Here's a little bit of venting from me: I'm from northern Spain, a country that's just starting to have K-pop concerts... but they don't reach my area. In fact, nothing reaches my area. Real stores with K-pop merch are few and far between, and they only carry albums and some Funkos/other merch (not lightsticks, which have to be ordered online and are incredibly expensive). Here, K-pop is still seen as something "weird," and we're still a minority. It's a shame not to have the opportunities that people who live in capital cities or areas targeted by companies have. Seeing people from my country meeting their idols when I know I'll never have that opportunity... ouch. Of course I don't blame anyone, I'm glad that there are fans with opportunities and the idols dont have any blame here. I'm just letting off steam. submitted by /u/_issio [link] [comments]

As a K-pop fan from northwest Spain, I can say it's a drag. There are hardly any concerts, the merch doesn't reach physical stores (and if it does, it's only in a few), and everything has to be ordered online... I wanted to buy a lightstick, but the thought of spending almost 100 euros on a lightstick I'll probably never use stopped me. Obviously I'm not blaming anyone here, this is because companies go to capitals/key areas with a lot of fandom, but I just wanted to vent. submitted by /u/_issio [link] [comments]

Does anyone have more information regarding the Hybe x Geffen audition? Iāve been looking online and people are saying the online Japan audition is only for Japanese girls. But other sources are saying anyone can audition. Iām cautious as the form says you cannot submit duplicate auditions, therefore cannot audition in person AND then online. Do I wait until they come to the UK? Will they even come to the UK? Will there be online auditions for each country or if not, should I apply for the japan one? People are saying that those who applied for the Japan one get automatically rejected if theyāre not Japanese. submitted by /u/AdorxLacey [link] [comments]
so i just finished watching txt's "the star chapter: together" concept trailer for like the 10th time (watch here if you still haven't watched!) and i'm still catching new details everywhere. like the fact that beomgyu heals kai and then the side where the winds were healed have spikes in between the feathers, just like beomgyu has, the way they embedded stars into literally every costume piece (even tiny details on the jewelry), how the teddy bear gets passed between yeonjun, taehyun, and soobin representing their shared journey through the lore... but what really gets me is how thoughtfully everything connects to their star seekers universe while showing their growth. the swimming pool being a literal portal to their magical world?? the way soobin becomes the "burning home" they're trying to save, and how yeonjun removes the flower/burden from taehyun so he doesn't have to carry it alone?? the emotional storytelling is insane and the ending feels even more poignant after soobin's hiatus the production value genuinely looks like a short film and every single frame has intentional details that reward you for paying close attention. it's the kind of artistic storytelling that makes me wish more people took time to really analyze kpop visual content instead of just watching once and moving on. which got me thinking about other groups and their visual artistry... because there are SO many groups doing incredible visual storytelling that often gets overlooked! like there's so much amazing artistry going into kpop visual content and i feel like we don't talk about it enough?? so i want to hear about your favorites! whether it's: lore connections that blew your mind costume/styling details that were chef's kiss set design that made you pause the video color symbolism that hit different props that had deeper meaning choreography that told a story or just any visual moment that made you go "wait how did they think of that" i know not every group does elaborate concept videos like some do, but honestly even "simple" mvs often have incredible attention to detail that deserves more appreciation! drop your favorites below! i want to discover more groups that put this level of care into their visual concepts, and honestly i just love hearing people get excited about the artistic choices their faves make (bonus points if you include timestamps or specific moments because i will 100% go watch them and get sucked into a rabbit hole of new content lmao) what visual details from your faves do you think deserve more recognition?? submitted by /u/jujubadetrigo [link] [comments]

