I love the idea of going to concerts, but I also have a lot of anxiety about attending. This got a lot better after going to my first concert and understanding how it works, but now that I'm going to another the anxiety is creeping back up. I think part of this is due to ADHD hyper fixation as well, and the stress of trying to get merch and waiting in line leading to anxiety, etc. how do you handle it? I look at the merch beforehand and decide what I want to buy and what I don't. But then I get to the concert and suddenly feel like I NEED to get something I originally didn't want. Tldr: ADHD hyperfixation and decision fatigue makes me want to buy merch that I don't really want, leading to lots of stress and concert anxiety. How do you deal with that? submitted by /u/ketenkusu [link] [comments]

Everyone I talk to always says Pristin could have been a huge group. I listened to their discography and I agree. Their songs were amazing. Their music videos were fun and had a lot of views. What happened to them? Was it management? I feel like they should have stuck with the bad management and been huge! submitted by /u/BothFall [link] [comments]
Just curious about this one cause i met a lot of people like this and wanna know what will happen.. What if someone debuts as an IDOL and you gather information about that IDOL and discovered that she edits her pictures in her old account and called herself a CyberDoll ( basically a person who edits their picture) Would you still stan her? Even though you know that she edits her pictures before? submitted by /u/Aera_Cal [link] [comments]

i made a “which idols look better in brunettes” post last week and it made me remember that really pretty honey blonde color a lot of female idols had during 2nd gen . any more examples i’m missing? bleach/bright blonde has ALWAYS been the dominant trend but i feel like somewhere during 3rd gen kpop idols just stopped wearing warmer toned blonde and just went strictly with bright blonde or platinum. are there some 4th/5th gen idols that did wear this color that i’m forgetting? am i nitpicking? lol idols in this post: nana - afterschool bom park - 2ne1 jessica - snsd luna - f(x) hyosung - secret submitted by /u/Academic_Essay5942 [link] [comments]
I’m a casual listener and a fan of ENHYPEN but I’ve noticed a lot of weird things going on with the company lately. I got this notification from Weverse a few minutes ago and this just isn’t right. Sure it’s really nice to talk and share your feelings with your idols but calling it a counseling center is just reinforcing a parasocial relationship where fans can feel like they can mentally and emotionally rely on ENHYPEN. I don’t want to sound offensive but the answer choices are also very boundary pushing. This isn’t normal fan behavior. submitted by /u/Longjumping_Rope2328 [link] [comments]

Blackpink released jump and I think unless you're a obsessed fan, we can all pretty much agree it sucked. Ceremony by stray kids wasn't that good too. I'd say average. Everything seemed very chaotic. Katseye has been doing pretty good recently NGL. Recently aespa released their mv "rich man" and it lowkey sounds very repetitive and bland. submitted by /u/Tiny-Atmosphere2007 [link] [comments]

I am listening to all the singles, EPs and albums by k pop and k-pop adjacent girl groups on a tier list. Including: Original Japanese singles/albums Subunits and solos under the group profile OSTs Not including: Solos and subunits outside the group profile Any covers, remastered versions or remixes First slide will be a ranking of the group, and the second slide will be a ranking in the context of other girl groups. These are just my personal opinions; music is subjective! What I like and how I rank these songs may not line up with your own tastes. I won’t take into account scandals, popularity, or other outside factors. Just the music itself. For X, I listened to the following groups: XG XG is a little different from your average K-pop group, I think they call themselves “X-pop” (?) Overall, they’re a really consistent group. There were a few songs I didn’t vibe with, but none were so bad that I wanted to skip. Shooting Star has always been my favorite from them, and that hasn’t changed. But I also really enjoyed Is This Love, regardless of their amazing Coachella performance, the song hits. XG leans into R&B, and it’s a genre that feels natural for them. It’s also one that’s hard to completely mess up, so it keeps their discography solid overall. Excited to see what they bring for their upcoming album! Top 3: Shooting Star Is This Love Woke Up Bottom 3: Something Ain’t Right X-GENE TGIF I'd like to hear everyone's opinions on this group's music as well! submitted by /u/Armys_blink_once [link] [comments]

One of my biggest gripes with kpop subreddits is when people ask basic questions on certain question subreddits where people ask about stores in their countries like "Are there any safe kpop stores I can order from?" without providing even the most basic details like what country they’re in or whether they’re open to international options. It’s like, if you just gave a little more context like whether you want free shipping over a certain amount or what your budget is people could offer actual, helpful advice. But no, instead we get the same questions over and over because, apparently, the concept of searching doesn’t click for some. In many of the group focused subreddits there are the questions about group members' solo projects, activities or the groups lore. So many posts asking things that are already answered in the sidebars or in easily accessible member profile pages or fandom resource. These threads have been pinned and archived for a reason, but still, people post the same things and refuse to look to the right of the subreddit or acknowledge the search bar. I've even seen posts asking where a active idol went but you could literally search them up on the main subreddit and sort by new and see they had tons of activities recently. It’s not just laziness, either sometimes it feels like the internet savviness doesn't exist anymore. Newer fans especially seem to rely on others to spoon feed them answers instead of taking a minute to dig through the wealth of resources already at their fingertips. Like, how many times do we need to answer "Who’s this idol?" when a reverse image search would solve the problem in a second? Like I get it if they want to get subjective answers and just talk to people about a topic but there's an insane amount of people asking about the same objective questions everyday or ask questions that have been answered before and it would be quicker to make an effort to search for things rather than make a post and wait for someone to maybe answer but nah lemme post another one. Not only does it clog up the subreddit it also makes people leave the community because of the constant barrage of people asking basic questions. Is this like a UI thing like people just miss the search function up top, tech or like website navigation literacy? Do people just not bother to look for hobby wikis, blogs or old forum posts about their interests anymore? Anyways please start using that bar above or a search engine it’s really useful and you don’t really need spam your own thread asking a question to something that has decades of news articles and conversations around it. You can also find a lot of fascinating conversations that were held in the past or blogs that give a snapshot to what fan culture was like. What does everyone else think? Is it not that deep or does everyone else think this is an issue too? submitted by /u/moomoomilky1 [link] [comments]
