Disclaimer: No Idol should get any hate for their relationships or private life. This post is not to spark more idol hate, just to understand why kpop stans are the way they are and what the reasoning behind the hate is. https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop_uncensored/comments/1l62j5r/miss_a_reunite_at_miss_a_mins_wedding_other_idols/ https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop_uncensored/comments/1l8danz/4th_gen_female_idol_gets_backlash_for_showing_off/ Comparing these 2 posts, why does Chaeyeon get hate for something that's not even a relationship, but Min from MissA doesn't get hate for her wedding (and the focus is more on Suzy than anything)? Along the same lines, why did Aespa's Winter and Karina receive threats over dating rumors, but Jisoo from BP didn't? Why does Jennie get hate for rumors dating BTS V, but Twice Jihyo with Sung-bin doesn't? Soo-young from SNSD, Taeyang from BB, and IU, from my knowledge, don't get any hate, but why is that? (again not saying they should, THEY SHOULDN'T, but why are kpop stans so mixed in their views?) Also, I feel like female idols get more scrutiny than male idols. Why is that? submitted by /u/LingonberryMain9430 [link] [comments]

939. Is it possible to engage with kpop without being emotionally invested?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I have personally never stanned anyone. When I was a teen I was into book fandoms on tumblr and the discourse largely surrounded fictional characters. I was more involved in fan theories and stuff. I like kpop but I only listen to the music. No performances, MVs etc. I like discussing kpop more than watching it (it takes less time). So I never managed to become emotionally attached to an idol group. Am I engaging with kpop wrong? I see fans engaging deeply with the idols. They go around defending their idols, hating on idols, having different discussions etc. I mostly focus on the music and concept of a group. Sometimes I won't even know the members of the group. I also really like discussing marketing strategies, zeitgeist, trends etc. I just find it hard to get attached to celebrity figures and people like that. submitted by /u/avrilsower [link] [comments]

940. ITZY'S FIRST STUDIO CHOOM PERFORMANCE IN 3 YEARS

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is ITZY's first studio choom performance from sneakers The song, being dance-pop, shines more with ITZY's performance Highlights 0:06 - intro Lia is just gorgeous 1:17 - Ryujin's Count 3 2 1 1:21, 1:54 - The slow-mo hand lock rotation 2:12 - The whole last chorus choreo. Lia's part is so perfect here. A lot of people wanted to see Lia's 2:17 move. But Studio Choom didn't show it. The chorus and the dance break are awesome too, but the highlights I mentioned were more memorable to me. I recommend watching the performance. What were the parts in the choreo memorable to you? submitted by /u/WindowDirect7966 [link] [comments]

941. Need someone from South Korea to receive my package, will also pay!

Hello, is there some kind person out there from South Korea that is willing to receive my package? I’d really appreciate it. Recently I’ve ordered a game item code on Bunjang through proxy service ,,delivered“ but they denied to send me a picture of the item, instead they sent the item to their warehouse, which I originally didn’t agree to (misunderstanding in communication). The package is now on the way to their warehouse and there is no way for me to receive it (Iam from Germany). If somebody is willing to receive the item for me and send me a picture of the Product I would also be willing to pay him/her. submitted by /u/BVB_Dortmund2019 [link] [comments]

947. I think i've lost touch with social media?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I haven't been very active on tiktok so maybe it's always been this way? But genuinely kind of baffled. I follow a few different bgs on tt and whenever they post something, it's full of comments about this other group. Like in a really abrasive way and inciting comparisons. Usually in all caps lol. Strangely, on said group's posts it's the same vibe, just that the target becomes their own members. On top of that there's also all the other weird and malicious comments like asking someone to collab with some late celebrity?? And i always see these comments at the top. Am i just starting to notice things that were always there or is this new 😧 is this the new social media culture 😱 submitted by /u/Allthingsmatcha0923 [link] [comments]

950. It's been nearly 4 years but this one cover song from LOUD still flashes in my mind and bothers me from time to time...

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

so current TIOT member and Boys Planet contestant Kim Min Seong also competed on the JYP/P Nation show LOUD back in 2021 and in there he covered ATEEZ's Say My Name. It's a pretty good cover but if you listen to it here in the live stage it's clearly a cover as-is structure wise save for the lyric changes and a shortened prechorus. That's why it bothers me to no end why the Studio Version they released has the vocal track ahead of the instrumental??? It's half a beat (?) early which allows it to still kinda work at spots but it's clearly wrong, and I'm sure whichever audio engineer was tasked to do this just accidentally nudged the track backwards while editing and never noticed. It's come to the point that when I hear the ATEEZ original, I also subconsciously sing the instrumental half a beat early. I wish I could unhear this but if you played Superstar JYPNation you will be subject to hearing this studio version against your will every so often. This will never exit my mind palace and I am doomed to live with this sorrow forever. submitted by /u/SkyloTC [link] [comments]

952. Is it ok to enjoy kpop if you don’t know Korean?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

My ELA teacher is making us do an essay on controversial interests so I chose K-pop bc many fandoms in K-pop are toxic to the artists and to fellow fans. She read the start of my essay and said, "Well, K-pop uses Korean and English, right? I want one of these paragraphs to be if K-pop fans are ok with non-korean speaking fans." What is everyone's opinions? submitted by /u/butterfly_pea31 [link] [comments]
