idk but aespa kinda feels like they’re gonna be the next globally popular group and will be similar to bp when it comes to solos lol. karina = lisa (main dancer/performer that’ll go crazy with stage presence) winter = jisoo (visual, classy vibes, soft vocals) ningning = jennie (all-rounder, “it girl” type soloist) giselle = rosé (maybe more chill/lyrical type music) the parallels are there, obviously they’ll all do their own thing but i wouldn’t be shocked if sm pushes them in a similar way. what do y’all think, am i reaching or do u see it too? submitted by /u/Pretty-Device-7721 [link] [comments]

So until May this year I was a casual atiny, but I have been getting way more into them during Lemon Drop and IYF promotions—let me just say, Mingi has always been my bias, I love his voice and think it's very unique and distinct and adds so much to the groups music. Songs like Wave, Illusion, Say My Name, Wonderland, Promise etc. would simply just be not the same without his voice and vocal tone. This isn't to detract from the other members, they ALL have incredible voices and have created a unique sound/discography with them, but man there is something I personally find so addictive when it comes to Mingi's voice. That's why I find it especially sad that there are a couple of instances of Mingi saying that he doesn't think he was essential to Ateez's success/that he is replaceable (that one episode of showterview and I believe an idol radio appearance?) because to me, he is such a key member and is absolutely irreplaceable when it comes to Ateez's sound. I'm glad the other members seem to agree eg. San saying there is no one like Mingi and Hongjoong expressing that he's glad Mingi was able to record ZERO FEVER: Part 2 with them even though he was on hiatus at the time and didn't participate in promotions. That truly warms my heart and I hope he knows that many, many people would miss him if he wasn't part of the group. submitted by /u/Prize-Geologist-8535 [link] [comments]

I would love to hear both a silly and serious answer in the same comment :) I’m curious how well people know their faves and whether people idolize them or are able to see their flaws! submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

Do you think K-Pop can ever really be unpolitical? Some fans argue that idols should just focus on music and entertainment, while others believe that given their influence we should expect them to take a stand on social or political issues. What’s your opinion? Should idols stay neutral, or do we as fans have the right to demand political statements from them? Especially because a lot of kpop fans are politically active? submitted by /u/theusidil [link] [comments]
