I have only been really into K-Pop for a little over a year, and I also like to listen to groups who aren’t necessarily that big. Cravity has been one of those groups, and I saw they were on Road to Kingdom last year and won, which would give the winning group a bit of a leg up. I’ve been fascinated by their new concept, love their comeback, and their KCON performance was a lot of fun to watch. For anyone who is fairly well versed in charts or know anything about their career, how would you say they’re doing as a whole, if we’re looking at pre-Road to Kingdom to now? Does it look like they’re doing pretty well? submitted by /u/32Wicky [link] [comments]

I kept getting recommendations for mushow stages of Ceremony, but I was confused if they were even different videos because the thumbnails seemed to all be pictures of Felix. So I searched "stray kids ceremony music show," and it turns out I wasn't exaggerating, Felix WAS on almost all the thumbnails. This is a little weird to me because they're acting like he's the Wonyoung of the group, but lots of the members are super popular? I saw at least one thumbnail with Hyunjin solo and one with both Felix and Hyunjin, but I didn't see a single solo pic of anyone else unless it was their individual fancam. I also searched "ateez lemon drop music show" for comparison. Despite San being by far the most well-known member in Korea, the thumbnails seemed pretty evenly shared among the members. In fact, I saw all 8 members on at least one solo thumbnail. This makes me wonder, is it the music shows that choose which member's picture to use, or can companies request for certain members to be the thumbnail? submitted by /u/eveningsnewestetoile [link] [comments]

Somi has had blonde hair for a while now, Sunmi wore a wig to make Blue and promote the song, and now I saw Wendy in her teaser, also with a short blonde bob. Since I'm not up to date with the fourth and fifth generations, I was wondering if it's trendy now. I love all three of them, and obviously, they look gorgeous! submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]
I'm not talking about the typical 2 or 4 versions of an album but that countless versions I usually see nowadays. I've been in the kpop space since elementary and before having different versions is not actually a thing. It recently got popular when kpop started to chart in the western market because let's be real here it helps with the slaes and boost the ranks. I know BTS have different versions of their album but the last time I checked it does not exceed 4 versions and their anthology album ‘Proof’ only got 2 versions. Seeing different groups whether a bg or a gg having these huge ass amount of versions is quite shocking actually because it's A LOT 😆. Now, I'm thinking these companies are treating these albums as kpop merchnadise with how they market it to the fans. submitted by /u/sinieves [link] [comments]

I’m sorry, but most of the time, the lyrics are completely different from the actual english translation. And also, sometimes the lyrics don’t match with the rhythm of the song, causing it to sound off. submitted by /u/One_Bumblebee_6349 [link] [comments]

i REALLY don’t think it’s ai, but i need confirmation or a way i can explain what the app acctualy is to said friend because they KEEP grilling me for spending my money on it. it could be a whole different conversation and they randomly bring up “remember how you pay 4.50$ for ai?” AND IT MAKES ME GO INSANE.oh my god ive never been this pissed off, like he thinks i’m THAT stupid?! if i could, i would send screenshots of the messages and the time stamps as proof but im not gonna do that because im pretty sure its illegal, and like an invasion of privacy. Hey there! I wanted to ask you all how you store the album contents, like photo cards, mini posters, stickers, other cards etc. For my ult group I have made collages out of all photo cards and posters I got if the members. Some album contents I have left in the albums that are in my shelf, and some I have put in an old box. I don't have enough room to make collages with all photo cards and contents I have but I don't want them lying around either. How do you store them? submitted by /u/pirateprincessji [link] [comments]
In ep 2, after both performances were over, why does the host speaker, Soojeong Son says, "Emma, this song launched your career. Did you know that it was gonna change your lives forever" And emma responds with "we" "us" "together". - I was confused bc wouldn't the song be a big changed for all the members not just Emma? and then after the next performance she then says "Emma, you've been working so hard on both performances. How has that been for you?" - I was so confused was Mel B not also working hard on both performances too? Am I missing the context of the question? I mean I dont know much about Ice Spice, and English is my second language so I was just confused by her choice of wording putting so much praising questions towards Emma... If someone could clarify for me that would be great! submitted by /u/channnnnie934 [link] [comments]
Like one group, fans in general underrate the vocal line. But they will ironically hype up another member’s vocals who is a main dancer or rapper. So the fandom claim to not care about vocals because the group is rap/dance heavy focused. Yet when it’s other members who sing, fans will glaze them. They don’t care about the vocal line singing but they will hype up the main dancer singing. Another group, the rap line is underrated and fans are more partial to vocal line. Yet when one vocalist raps, fans will hype them up and suddenly stan rapping. It’s weird how fans will not care about a certain position until their bias does it submitted by /u/taejinkook28 [link] [comments]
Parasocial Heartbreak I guess? This is probably pretty common, and I'm not trying to sound like a completely insane and delulu fan girl, and I understand that celebrities are just regular people, but does anyone else feel an insane sadness over the fact that you'll never get to personally know your bias/idols? I just became a fan of Stray Kids, and I love them for their unique personalities, kindness, and the ways they express themselves. I don't know them, but I relate to them, I share their passion for music and dance, and lots of their simple hobbies. I am not by any stretch trying to be them, I'm just very similar to them. Before I discovered kpop and kdramas I wanted to move to Korea. Now I feel an extreme parasocial connection, mainly towards Felix, who I feel most similar to. But, I realized he'll never know that. He'll never know how some days hes keeping me alive. How much I want to to have a discussion with him, just ask about his day. I would really appreciate it if someone could relate or say anything reassuring. (I am a teenager, and ChatGPT did not write this, I just really love writing so I try my best with grammar.) Thank you. 🫶❤️ submitted by /u/Temporary_Bake4762 [link] [comments]
