Did anyone else think TWICEâs performance was the weakest one on the show? The vocals were rough, and it really shows how many K-pop groups tend to prioritize visuals and heavy autotune over actual singing. And I donât just mean TWICE this applies to most groups, even BTS. I donât have a favorite group, so this isnât coming from bias. Iâm just speaking as a former K-pop fan who doesnât have rose-colored glasses anymore. On the other hand, Madison Beerâs and Karol Gâs vocals were insanely good they really stood out. TWICE did look beautiful, though. submitted by /u/Decent-Water-7147 [link] [comments]

Let's get all the immediate stuff out of the way right away. Was it the best performance ever? No. Was the singing the best? No. However, the performance was fun and that is the most important thing! It was quite obvious to me they had mic issues, especially poor Tzuyu but they powered through. (Also have to shoutout Nayeon's unreal stage presence) What people don't realize is that TWICE has nine members. That means they had to perform with less than HALF their group. Also, just the four of them had to be quite widely spread out with little moving space. It was all a tough challenge. This is also not including the fact of how busy they are. As a whole, considering all that, I think they did pretty good!! submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

Honestly? Only Jihyo and Nayeon carried. Momoâs presence was definitely there but she couldâve had a better outfit. And Tzuyu? Sorry (not sorry) she didnât sing well, and sheâs obviously nervous. They shouldâve brought Sana, or Chaeyoung, or even Jeongyeon instead. submitted by /u/porkchopk [link] [comments]
Firstly, who knew this was a BREAST CANCER awareness event???? Just researched and found out through the past 20 years... They couldn't even raise a million USD??? Are you joking??? They invite celebs sponsored by LUXURY BRANDS ffs Not only that, but this year you had jay park's dumb ass singing his terrible song that was COMPLETELY inappropriate for the event (literally. Go search the lyrics and you'll get what I mean). The questions reporters ask? Fashion. Not about the BASIS OF THE FREAKING EVENT!!! At least make it pink themed!!! The articles, everything... It skips over the premise and heartbreaking reason this event even "exists". People are dying, and you're telling me the best way to raise awareness is to make a charity event... Without the focus being on the charity...? Just make it a fashion event in the first place. Why are we needing to hide behind a philanthropic shield for no reason đđđ This is a disgusting event and i'm so, so glad it's finally getting called out for it. It's just an excuse for W Korea to have a high profile elite event (or basically a club lmao) As someone who knows so many people in regards to the foundation of this charity, it breaks my heart to see something so important treated so... Uselessly. I'm telling you, not one celebrity there had a single thought besides wanting to look pretty and have fun. And that's fine. You know why? Because that is actually what the event is about, isn't it? Thoughts? submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]
basically title. at a recent fancall, a haobin shipper asked both âwhen was haobinâs first time?" with the choices * Before April 2023 * April - July 2023 * July - December 2023 * After 2024 zhang hao sees the question and goes âfirst time doing what?â â> the fan laughs and says âwhat do you think~â â> then zhang hao laughs awkward, pauses and says âiâm just gonna choose a random oneâ and checks the paper this isnât the first weird q, people have asked about âlast time they kissedâ before and asked other member what they would do if they âwalked inâ on haobin ? and the members never ignore anyone, they always give response, even if itâs random or vague or jokey so i think people take advantage and push for more. like they are waiting for the members to explicit shut them down (i donât see they would ever) before they admit itâs too much but. imagine you are working and someone paid money just to come and ask you a sex joke and post about it. thatâs harassment⊠i know some fancalls are probably healing or fun to idols but i canât believe fans can ask whatever they want and feel comfortable putting idols in situations like this for their own enjoyment. to satisfy a fantasy or invasive curiosity or. like theyâre characters or somethig submitted by /u/Nice-Range4880 [link] [comments]
mine has to be taehyung, y'all are sleeping on his dancing skills fr. he's better than the main dancers of so many groups imo submitted by /u/Additional-Beach8870 [link] [comments]