I'm honestly getting tired of how desensitized this fandom has become to invasive, dangerous behavior, especially when it comes to sasaengs. Just hours ago, there was a post warning sasaengs to stop targeting Jungkook and Jimin. Today, ENHYPEN's official Weverse account had to drop a legal notice because the same thing is happening to them. š BTS-related post (June 29): Notice on Violation of Artist Rights ā Jungkook & Jimin (Weverse) š ENHYPEN-related post (June 30): Legal Notice Regarding Privacy Invasion ā ENHYPEN (Weverse) This isnāt just āobsessive fan behaviorā, this is stalking. Itās criminal. And the fact that it's happening so frequently that companies have to publish statements every other day should scare everyone. Itās no longer isolated. Itās systematic. People love to throw around the word āfan,ā but what kind of fan invades someoneās privacy, leaks their travel details, or waits outside their homes and hotels? Letās be real: these are not fans. These are people who treat idols like property, not people. Even worse? Thereās a whole ecosystem feeding this. Fansites buying and selling flight info, Telegram and Twitter accounts leaking private schedules, people reposting sasaeng photos and videos with āomg heās so cute š„ŗā as if they didnāt come from a complete violation of privacy. What makes this even more disturbing is how quickly the discourse disappears. One minute people are mad, the next itās back to fancams and edits like nothing happened. This cycle of outrage followed by silence is part of the problem. If we donāt hold each other accountable, especially in fandom spaces, then weāre enabling it. This isnāt ādrama.ā This is a real safety issue. The idols we claim to love are being followed, filmed, and harassed daily. If you're consuming sasaeng content, turning a blind eye, or staying quiet because it's ānot your group,ā you're complicit. Itās time to stop romanticizing toxic behavior, stop excusing it, and start defending idolsā right to live like human beings. Before someone gets seriously hurt, or worse. submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]
slow day on here so lets play a little gams. list all your favorite and least favorite genres, and everyone else has to guess your ult group(s) based purely on that. you can list as many as you want but try not to be vague! submitted by /u/RemarkableList4202 [link] [comments]
He just suddenly jumped over a barricade and went running around the whole stadium and when he reach the other end the guard was like " you're not allowed" š I mean even i wouldn't expect the artist to do this ,he ran so fast most stays didn't even see him until he stopped at the endš He has been going wild the last few concerts in America, it's over now it's europe (finally) submitted by /u/3rcha [link] [comments]
I didnāt have the opportunity to go to the concert, but I was so happy for the exo-ls who did it. Many of us have been waiting since EXO debut for the group or one of them come to Brazil, and we finally had the pleasure of having Baekhyun here. We were even given the nickname ābrotinho š±ā which means ālittle sproutā (so cute š„¹). Everything was amazing. He felt welcomed, loved, and had a lot of fun. To all the EXOLs going to the tour, please sing Baekhyunās songs really loud and make him feel how loved he is, not just in Korea, but all around the world š submitted by /u/IcyJudgment8897 [link] [comments]
How many times have we not seen these discussions where fans start saying things like I don't understand why ABC is not as recognized as XYZ, if they clearly deserve it more because they have better voices, dances, etc. Because it's about the music my friend, look, if I like a song I'm going to add it to my playlist, I don't care if that group really doesn't know how to sing, dance or write, etc. Anyway, I have no intention of paying to see them live, as long as something sounds good in my player, I'm going to listen to it. Many of these groups that people say "don't deserve the fame they have" have very good music, that's why people consume it, and I think that is what many do not want to understand. submitted by /u/Someonehihi [link] [comments]
Once I was having a very thought day so I cried like 2 hours if my shift and then I started to sing girlfriend by I-dle and stopped crying. submitted by /u/huskypuppies2 [link] [comments]
Pick two of your ults (from different groups), give one specific similarity and one difference between them and everyone else has to guess who it is.The clues should be somewhat specific but still vague enough to keep it interesting not something like they're both vocalists or something of that sort. submitted by /u/RemarkableList4202 [link] [comments]
Kind of a curious thought I had recently since I remember for the first time seeing Baekhyun sing along to a bunch of Bigbang songs and also learned that ningning attended bigbangs concert in the past. Also hearing that Seunghan takes inspiration from Taeyang. The two companies have been known for a long time to have contrasting concepts with each other so hearing those things was a bit of a surprise for me. So I was wondering if the true is the other way around, if there are any YG idols or artists who are a fan of any SM idols or groups. Because from what I can tell they all just say they all like other YG groups. As a bigbang fan I think they said a looong time ago that they (as a group) took inspiration off of Shinhwa but that's a very foggy memory and I can't verify if that's true. submitted by /u/Rex0680 [link] [comments]

(Not here to talk about the candy wrapper controversy. I know it's a big topic regarding this debut but I wanna hear what people think about the debut in itself.) My thoughts: I personally love both songs. I think it's the kind of teenage concept I've been looking for recently. It's rebellious, it's a little angsty, but it's also very self-loving and confident. A lot of teenage concepts in kpop are very cutesy, not that that's an issue, but I really prefer this. Overall, I love the songs and the MVs. I'm a big Soyeon fan as well and they definitely have her style of writing which I enjoy very much. Safe to say I feel very pleased with the debut. I've been listening to both F Girl and Bet You'll Regret It a lot. Also sidenote: I love Beni's voice and lines sm. She is also only a few days older than me and I think that's cool :) Bias acquired. I just wanna hear what other people feel about the songs, mvs and members of BDC since most of the discussion about them is in regards to the controversy. I feel like it's targeted more towards younger people and older kpop fans might not be into it that much. I know this might seem like I'm being overly positive or "glazing" but I genuinely just love them a lot. Tell me what you think :D submitted by /u/EnniPumpkin [link] [comments]
