And no, I don't think Korea having a drinking culture is an acceptable excuse submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

So who do you think will win rookie of the year at MAMA 2025 ? And the very fact that most of the rookie groups will go empty handed this year as competition is fierce due to merge for male and female category. I feel its between all day project and cortis but 40% is judges score so kickflip , heart2hearts also have chance. Anyway whoever win between all day project and cortis backslash is gonna be there, and the tradition for bighit groups to win ROTY might be broken. P.S - Enhypen and TWS also got ROTY. submitted by /u/Jumpy_Combination_92 [link] [comments]
So usually Kpop concerts in Japan are a lot better in every way compared to other countries that means Korea as well. We already have a in depth explanation for this https://www.reddit.com/r/kpophelp/comments/ux4hbl/why_are_kpop_concerts_in_japan_always_better/ but I want to know if you’ve seen any Kpop American concerts that are on the same level or close to those in Japan wether it be merch, stage sets, sound systems etc submitted by /u/Kind_Acanthisitta600 [link] [comments]
Unfortunately in K-pop, especially in the 5th generation it's getting harder to find idols who could sing live. Now great examples of idols who could sing live would be Girls' Generation, 2ne1, Mamamoo, Aespa, Seventeen, Exo, Btob and more. Mostly live would be Stray kids, Ateez, Stayc, Nmixx, Itzy, Stayc, Dreamcatcher 50/50 would be Twice, Blackpink, Riize, Red velvet, Enhypen, Ive Do not sing live at all would be Everglow i think? Cannot sing live well mostly would be Le sserafim and Illit, Lisa. submitted by /u/tbaeist [link] [comments]

By least-visual I mean the one furthest from fitting the korean beauty standard or the member who's rarely put in the center. Is there a group where this sort of reverse popularity happens? submitted by /u/ImpressiveCourage300 [link] [comments]
It feels like everywhere I look someone is hating on them relentlessly and I understand if their music year hasn't been for you, that's fine but the absolute dogpiling going on right now is just crazy. They have not done anything to warrant the amount of hate they are getting. I thought 2022 aespa had it the worst but 2025 is coming close. It seems like all they need to do is breathe and it will piss someone off . This is not say there is no room for constructive criticism but most people don't even do that but just add to the hate train. It is exhausting just watching it happen, I can't imagine what it must be like to be on the receiving end of it. No one deserves this kind of treatment submitted by /u/Clp_1889 [link] [comments]
I have to say I didn't expect it, but considering SOLAR, it's not surprising either. And I say "apparently" because RBW hasn't made any announcement yet (knowing the company, it's very likely that if the idol hadn't said anything, fans would never have found out. The company has a long history of abandoning its star group). submitted by /u/Mayh_3m [link] [comments]

Excerpt from MyDaily (news): “Love Your W is a campaign launched by W Korea in 2006 to promote the importance of early breast cancer treatment. Cumulative donations of 1.1 billion won have been raised so far this year, which marks its 20th anniversary.” https://m.entertain.naver.com/home/article/117/0003998442 It think allot of people are more so mad about possibly only 40k a year being raised. But if that isnt the case what is the point of this outrage? Taste a good amount of money actually. I think this deserves a post on its own because allot of people will only see this clarification if it has its own post. submitted by /u/BellOk361 [link] [comments]

I'm sorry and I know this is an old topic that has been talked about a lot. but her leaving NMIXX has always been one of the most confusing and curious things to me and I've been thinking about it again after getting back into NMIXX. the fact that she posted about how hard she worked to debut as an idol a few days before she got kicked is like what terrible thing happened where her company ended her contract basically instantly? JYP seems like one of the more "liberal" companies, so if she was dating or something she might have been kicked anyways, but not that quickly, right? she definitely didn't leave because of health reasons or personal reasons since they were all practicing for some award show the day before she was kicked, and that definitely would have just put her on hiatus anyways. she also did nothing illegal because then she wouldn't be active today. what happened submitted by /u/icewitchenjoyer [link] [comments]
