Hi, I just want to know whether you or any friends of u guys have faced this?....so my Indian Bangalore friend is saying she is secretly dating a Member of BTS for the past 4 years Thro Whatsapp!! Not sure about this, cause usually idols don't use this app and instead use kakao talk...when i asked her about this she said he messages will in English! ( which is not believe able? ) but they have never video called or called each other, only through whatsapp text messages they have spoken with one another. Now she is asking for money for him!...as he says he cant come to India as his manager as his money? that he can't get caught using his money? so he needs 1lak Rs....LIKE WHAT! I MEAN! if he really is a BTS member, then he has all the money in the world? if he really wants to come to India he can just say it is a trip? like Jackson Wang? My dumb friend really believes he's real and is collecting money without her parents knowing and is also refusing marriage! I don't know what to do! what to believe! I know that Kpop groups being censored or permitted to talk about certain things is something we as fans all know about, but Idk these kind of videos like Stray Kids' recent video with Vanity fair where they 'reveal uncomfortable truths in the Hot Seat' really puts it into perspective for me. As fans we all like to get some intel sometimes, and so a title like that might sound enticing to a lot of us. But... as expected, to none of the members fault (but the companies censoring) we didn't learn anything special or crazy. Now I'm not talking about expecting the members to put all their business out there into the world, but with the censoring... videos like this just don't really work. Nothing about the video was surprising or eyebrow uplifting even, with a lot of the questions being questions we get pretty much everytime like 'who ignores the group chat the most'... like dang Idk haven't I heard that question like 10 times before? I don't know I feel like this is definitely not just the companies fault, as they know how fans will react with certain questions, but I feel that when you as a company are trying so hard to cater to different audiences, you should atleast aknowledge that the strict and overbearingly censored version of idols doesn't cater to this public you're trying to appeal them to. recently tonight i found myself a fun new hobby. it’s watching color coded lyric videos and counting how many lines my bias has. ghost9 is a boy group i got into tonight and while im not decided on a bias, i found myself counting how many lines Prince has. and getting excited whenever he had a line (one of my first signs ive found a potential bias). Prince has a very present social media presence so i stumbled upon a few of his reels while on instagram. i really enjoyed his personality and how he thinks. i thought he was genuinely funny. so i wanted to look into his group, see what he does and what he sounds like. this is when i went down a rabbit hole of music videos to see what the vibe and sound of the group is and then upon realizing “just because i know his talking voice in english doesn’t mean i am recognize it in a group of 7-9 members) so then my next rabbit hole was color coded lyric videos, and started to count how many lines he has. i get really excited when doing it. so i think im going to continue doing this with other groups as well especially with new ones that i cant yet distinguish the voices of. im certainly not the first person to do this but i wanted to bring it to a subreddit for others to see and maybe do! submitted by /u/No_Map1913 [link] [comments]
