When I first saw NCT's Chiller ad on Twitter, I tolerated it and scroll away. Now, it's repetitively showing in my TL and it's getting annoying😭. I respect them but I don't want to pay premium just to block this ad. Is this also showing to you? How do you deal with this?😭 submitted by /u/ynjeessp [link] [comments]

4.643. FANS ACTING LIKE VOCAL COACHES BOILS MY BLOOD

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

there's this phenomenal in kpop, when everyone is acting as a vocal coach and talking like they know everything about music but they can't even know the diffrence between a head voice? a chest voice, mixed voice and a belting, I FUCKING HATE IT as someone who can sing and is educated on music and i study music on my own in my free time, i'm sorry but please stop embarassing yourself acting like you know shit when you don't, the golden challenge is bringing me problems cause people are hating on the idols who actually do hit the note perfectly just like in the song, and praising people who doesn't and literally they do it in a head voice, and when i correct people that no you're praising someone who is doing it the easy way (which is head voice) instead of actually hitting it, i get attacked saying that i'm hating or something when all i'm doing is speaking facts!!, you may ask why is this annoying to me?? cause imagine you being hated for actually doing the job when other people are getting praised for actually PRETENDING to do what you're doing!!!! PLEASE IF YOU'RE AREN'T EDUCATED ON MUSIC DON'T TALK LIKE A VOCAL COACH SAYING THAT SOMEONE IS VOCAL POWERHOUSE AND DONE A HIGHNOTE WHEN THEY DIDN'T DO SHIT!! please you can praise your idol however you want but stop acting like you know shit when you don't, saying they hit it when they didn't, it's okay it is hard to hit high notes i know that as a person who sings, but saying they did it when they didn't and acting like i'm being a hater on the vocal powerhouse when i'm just talking about something i'm educated about is another level on craziness, it's INSANE and ANNOYING!! submitted by /u/etherealpapillon5 [link] [comments]

4.649. Why the hell did HYBE let TXT and LE SSERAFIM have concerts on the exact same date in the same city (LA)

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

LE SSERAFIM is performing at Kia Forum on Sep 12. Tickets went on sale June 24. TXT is performing at BMO Stadium on Sep 12. Tickets first went on sale yesterday. TXT's LA date has a lot of tickets available. Before I get any hate, I'm a huge MOA, but lets face facts. LA is usually one of the better performing tour stops for most kpop tours with the highest demand and it's a Friday show so would be easier for people to go to. There's still 2 more months before the concert so they can definitely sell more tickets and dynamic pricing made tickets super expensive so people might be waiting. But it's just frustrating looking at this situation. Unless you have a massive fandom, American kpop concerts rely on casual fans especially for bigger venues like arenas and stadiums. This isn't Asia where hardcore fans can easily sell out venues. TXT has other things against them like only giving 2 months notice (which is extremely short even for kpop standards) and being a tour that comes after so many this year where multi stans and casuals have already spent a lot. And this is TXT's fourth American tour compared to LSFM's first American tour so honestly a lot of people have seen them already. But the fact that they literally have a concert on the same date in the same city as another HYBE group is crazy! Definitely overlap where people could have went to both. And Yeonjun's birthday is Sep 13 so it could have been cool for the concert to be on the Saturday. I swear I hope HYBE wasn't cheap and decided on Friday because it was cheaper to book... submitted by /u/insidedarkness [link] [comments]

The title is simple, we all have our disagreements with other stans whether with stans who stan the same group as you do, but as the title do you ever regret getting into an argument with another stan who stanned the group as you do? Like say if the argument was over you not liking how a company is mishandling a group and you disagreed and another stan disagreed with you submitted by /u/jdpm1991 [link] [comments]

4.658. Hearts2Hearts is the least vocally skilled SM girl group

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I had high hopes for h2h's vocals bcuz they are an SM group. As time went on, I found their vocal finesse quite disappointing by SM standards. To be fair, their vocals are not bad. They are clearly well-trained. Still, they are not particularly impressive either. They come across as decent, which is unexpected for an SM girl group. Among the members, Carmen stands out as the only great vocalist. That said, she still feels weak for a main vocalist from SM. For instance, I watched their performances of “style” at musiccore in Korea and “gee” at musiccore in Japan. While the vocals were satisfactory, they lacked the strength and presence I usually associate w/ senior SM artists. In addition, I watched the recording behind of “the chase”. It was not terrible, but not very polished either. Ofc, I understand that h2h are still rookies. Even so, senior SM groups had strong vocalists right from their debut. Idk much about Riize and NCT Wish’s vocals, since I am not very familiar w/ boy groups. That being said, I did see Riize being criticised for their vocals at the Hanteo Music Awards. All in all, I expected h2h to debut w/ the kind of vocal prowess demonstrated by rookie Aespa or rookie NMIXX. Nevertheless, they failed to live up to that anticipation. submitted by /u/mirroway [link] [comments]

4.660. Did Aespa break SM? Looking for proper context.

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

So generally the prevailing thought and assumption is SM is not very forgiving in their treatment with their artists relative to artistic input and real say in what gets put out. So to my question regarding Aespa breaking SM on this is centered around two instances in the past year where the group essentially said, nope, this is happening. First, the concert solos: as far as I had known, things like this just didn’t get released, even the fist set of solos never saw the light of day no matter how much clamoring the fanbase did for it. The company held firm until the success of the solos strictly from fan stages basically forced them to release them, resulting in Up charting, hitting milestones for a song that didn’t even have a proper release or any real promo. The second instance is Dirty Work. A couple of interviews the girls have done during the promotion hinted at the fact that SM didn’t want to release it but the girls said, nope, this is what we want, and SM went along with them. These two things would kind of seem counter to what is known. What I’m wondering is if this is an instance where Aespa is too big for them to simply ignore when it comes to real control or can anyone give me other instances where an artist was able to somewhat dictate to SM what they wanted and ultimately have them cater to what the artist ultimately wanted. Red velvet and NCT 127 had eras where they could have done the same regarding more creative control so I’m curious if those fandoms have instances where something like this happened? Hopefully, this means that in the future, we get music from the girls themselves and does away with the clunky process they have regarding their submission process on music from artists. They’re about to hit the 5 yr mark and I would assume proper solo projects may start popping up on the radar and what that could mean if SM gives up the reigns a little. submitted by /u/RML_1972 [link] [comments]
