(Link: https://youtu.be/fOZg3OC-WUE) For one, if you've never seen this video: not sorry lmao it kills me so bad. My favorite part is that it seems the korean internet has found it, and i can't stop looking for their comments in the comments section because they think it's funny too. If you need a laugh, go in there and hit the translate button. But I'm also curious because this sound seems to be older kpop, which I'm not familiar with enough to appreciate the mashup as much? The comments are saying it's so 2nd gen/2010s kpop, which makes sense. Aside from surprise Lisa rap, can anyone identify what specific inspirations this song pulls from, and also in the words from the comments, if this would bring Kurt Cobain back to life submitted by /u/SomeRaceHorseName [link] [comments]
These days, it seems like groups are always trying things that are more mature, darker, or experimental. And I don't know about you, but I really miss that super kawaii concept of girl groups from 2009–2012 — those cute songs, funny choreographies, colorful clothes... there was something magical about that vibe that made me smile every time I watched it. We hardly see that anymore today, and I really love that kind of concept. And you? Do you also miss that time or do you think current concepts are better? Are there any old concepts you would like to see return? submitted by /u/Fun-Diver-6166 [link] [comments]

Obviously this whole W korea breast cancer awareness (or should i say party) is currently going viral. Knowing that this event is going on for 20 YEARS and they only made a total of 700k even tho they keep inviting millionaire every year is honestly sad. You can't defend your favourites on this, all of the big groups have attended this event within the last 20 years. submitted by /u/Injeolmie_04 [link] [comments]
Imagine if they actually said something about the cause they were supposedly going to this event for... submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
People on here are literally defending idols showing up to a breast cancer awareness event and not even caring enough to say a single sentence on the matter to spread awareness. Idols literally gave speeches at this event and did not even bring up breast cancer awareness once. Yet people are defending them saying it isn't that deep or just a party or that nobody got hurt which somehow makes it ok. Unacceptable. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

I personally am really looking forward to this because I loved how he tried something new with Gumm and the dance challenge was so cool and so Yeonjun 💕💕💕 Following from the music universe: "The ultimate all-rounder unveiled a bold, stylish album cover alongside the official announcement. Yeonjun of Gen Z icons Tomorrow X Together (TXT) is set to release his first solo album, No Labels: Part 01, on November 7th via BigHit Music. The project marks the first solo album from TXT’s ultimate all-rounder. A quest to reveal his truest self, the album is an unfiltered reflection of his identity—one that is uniquely his own and transcends any labels or definitions. With the album tracks infused with raw, rock-driven energy, Yeonjun explores a soundscape that mirrors his personal musical sensibilities, showcasing his signature artistry in every aspect. While TXT’s works highlighted visual storytelling, Yeonjun’s first solo album takes a stripped-down approach, revealing his raw presence and authenticity [...]" submitted by /u/plentyoflove98 [link] [comments]

I'm not even a BM stan but hearing about this had me mad. It's crazy that the label's fumble literally cost them a free win on the show. For context, BM was guaranteed to win Music Bank this week from album sales alone with over 6,600 points. But because YG forgot to submit BM's song/album to KBS beforehand, they were disqualified from contention and IZNA, who was far behind them in points ended up winning by default with just 4,483 points. Congrats to IZNA for getting their first and likely their only win of their comeback but it also sucks for the BM girls for getting snubbed purely because of their company slip-up. People might say "It's whatever, it's just a music show win, not an EOY award" but music show wins still matter to a lot of idols and their fans no matter what anyone says. I'm sure the girls definitely would have appreciated a win. submitted by /u/AggravatingFlow398 [link] [comments]
To keep things accurate to the time period, it should probably be SM and DSP for 1st gen instead. (I'm just going to skip them because tbh, I don't think I know enough groups that well, especially the ggs/co-ed groups. But I'd love to hear some opinions.) On that same note, I guess we could also argue that 2nd gen was a sort of transition period between that and the classic big 3 model (cmiiw). But for the sake of simplicity, I'm going to use SM/YG/JYP there, mainly because I feel like discussions of 2nd gen today very much reflect the now historical dominance of that three. I'm trying to choose only one bg and gg for each: 2nd gen - Beast - Kara (if we don't count DSP after all, then maybe T-ara) 3rd gen (only considering their origins and not that they would later become Hybe groups) - BTS (but if we disqualify them for being too much of an obvious answer (and Seventeen for similar reasons), Wanna One) - Gfriend 4th gen (now we're entering the big 4 era) - Ateez - IVE 5th gen (as of right now) - ZB1 - Kiss Of Life submitted by /u/Loud_Kaleidoscope818 [link] [comments]

So I like kayseye songs, but I'm not really a huge fan of them. When they were first introduced I was actually slightly interested and felt like debut and touch were pretty decent songs for them to come out with. Their image at the time was pretty basic in my opinion where they were just giving off pretty prep girls to kind of give a more easily digestible concept. Now when gnarly came out I liked the concept theme and didn't really like the song for quite a bit of time ( I still think the lyrics are very trash but the overall sound is catchy ) but understood that they were giving off a more boss girl look to get away from their previous cute prep girl aesthetic. Now where my problem comes in is that the gnarly era is pretty much done in my opinion but it feels like the girls are taking the concept way too literally and are starting to act like typical LA mean girls. Even the fans are starting to act similar as well to the point where It pushed me off from interacting with eyekons and katseye content. Eventually if they're just going to keep this up as their type of image, at least for me it's going to get very tiring very quickly. We already deal with this attitude when it comes to influencers who live in LA or New York on a daily basis online, so having to deal with that more from them...I'd rather not. submitted by /u/MochaMilku [link] [comments]
For the past 9 years I've been into Kpop I have NEVER seen soooo much hate comments about idols singing voices, some are valid but some are just straight up hate, I know the fourth and fifth generation are not the strongest in it, but some o y'all just don't like the tone they are singing and that doesn't mean that they are bad at it, for exemple I don't like Ateez main vocalist singing tone, Im not going to say that he's a bad singer and he doesn't deserve to be the main vocal, cus their was a time that knows he's the best fit for the group ! im also a Beyonce fan and some people ( believe it or not) think she is a bad singer, yes, there'r people that think BEYONCE is a bad vocalist....But they just don't like her tone🤷🏻♀️ submitted by /u/Visual-Ad7631 [link] [comments]
