i stanning the right ppl? am i delving too deep in smth that doesnt matter? but isnt coca cola nonetheless a company with poor intentions/actions? am i thinking wrong here? bc i truly am still an army and im not sure how to be feeling lately considering that im not supportive of mcdonalds or starbucks either and… the hate and speculations are seriously swaying my mind to sm directions. idk whats going on. ps. yeah ik im late to this but still like am i doing smth wrong 🤧 submitted by /u/hazyyveil [link] [comments]

251. Idols aren't parents or responsible for you

  • 2 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

The responsibility for what one does or doesn't do falls on each person and their immediate surroundings. No one should hold an artist responsible for the personal decisions of their fans. Although the exposure and impact they have means that, even if they don't want to, they end up influencing you. However, it's YOUR responsibility to admire what inspires you about these idols (talent, discipline, authenticity) without normalizing the harmful aspects of their behavior. You can't go around saying "ABC idol has a bad influence on their fans," when most are adults, and if they're younger, they're also old enough to know what's right and wrong and can distance themselves from the group or idol in question if necessary. submitted by /u/Someonehihi [link] [comments]

254. singing in a second language does not impact vocal ability

  • 2 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

not to single out shuhua, but many people use the excuse that her singing is worse in korean because it is her second language. actual statistics are not even needed; there are so many idols who do not speak english that released entirely english songs, and in no world did speaking a second language negatively impact how they sang. people should just learn to accept that some idols are just not good singers (naturally or with training) and have other strengths submitted by /u/Jumpy_Site4831 [link] [comments]

I'm always curious to know which idol has the most popularity for each groups. Also, I really love when my bia isn't actually the most popular member of the group. Usually I tend to check by number of followers on insta, but I don't know if this is really accurate. Anyway if you could name one per group, who is the most popular for each of these groups : SNSD Wonder Girls AOA Tara Brown Eyed Girls Blackpink Twice Red Velvet Gidle Itzy Aespa -Babymonster Le Sserafim Billie Or any other groups you enjoy. submitted by /u/Cestlavieenrose999 [link] [comments]

258. Does Spotify has something against BTS' members??

  • 2 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

If you want to know about the Spotify Wrapped mess in 2022, here's the thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/bangtan/comments/zaash4/221202_jungkook_was_the_most_streamed_kpop/ This is about an incident that happened in 2022 when Jungkook was announced as the most streamed K-pop soloist in Spotify Wrapped, and hours later, they removed "Left & Right," a song he was featured in, from counting for his total streams, making another K-pop soloist the most streamed. The thing is, Jk and the other members were the only ones affected by this, and this wasn’t an error because if it were, more artists would be affected. If this rule were applied to every artist, j-hope would be the most streamed K-pop soloist, but he wasn’t. Then ARMYs called them out for being unfair, and they changed it again to Jk being the most streamed. It’s weird that they targeted only BTS members. Knowing the information above, Spotify's monthly stream deletion targeting mainly BTS members makes more sense to me. Both incidents happened without proper transparency, and it seems Spotify picks and chooses which artists will be affected by those "rules." From what we already know, they aren’t removing streams based on bots and cheating because there's no correlation between unfiltered and deleted streams. A K-pop group had over 10M+ unfiltered streams in July from a song, and none of it was removed. If they wanted to prevent cheating, they would just change their daily filtering system. What are your thoughts on this? Sorry if I sound like a conspiracist, but I find this whole situation weird. submitted by /u/Jumpy-Sign-7551 [link] [comments]
