As someone who has been supporting the &team project since ILand ended I am beyond proud of all of the members of &team. They are highly underrated in the kpop and jpop space even though they have only ever dropped bangers. Back to Life is their KR debut and they absolutely killed it. I’m hoping this is their album that launches them into superstardom and solidifies them as a top group in 5th gen. I hate that even with them being popular and being around for 3 years we have yet to get a world tour. I hope this album does well so Lune around the world can get to see &team live! I thought, especially being an American group, they would have to be exceptionally good to debut. I mean other western bands, such as Destiny's child, had a lot to show for themselves vocally, but Katseye is all dancers. None of them can sing. submitted by /u/mntgi [link] [comments]

Honestly just like 70% of the public..I got to know about them when Cupid went viral...then the messy lawsuit..after that I kind of forgot about them...but its been a while I am listening to their song..and I feel like they are quite good...their concepts are pretty interesting...they have an upcoming fan meet later this year...Are they popular among the gp in Korea? submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]

I feel like casual listeners and fans of Korean music alike have become so hostile towards experimental sounds. This realisation came to when I saw the majority reactions to O.O on its release, and recently with GNARLY and SPAGHETTI. These are songs from mega corporate groups with insane marketing and budget, so to see people so unfiltered in their disdain goes to show how you can't please everyone regardless of how popular you are. On the other hand, I'm a shameless defender of just plain awful songs. Actually, I don't even think most "bad" songs are bad... they're CAMP!!! People hate fun, people hate new, people hate bold and brash, people hate anything that strays from societal norms, but I LOVE IT. I do have my limits though, I don't listen to a lot of mainstream music, mainly noisy boy groups, aespa, allnight assignment, and anything produced by teddy. Eh, I just think they're privileged enough and I just don't vibe with that kind of genre. I don't have a basis for what I consider "bad", but I'm just going off of what I saw from the general public talking about them. Here's a non-exhaustive list of CAMP songs, some non-kpop, that I love: - YOUNG POSSE's title tracks (hate most of their bsides sorry) - f5ve - Lettuce - IZ*ONE's Japanese releases - 2NE1 - CRUSH, CAN'T NOBODY - Red Velvet - Rookie - LOONA - Yum-Yum - XG - MASCARA (hated it at first, but it grew on me) - TWICE - SIGNAM - EPEX - Anthem of Teen Spirit, FULL METAL JACKET - Does Honey or Spice by LIGHTSUM count? - Kim Kardashian - Jam - miss A - Breathe - Billlie - RING X RING, RING ma Bell, DANG! - ITZY - CAKE - Anything MOMOLAND - WJSN - Catch Me - KiiiKiii - BTG Also, I'm a Kep1ian so anything yall hate i probably have more streams than the population of vatacan city on them. submitted by /u/cheaminh [link] [comments]

My submissions are N/S by Straykids, Sticker by NCT127 and Ring Ding Dong by SHINee. I still love the songs, I just won't believe they weren't made purely to be meme songs lol submitted by /u/DaGayEnby [link] [comments]

Hello all! I am in a bit of an unusual position of being rather face blind. Like if my best friend dyes their hair and I see them there's an 80% chance I don't recognize them. If a character in a movie puts on a wig that is a whole new person for me. I literally can not tell people apart from their facial features what so ever even people super close to me like family. This is probably why kpop took me so long to get into. The main ways I tell people apart in my day to day life are hair, height, and general style. As many of you might realize those don't work great in Kpop where a lot of people are similar heights to their group members, change their hair on what can feel like a daily basis and styles are based on the comeback they're actively promoting. For those wondering how I tell people apart in my groups. It varies a lot. I recognize Hyunjin from stray kids for example by the general way he moves if that makes sense. He was actually the first person I was able to consistently pick out without hearing them talk. (Voices being the other main way I recognize people). There's something in the way he walks that's different from the others. Some like hoshi from seventeen it's like I know their general shap if that makes sense. I struggled with Keon Hee from oneus for a long time but then I saw a comment on a dance relay saying he was 80% legs and now I can recognize him from his leg to torso ratio. You get the idea. I was just curious if any one else here was face blind and if it made it harder to get into kpop. Maybe we can commiserate together about not recognizing your bias for a solid five minutes because he shaved his head. I'm also open to any questions people might have able face blindness and how it relates to kpop. I got diagnosed with it about three years ago now, but obviously I've had it all my life so I don't mind talking about it submitted by /u/Proud-Ad6862 [link] [comments]
idk why i can’t attach a photo but there has been multiple protest trucks sent to be situated in front hybe’s building due to recent tiktok award show where james didn’t speak when they won an award. the protest truck is planned by his china bar. i went on twitter and saw a lot of people hating on what they did with mentions of the c-bar being a toxic solo stan but idk what they mean bc the truck is sent for the company and not to provoke hate for the other members. what do you guys think TT ik i will get downvoted but i’ve been watching cortis content and james looks rather gloomy these days. he was also cut off constantly in the cultwo show so i get where the protests are coming from. submitted by /u/m1emilk3rs [link] [comments]
like the title suggests it could be someone who has retired or stopped releasing music. or someone who caught the acting bug and aren’t really active in the music industry anymore. or hasn’t had an official solo debut yet? personally, i love LeeHi’s discography. it’s been 4 years since her last album (4Only). while i appreciate the singles and osts, i’m in desperate need of a new album from her 🥲 submitted by /u/JinnieP [link] [comments]
