Pretty sure he didn’t need to submit a formal request to the fandom’s Ministry of Nostrils before doing something with his face. What’s wild is that half the people crying over his ‘best feature’ probably haven’t streamed his music in years and couldn’t name a song past Move. You don’t care about him you care about a curated image that fits your idea of who he should be. News flash: Taemin is not just a pretty face to decorate your feed. He’s a Human. I just read a post of someone wishing "it would be amazing if jungkook perform at waterbomb!!" but the reactions were not good. I was like why??? Turns out most fans don't want him to perform there. Mostly because of the harassment he will get on social media or communities. But then again, many female or male singers perform there and receive massive attention. My bias (male idol) performed and I remember Shinee Minho and btob minhyuk waterbomb fancam went viral last year. Even it can turn someone's life to a trendsetter! What do you think? I was rewatching old Produce 101 and IOI content, and it’s crazy to think that all of that happened in less than two years. So much of the Produce 101 footage includes behind the scenes and vlog videos that didn’t make it onto the broadcasted show but were uploaded to the Produce 101 YouTube channel. Some of these videos didn’t get as many views, yet they’re a fascinating window into someone's life at one point like the short clip of a spilled Coke prank, where they wanted to see which trainees would clean it up. or just mundane practice room videos of them just fooling around It's always interesting to mundane moments like that are now immortalized online. To me, it feels like a lifetime ago, and it all went by so quickly. I wonder what it’s like for the IOI members, and for K-pop group members in general. I know many of the contestants from Produce series, as well as groups like IOI and IZONE I know they still keep in touch, but I often wonder about them a lot. It kind of reminds me of university life, where time flies in the span of four years, but at the same time, you have millions of eyes on you. Same with people in trainee programs that are so public like smrookies or jyp trainees. I probably hurts to see some people who you trained it make it. There's also trainees I voted for who I really wanted to pull through like the Pristin girls (Especially Xiyeon she basically spent her entire childhood in Pristin only to be thrown away), Han Hyeri, Kim Dani and Kang Sira. Some of them haven't released anything in years but have public instagram and obviously we're not privy to their lives but I always wonder how they feel about it. Just saw on twt that ASA from BABYMONSTER revealed in an interview that kindergarten was the highest level of education she completed. Not middle school. Not even elementary. KINDERGARTEN😭 I get these idols start young but imagine kindergarten being your highest education qualification?!!! Like personally if i was an idol i would NEVER in my wildest dreams disclose this😭 Also no wonder some idols are airheads. Im not even shading- its the reality atp. If you waste ur entire childhood in training rooms, how one will develop critical thinking, basic life skills or even social awareness. It’s honestly heartbreaking that these kids chase their dreams and give up education and worse some dont even debut. I truly blame the company and especially the parents. BTS had their comeback OT7 live a few days ago, in which they were their usual chaotic selves. Beyond the laughter, giggles, and overall chaos, they also used the Weverse Live to share their plans as a group, specifically about THE OT7 comeback. They teased a spring 2026 release for their album and mentioned that they will spend a lot of time together, starting in July, to work on the album as a group. To do so, they will travel to the US along with Jin and follow him throughout his tour, so he can also be involved in the process, which I think is so endearing and just peak OT7 energy. They are planning a song camp and talked about going back to basics; the last time they did something similar, we ended up with Dark & Wild, which in my opinion is one of their best albums sonically. And it will be incredible to see what kind of album a more refined, mature, more relaxed (since they were so tired filming American Hustle Life during Dark and Wild) BTS will create all together in a similar setting. I also really hope they document the album-making process with a documentary or docuseries, similar to what they did with their solo releases. Namjoon is also the first member to depart for LA and he just posted saying that he is "Ready to cook" and also posted a picture of his lyrics notebook and to say I am seated and super excited for the music that he is ready to create and the stories that he wants to tell is an understatment. Namjoon mentioned how he couldn't write anything at all while in the military and couldn't create at all because he wasn't in the right creative space, so seeing this post further makes me happy, realizing that he is now back in his element, ready to do what he does best. I am also really intrigued by what the final album will sound like. Their solo eras have shown how multifaceted BTS is, from the themes they explore to the genres they dabble in and even their performances, so it is sometimes wild to think they are all in the same band. Moreover, their solo albums are authentically them, so it will be interesting to see how we will see a glimpse of that in the album, while it is uniquely BTS. I feel like an album that is a mix of Indigo, FACE, Hope on the Street, and Right Place, Wrong Person, something equal parts introspective and dark, equal parts funky with a mix of pop, but also something that pushes the boundaries a bit, will go insane.
