Thoughts on Jungkook calling Jin
I'm a new army, I was watching bts "BE-hind story" interview of Jin and jungkook, and I noticed Jungkook mistakenly called jin by "yeobo" and then corrected it to hyung after. I know a bit about the korean culture from kdramas and I know "yeobo" is a term used specifically by married couples. so my question is why jungkook called jin by that? is it common for korean male friends to playfully call each other by that? but jungkook didn't seem like he was joking too and Jin didn't laugh or react too, he just ignored it. I'm not a shipper or anything, I know bts bond is very strong and not like any other kpop group, but I just want to know if it's a normal thing in kpop or south Korea in general for male friends to be this affectionate call each other that. submitted by /u/Green-Raise2633 [link] [comments]

667. underrated/nugu/small groups that would be a total HIT if they were part of the Big3

I'm talking about groups with good discography, amazing concepts, incredibly talented people and, basically, all the potential to be BIG My answer? Billlie, for sure. Not sure it counts since they're technically under sm(?... But seriously, they are one of the greatest groups out there. Their discography is one of the best, with barely no skips. The girls are very very talented, carismatic and all of them are insanely pretty (Haruna is, in my opinion, one of the prettiest girls in kpop). Also, their concept is the definition of AMAZING (it has a very developed storyline too) If you want to get into them, i recommend listening to their billage of perception ch2 album. submitted by /u/NeighborhoodTiny1431 [link] [comments]

672. How good of a dancer is Emma side by side with Bailey?

Watched Emma as part of Want in SWF. Likewise, I heard about the accomplishments of Bailey as a member of Kinjaz, participant in WOD and a famous choreographer. Just thinking if skillwise they are at the same level or there are other metrics to measure whos who? Just want a non-biased opinion regarding this. submitted by /u/Prof3ssionalObserver [link] [comments]

674. Did the OT7 movement take effect for RIIZE

So i was looking at RIIZE's spotify numbers for fly up and bad bag back and P1 harmony's duh and pretty boy, Both albums were released in May but P1 harmony seems to have more streams, despite having less monthly listeners than RIIZE. RIIZE had over 4M monthly listeners before this mess. So i started to wonder if RIIZE lost a huge number of its international fandom. RIIZE - 2.6M monthly listeners FLY UP - 6.8M Streams Bad bag back - 4.4 M streams (pre-released on YT) P1HARMONY - 1.4M monthly listeners DUH! - 5.8M streams Pretty boy - 8M streams Disclaimer: This is not meant to be a comparison, but its to show how much people are not interested in RIIZE's new music submitted by /u/WindowDirect7966 [link] [comments]

677. Do you ever have weird dreams about idols?

  • 5 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve dreamed G Dragon was my bartender and refused to serve me alcohol even thought I’m an adult, so he just kept my id and served me water. He had bright green hair and a pink feather boa. The same night I dreamed that Soobin had short hair, like two months after a buzz cut short and bangs like Courtney Cox in Scream 3. One time I dreamed Taehyun was a giant peace of cheese and I ate him. Last night I had dinner with Jake’s family, they were filthy rich and ocean waves kept drenching us every few minutes or so but we kept eating the wet food like nothing happened, we had pasta. submitted by /u/Maevenclaws [link] [comments]

680. Changmin (TVXQ) deserves more love, he’s mastered success and peace

  • 5 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I just want to take a moment to appreciate Shim Changmin – aka MAX of TVXQ – because the way he's carried himself all these years is genuinely inspiring. It recently hit me again, especially after watching his latest vlog around his birthday in 2025. He didn’t mention his child or family, and at first I thought maybe he was prioritizing work… but then I realized: he’s just a man who handles his private life with grace. In an industry where: 1) Idols get canceled for the smallest things 2) Dating is considered a scandal 3) And marriage and parenthood can be career-threatening Changmin has quietly and powerfully done all of the above – on his own terms. He stayed loyal to TVXQ during the split. He pursued his education while remaining active. He kept delivering top-tier vocals and performances. He got married to a non-celebrity. And he became a father in 2022, living a quiet family life without ever compromising his artistry. He’s not flashy. He doesn’t make headlines every week. But there’s something incredibly admirable about how he doesn’t need to. He’s steady. Grounded. Elegant. And now, seemingly at peace which is probably the biggest win of all in K-pop. It makes me so happy to know he’s living well, and still gifting us performances full of passion and maturity. Watching him evolve from a teenage maknae with high notes to a grown man who balances family and fame is honestly beautiful. Shim Changmin, thank you. You’ve won at life. submitted by /u/chrisomi9 [link] [comments]

683. Who do you guys think is the Trisha Paytas of Kpop?

  • 5 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

By Trisha Paytas I mean an idol, preferentially female, who has 'lived many lives', someone who's had tons of different styles and phases and been in a handful of controversies, and that have done so many different things in their career that they have lived life to their fullest. Kind of like a Barbie but more chaotic. submitted by /u/tomii_m [link] [comments]
