What do y'all think will happen when they finally meet (if they haven't already)? She's listed him as role model and her ultimate bias, shown her Jimin poster a lot and also sings his songs. She's on the same label and KATSEYE is about to surpass BTS monthly listeners on Spotify. I think they're going to at the very least collaborate...and possibly date. But most of you don't want to hear that or even think it's possible when it is VERY possible, so I'll probably get ripped a new one on here. Was just curious anyone else's opinion! submitted by /u/Invisible_Rain11 [link] [comments]

12. ITZY renews contracts with JYP !all 5 members stay together! 🔥

Big news for MIDZYs and K-pop fans — ITZY has officially renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment, and the best part? All five members (Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna) are staying together! 💖 Here’s the breakdown: The announcement came on Sept 20, 2025 at their 4th fan meeting “ON AIR”. JYP confirmed the renewal, citing “mutual trust” and promising full support for both group and individual activities. ITZY’s contracts were due to expire early next year (7-year mark), but they renewed early — avoiding uncertainty. At the fan meeting, members said “seven years felt too short”, showing their intent to continue as a team. All-member renewals are extremely rare in K-pop (fewer than 2% of groups achieve it). ITZY joins that elite list. Analysts say this move isn’t just loyalty — it’s also a smart strategy to maintain global growth and expand into solo/units. 💿 Their most recent EP Girls Will Be Girls (June 2025) already pushed their sound forward, and with the renewal, it looks like JYP has big plans ahead. What's your views fellows! will ITZY’s next era be their strongest yet? 👑 submitted by /u/watcher_of_fittest [link] [comments]

22. Need More recs from songs that are underrated

Last night me and my newly recruited army best-friend listened to other K-pop groups and we started by watching this two videos on youtube to get a hang of what might be our favorite groups outside bts.I have been a casual listener to other groups but we just added a few more to check out. The videos are about the most watched mvs per year split into boys and girl groups and we just wrote what caught our attention(I’ll tag them on the comment section). Takeaways not here; we really love I-dles concepts. Please excuse the butchering of song titles , we had a few seconds to write them down.We are taking more recs please. Also note that bts and blackpink are not here coz we have already listened to alot of their songs. submitted by /u/Kapsybree [link] [comments]

23. Why is it common for kpop idols to release EPs and mixtapes...but not common in western pop....

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Taylor Swift released TTPD last year, which had 31 tracks, and is all set to release The Life of a show girl with 12 fucking tracks...Also Sabrina released a banger Short n Sweet last summer everybody argued if she would continues with the SnS era or she would strike while the iron is hot. She could have release a mimi album if it was only for momentum....but she released a full album again with 12 tracks.Although Man's best friend is aesthetically very SnS....but you ought to agree its sonically very different from SnS ...So do you think EPs or mini album is not really a thing in western pop culture? submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]

1) can someone explain to me why people hate wonyoung sm???? I mean I get it her aegyo is cringe but did she do something else???? I don't get why people call her pick me or wannabe 2) I hate single stans sm, but there are two types of them as far I've noticed : A) ones who only know one member , choose to ignore the whole groups discography , can we really call them stans?? B) hear the groups discography ( most of) , know all members but CHOOSE to glaze one member and try to show his superiority above other members . These people don't even care about talent tbh . 3) i dislike when people don't understand what " problematic " means. They call illit a problematic group when they haven't even done anything problematic . Same with many idols . Ni-ki got hate for no reason. People directly assume problematic means they have done something bad or negative when it's really the fans submitted by /u/yejioooo [link] [comments]