I am a K-pop stan, which unfortunately is losing its fandom culture due to an influx of new fans joining, and not understanding fandom etiquette as well as demonising anyone that puts any sort of effort or passion into knowing more about their interests. One thing that has been a big problem for me is how people always like to refer to a celebrity crush as a âparasocial relationshipâ which is factually wrong. Yes, having a celebrity crush CAN lead to a parasocial relationship, but the act of being in love with a celebrity isnât inherently bad. What I believe a celebrity crush is; Just like a regular crush, someone who has an emotional attachment but to a celebrity, possibly due to their idol status (wanting to have/be something that they obtain â e.g: be a talented singer or wants similar attributes in their future relationships, such as personality traits, passion for their crafts, how they love their family, etc) or just simply based on the fact that they have a certain look they are attracted to, such as someone who is into men with long blonde hair and blue eyes might be inclined to have a crush on Brad Pitt because he fits the description. A parasocial relationship is when someone believes that they are âdatingâ a said celebrity, and would go out of their way to try to be close to them, despite the celebrity in question having nothing to do with them, nor knowing them personally. This is typically a psychological thing and if it gets to that point, then therapists and psychologists can interfere and help them before it goes out of hand. While both of them do include a one-sided relationship with a celebrity that doesnât know them, they are NOT the same. A lot of people probably assumed someone with a celebrity crush is in a parasocial relationship because in the K-pop fandom, a lot of fans like to pretend that they are actually in a relationship with them when they are aware that they will never be able to reach to them, and a lot of fans play into it that it would be our biggest inside joke within K-pop spaces online and in-person events. That is why whenever people call them their âboyfriend/girlfriendâ and wanting to âmarry themâ, most of the time theyâre not being serious and just having fun for the sake of it. While I can understand this confusion can cause people to assume, a lot of the reasons why people like to call anyone who just have celebrity crushes âparasocialâ could either be due to the fact that others believe âcringe cultureâ shouldnât exist (as this is typically seen as a childish or outdated tween/teen-based thing to do) as well as the other main point being misogyny in women/female-based interests. Whenever you hear about football fans going to matches, collecting match attax trading cards, wearing a football shirt, cheering at matches, and throwing temper tantrums when their team loses, nobody bats an eye. But god forbid K-pop fans attend concerts, wear cute clothes, have picket fans with their biasâ names and faces on it and cheering for their favourite group is considered âparasocialâ is absurd. In my opinion, celebrity crushes should be normalised and not be confused with a parasocial relationship.Especially considering the fact that having celebrity crushes really helped me through school where I was able to experience emotions for the first time without having to worry about getting in trouble or get made fun of, as that was what happened when I had crushes on people at school, which closed me off from so many milestones I missed as a teenager and now Iâm living it as someone in my 20s. I donât believe I will ever date, nor meet them in person, but my emotions are real, and Iâm happy that Iâm able to feel them. Yes, some celebrities may not be what you think they are in real life, but thatâs not an excuse to harass anyone and make fun of them just for simply having a crush. If they are truly a bad person, then theyâll break away from them. A parasocial person wonât. Full stop. submitted by /u/AsianMoot3317 [link] [comments]

It would be so amazing to have groups react to other groups' comebacks, at least within a company. Imagine Twice and Itzy reacting to Nmixx's Blue Valentine. submitted by /u/williamtkelley [link] [comments]
https://spotify.link/k81eSiXLuXb Hi lovely kpop community~ After a month of listening, evaluating and reevaluating â Iâm finally at a place where iâm ready to share my playlist! I listened to literally every single suggestion from an earlier help thread i posted, plus a TON more from my own exploration, and the result is 22+ hrs of title tracks (almost 400 songs), sorted by artist. Thank you for your wonderful suggestions! I had a ton of fun doing this and discovered so many amazing songs. Have a scroll and see which songs i added from your faves! I recommend listening on shuffle đ Here was my criteria: Male groups (no mixed gender or GGs; female fts are OK) Idol pop group (not a band or hiphop group) No soloists or units (with the exception of NCT) Korean (with the exception of WayV) Song was promoted as a single or lead single (referenced on the groupâs wikipedia page) Not restricted by genre - youâll find a wide range from bubblegum to ballad to EDM. What makes a song âthe bestâ, you ask? To put it simply, if it left a strong impression on me after listening. I didnât choose all of the most âiconicâ songs (tho there are plenty of those as well), nor are the amount of songs necessarily indicative of how i feel about the group. My goal was that any person could pick out any single song from the playlist and easily understand why it was added, even if it doesnât match their personal taste. I picked songs that impressed me for some combination of uniqueness, memorability, outstanding melodies, production, vocals, rapping, etc. I also listened to every song on the playlist multiple times to make sure iâd stand by it. DISCLAIMER: I did not listen to every single title track out there. But I listened to at least a few from as many artists as I could (way more for popular artists), and if i liked what i heard, i explored further. I will continue to update the playlist as i listen to even more songs. Also, please do not argue with me about why certain songs are/arenât on there. Remember that every song has been filtered through my personal preference. I encourage you to download the playlist and add/remove songs as you please. Must-listen to artists! For older fans wanting to try out some newer stuff, try: Ciipher, Nowz, All(h)ours, Xikers, Omega X, EPEX. Iâm not much into the newer groups, but these are the ones that piqued my interest! For newer fans wanting to familiarize yourself with some high quality classics aside from the obvious ones, i highly recommend: TVXQ, C-Clown, History, Beast, B1A4, Teen Top. I worked so hard on this, so i would love if you would AMA and I will reply to everyoneđ hot takes, my faves, my process, songs that almost made it, recommendations, etc! submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]
