So I recently been discovering groups that aren’t considered mainstream or from the big 4 companies. LET ME JUST SAY ITS HONESTLY A CHEAT CODE TO GET THE DREAM KPOP FAN EXPERIENCE ON A BUDGET! My experience going to a seventeen concert was a bit overwhelming. There were long lines and you have to arrive hours just to even get a chance at merch and that’s not guaranteed you’ll get anything. Not to mention the cost of the ticket and merch literally is months of my paycheck just for a basic seat not including the few shirts I got. Everybody was rushing which means you yourself have to move fast. And the chaos around me worn me out. I loved the concert but the process of it all was draining for me. But I recently started stanning Oneus and went to their concert AND I GOT MY MONEYS WORTH! Not only I got a seat really close to the stage (well auditorium) but I was also able to afford the highest vip tier which included so much stuff (signed merch from all members, 1-on-1 photos, group photo of just me and the members, high touch, a lanyard, and merch line priority). All of this was less then my seventeen ticket. Not to mention because they had a smaller audience the members themselves walked down the aisle and were dancing with the fans(2 members were right beside me)! Their energy and hearing them live so close was such a surreal experience I thought I never truly get to experience such a concert since I used to only really listen to bts and seventeen. And did I mention the merch being affordable and available is a bonus?! I don’t have to stress fighting with people over them and not break my bank as badly compared to others. I hope Oneus gain popularity as they really deserve it, but a selfish part of me is loving not having to plan anything ahead. I just went to the counter, bought what I want, and enjoyed my show peacefully. ☺️ I loved it so much that I started looking into other groups and so much hidden gems are being over looked! There are many groups that have amazing artists but are buried under bigger groups due to lack of resource for exposure. I loved so many songs since I don’t really like the trend of mainstream at the moment. Not to mention it brings back the nostalgic memory of scrapping the web for videos with English subtitles and the happiness you feel when they finally upload a video after a while (if you were in 2nd gen kpop you know exactly what I mean 😂) If you are interested I say give it a shot. I think everybody should at least find one none mainstream group and get that Kpop concert experience you always dreamed. submitted by /u/Frosty-Honeydew- [link] [comments]

It's just comedic at this point. I'm not out here defending this huge company because why would I, but I just think it's crazy that people seem to have such a hate boner for hybe that they'll go and blame every controversy ever on this company. Hybe sucks ok, so does sm, so does jyp, so does yg. All these companies have their faults because they're huge companies that at the end of the day only exist for the sole purpose of getting as much profit as they possibly could. Hybe happens to be the biggest and most succesful company out of these right now, but at this point they are also so big that I think people forget that most of the 'decisions' made by hybe are done by the smaller labels under them. Hybe just happens to be the name of the company in one, but there are like dozens of companies under the name that are the ones pulling the strings. Blaming hybe 'the company' for decisions made for a specific group would be like blaming the president of your country for a mistake your local town mayor made. Or even worse because often hybe gets jabs when the controversy doesn't even have anything to do with a hybe artist, which would be like blaming another country's president for a mistake your local town mayor made submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]
I would actually say that the KPOP community would be better if people would just accept the fact that people have different music tastes and it is possible for someone to like everything their faves release. I believe that statement in the title is just you wanting people to acknowledge your statement as a fact and only your preferences are valid which I don’t believe to be true. And I know some of you will look at my user and be like, “Of course a STAY is saying this”, “It makes sense now”. I’m not just saying this as a STAY, I’m saying it in general. There are going to be ppl who love all of TXT songs, ATEEZ, Enhypen, BP, TWICE, BTS, and more, whereas there are a lot of people who don’t. There can be well-liked songs like ‘Ditto’ by NJZ (best song ever btw), but there are a lot of people who don’t like that song just the same. You telling someone that a song sounds bad and they don’t agree, doesn’t mean they’re stupid or theyre brainwashed. “Just because a song charted well doesn’t mean it’s good” — to you. I’m just saying that it would be best if we’d just stop each other for our differences. submitted by /u/skzshyperver [link] [comments]

If you’re a global K-Pop fan, chances are you’ve had this moment: headphones in, music blasting, heart swelling—then your eyes land on the Romanized lyrics. Eoduwojin apgilsoge? Yeongwonhi kkaejil su eomneun? Balkge bitnaneun urin? At first sight, Romanized Korean looks almost alien—English letters twisted into strange combinations that don’t behave the way English does. “Eo,” “eo,” “eu,” “ui”—they appear familiar but sound nothing like what you expect. And yet, millions of fans around the world sing them out loud, fumbling at first, then slowly finding rhythm. Why? Because Romanization is the bridge. It gives us something to hold onto before we dive into Hangul itself. I wrote two articles in a news media how to read romanized Korean words. http://localhost:3001/insight-articles/golden-lyrics-part1.html http://localhost:3001/insight-articles/golden-lyrics-part2.html #how-to-read-romanized-korean #lyrics-golden #kpop-demon-hunters. submitted by /u/Nicklee0345 [link] [comments]

Hello! I'm a writer who loves to understand music but also to enjoy them! I've done some "Rating an Album" blog posts before, and since I missed that stint now, I would love to do it all over again! This is how it works; You may all give me any K-Pop Song, and I will rate it from 1-10, 10 being the highest, and will also give about 2-3 sentences about my impressions about it! Here are some other notes to follow by: I could allow multiple K-Pop songs, but only a maximum of three songs per comment so I won't get overwhelmed; I will put an asterisk to my rating if I know that song already (ex. 8.5/10*) I promise to put the song into a playlist if I rate the song a 9.5 and 10! Have fun, guys! submitted by /u/blucheezecake [link] [comments]
