EXO and NCT were my favorite groups. It all started with EXO, the song Overdose pulled me into K-pop. Then I heard Cherry Bomb by NCT and I was completely hooked. I stepped away from K-pop for a few years. Now I'm back, and everything feels so different. EXO are barely around. NCT are split into so many parts that it is hard to follow anything. Both groups had the potential to become legends. Maybe this has already been said a thousand times but I couldn't stay silent. Coming back and seeing how SM treated them honestly hurts. SM had gold in their hands and let it slip. EXO faded because of bad management and silence. NCT drowned in a concept that became too complicated to function. In the song Cherry Bomb, NCT said "I'm the biggest hit on this stage." And they really should have been. Just like EXO. Instead we got chaos, wasted potential and silence. Are there still fans of these groups who feel the same pain? Do you ever go back to their old songs and feel a mix of love and sadness for what they used to be? submitted by /u/SnackOnFacts [link] [comments]

Hey everyone, thank you for the nice comments under my last post! With the help of u/3-X-0 (thank you so much again!) I was able to fix some bugs and make the site ready for more people! If you don't know what this is about: This is my current project to make a website where you can rate and keep up with your favourite artists! You can check my last post to learn more about it. If you wanna try it out, just comment undere here or DM me and I'll let more and more people in gradually. I also want to make wither a reddit group chat or discord for those helping so we can exchange better (only if you want ofc), so tell me which you prefer. For those who care what changed since last week: - Design improvements - Added physical releases feature (First half of the video): Keep track of albums you've bought or want to buy! See every album in your collection - Added ability to suggest missing physical releases (second half of video): Since it's a somewhat manual process to add physical releases, theres an option to suggest releases to help me out with it. Suggesting an release can earn you points if it gets approved. - Point system: To make it more fun, earning points can make you level up and show up in the leaderboard, showing the support you gave to the website. I want to make this more community driven if it works out, and we'll see where we go with this feature in the future. submitted by /u/K-drip [link] [comments]

I have heard from many non kpop fans says that they don't like pop songs, and kpop are mostly dominated with hip hop, pop, experimental and noisy sounds, but kpop is not a genre but an industry, they just didn't find the right song, ballad, r&b, afrobeat, jazz, raggae, very underrated genres. submitted by /u/GuideOk7067 [link] [comments]
