Hey fellow K-pop fans! I recently took on a vocal cover of “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters after a 6 month break from singing. This song hit hard 😅. The cinematic style, emotional vibe, and insane high notes made it a real challenge. It’s one of those songs that sticks with you, and I wanted to try and capture that feeling vocally. submitted by /u/R_Ian711 [link] [comments]

Kim Heechul with Jae Joong For context, In 2009, JaeJoong and two other members of DBSK (TVXQ) filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment over their 13-year “slave contracts.” After that, he was essentially blacklisted—banned from major Korean broadcasting stations, and no idol (especially from SM) could be seen publicly with him. It became an unspoken industry rule to avoid him. Jaejoong officially returned to South Korea and established his agency, iNKODE, in the spring of 2023. But non-conformist Kim Heechul never followed that rule. He stayed friends with JaeJoong openly, posting pictures with him, meeting him publicly, and even letting himself be filmed together with him—when no one else could. And now, in 2025, he’s become the only current SM artist to appear as a guest on JaeJoong’s YouTube channel, JaeFriends. These two were OG 2nd Gen Flower Boys, the ultimate visuals of their era. submitted by /u/arcieghi [link] [comments]

As said by the title. I’m bias shopping. Sell me your bias like they’re a car/house/appliance. Sales pitch must include their name and group. I’ll go first! Oh you’re in the market for a leader? Well let me introducing you to BangChan from Stray Kids. Manufactured in Australia but he went through a rigorous quality check and testing in Korean. He might only be FOIVE years old but he was training for 7 years before hitting the sales floor. He’s a great producer too so if you need a new song whipped up he’ll get that done for you. He comes in a few different hair colors, including blue and red! Our current model is shown in black hair. Comes with default wolf software, and if you buy today you can get an automatic upgrade to the Kangaroo high jump expansion pack! Yes he’s the one that has 7 kids with him. It does come as a package deal but you get a great discount! Oh, as for care, please ensure that you do not put any pineapples in his food. submitted by /u/Qilincreations [link] [comments]
Dang what’s a worse timing than this? Curious how this would affect their biggest artists’ (BTS) much hyped and awaited comeback with this happening within the company. Source: https://www.hansbiz.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=762255 submitted by /u/excitingstable53 [link] [comments]

I’ve often seen posts about how messy BLACKPINK’s fandom is, to the point where the solo stans of each member are constantly fighting with one another. And I’ve just realized that this all stems from how YG Entertainment built their fanbase. They promoted BLACKPINK as four individuals under one group, rather than as a truly united group. From the start, each member had a different image. Jisoo was the elegant Korean visual. Jennie was the stylish rapper. Rosé was the blonde main vocalist. Lisa was the main dancer and rapper with the bangs. Even their voices sound very different from one another. YG also gave more attention to their solo activities. Even before their solo contracts ended, the company was already pushing each member with their own brand deals, sponsorships, and solo projects. There have been many times when the members had more solo activities than group comebacks. To be fair, this strategy worked remarkably well. By marketing each member to different demographics and aesthetics, BLACKPINK captured a vast and diverse audience. It also helped the girls build their own image and brand, which is why they can market themselves well even now. But because of this setup, the fandom has unfortunately been divided. And honestly, that could’ve been YG’s plan all along. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]
