Just saw a viral tweet on X that said: "no shade but what is it w the world being completely OBSESSED w everything that stemmed from kpop (katseye, kpop demon hunters) but they won’t give actual kpop a try ????😭" And honestly I'd love to hear your opinions on this statement. For me personally: I think most kpop stans themselves (especially a certain fandom respectfully) made people think being a fan of a kpop group is "cringe" or "weird". Their actions painted a bad image for the reputation of kpop. Language barrier is a huge issue. The US is the biggest music market in the world. Anything that blows up in the US means it's bound to get popular everywhere else. Kpop is NOT a big genre here whether kpop stans want to admit it or not. The average American who doesn't follow kpop cannot name any kpop groups except maybe BTS and/or BLACKPINK. Oversaturation of kpop groups. Yes, this can be an issue. There's so many kpop groups and more and more keep debuting every year. This is overwhelming for most people. These are my opinions on why the genre isn't that big locally and why most people won't give it a try. I'd love to hear what others think. submitted by /u/floraa5 [link] [comments]

My old ass fossil dog followed his younger brother to heaven a bit over a month ago and I've moved past the grieving point where I get upset at seeing other people's beasts to the part where I want to see my dogs' weirdo factor in other people's animals. Tell me about idols' beasts Pictured are SVT S.coups' Kkuma and Gunbam. We don't know much abt Gunbam since she's very new, but she sleeps silly. Kkuma is the kind of fluffy my younger dog was (both in hair and weight😅) and apparently isn't very obedient since she won't give paw and also tries to climb up his chest when she's hungry submitted by /u/SomeRaceHorseName [link] [comments]

27M here. Just writing about my feelings for female kpop idols. I've never had a gf or relationship or anything. Been out of college for several years now. I think for me kpop has replaced school crushes. I used to have crushes on classmates. Obviously I usually didn't talk to them but when I did it never ended well. Now in the workforce I don't interact with young women anymore. My coworkers are usually older and/or married. The only place I can see women around my age is kpop. Now I just crush on kpop idols. I used to do anime but 2D just doesn't do it for me anymore. A kpop idol is a real human being and I can fantasize about what it's like to know them or talk to them irl. i can watch their videos and vlogs of their lives. Read their life story and admire them. People think I'm just really horny but that's true. I admire them on an emotional level. Anyone else in the same boat? submitted by /u/sleepyhead7000 [link] [comments]
