If you've been to one tell me what you thought. it was for 626 night market at the alameda county fairgrounds, bay area cali. It was probably one of the stranger things i've done in my decades long dj career, but i had fun. i was djing along side two other djs doing non kpop stuff. edm and old school hip hop. definitely overthunk it. i came up with about 200 songs, worked on transitions, edited out fillers, just brought a-list joints unless they sounded good to me for quick mixes. couple of old classics, lots of kpop demon hunter hardstyle and d&b remixes. The people who were locked on my channel really dug it and i got a lot of compliments, but as a whole, most of them were not kpop poeple so they stuck with the old school hip hop channel. cant compete with dr dre in california lol, but i held my own with the bigger kpop classics and mashups i made. pls let me know what you think if you listen. and big shout out to glorilla, interscope records, jackson wang, 88 rising and diplo for helping me out with custom mixes i used for this that pretty much went unappreciated by most of the teenie boppers who just wanted to hear APT. haha. Check it out here if you want. submitted by /u/DJJonOfficial [link] [comments]

For me, it's definitely Yeji !! This girl has always been extremely stunning, but, gosh, the lob/bob hairstyle š!! She's like ultimately beautiful this way š!! Originally, I always considered Ryujin to be the most beautiful with her lob/bob hairstyle, but I have to say, Yeji, who has always been very attractive, has become even more stunning with this new haircut!! I can't even sat which one is the best, Ryujin was also extremely stunning with the bob/lob haircut š, especially brown hairs. submitted by /u/Cestlavieenrose999 [link] [comments]
Sheāll be back with her 3rd EP, In Bloom. Finally! Itās been 2 years since DALALA next month. Weāve had some collabs, OSTs and the GFRIEND reunion obviously, but that was only 2 songs, and thatās hardly enough! The new album sounds amazing already, and it looks like weāll see her playing electric guitar too this time, and she for sure wrote her own material again! I am so damn hyped! The title track Reply sounds like an absolute banger already! Just so damn cool that sheās finally back! Sheās my absolute favourite voice in kpop! Crossing fingers for Itās Live, Begin Again, Picnic Live and just about every other singing show! Whatās been your favorite Yuju track / cover etc so far? submitted by /u/pornypete [link] [comments]

people are getting so angry with blackpink due to their ālack of energyā and āprofessionalismā, yet instead of giving them constructive criticism, they brutally attack these women and make snarky remarks toward them. not only blackpink, this goes out to the entire kpop industry. kpop fans are insanely cynical. theyāre never satisfied with anything and feel the need to micro-analyze everything these idols do. theyāre human just like the rest of us. kpop idols arenāt and wonāt be perfect, sorry. people need to go get a hobby and worry about themselves before criticizing others. itās getting ridiculous. submitted by /u/WorriedClub9375 [link] [comments]
Not the ones already acting, just idols you think would actually do well if they tried. submitted by /u/Maleficent_Dinner875 [link] [comments]

So, my niece is addicted to K-pop Demon Hunters, and I'd love to get her into more K-pop music. Twice recorded a song on the soundtrack and she loves it, and I've had her listen to some BTS, Straykids and Blackpink, but my experience is limited, so I came to the experts. I'd love to make her a Spotify playlist, so what songs do you recommend I get her to listen to? submitted by /u/MintyGoth [link] [comments]

So I just wanted to rant here how stupid these people are. Before this stupid movie came out they were like āyuck kpop! ew who even likes kpop?ā I think it has something to do with the movie being unrelated to actual people, not characters, so these people feel safe saying they like the kpop movie instead of actual kpop. Theyāre almost using it as a shield bc they donāt want people to see them as kpop fans. And I donāt blame them, kpop stans are portrayed as annoying and/or mean and defensive of idols. But still, because itās an American movie, they donāt feel threatened by it, as if theyre scared of liking anything that isnāt made by white people. submitted by /u/ThisCommunication167 [link] [comments]
Might be controversial but some of the comments in their live are so unnecessary. Xlov had a live for Hyuns birthday the other day and the comments were terrible. It was just creepy ones fetishizing the members telling them to twerk and kiss each other. I think groups should do their lives on twitch or discord so they can have moderators to avoid all this creepy stuff. In the live you could tell the members were actually annoyed and at the end Wumuti asked for fans to be polite and not weird. submitted by /u/xlov_mother_muti [link] [comments]
I used to be really into K-pop back then, and I remember fans would totally lose their minds when idols were caught datingš§āāļø Just wondering is it still like that now, or have fans become more chill about it? submitted by /u/SatisfactionSpare573 [link] [comments]
This is particularly noticeable in K-pop due to Stan Twitter's visibility. However, this phenomenon exists across countries and genres. For example, the partners of Justin Bieber, One Direction members, and the Magcon boys have all received intense hate. When a female idol dates a man, the backlash typically comes from male fans and is directed at her. When a male idol dates a woman, the hate is often directed at his partner, usually by his younger female fans or random people hopping on the hate train. It's this second scenario that I'm curious about. What drives this behavior? To be clear, Iām not trying to criticize all young women who stan boy groups, thereās already too much of that. Even those who get caught up in these hate trains are likely children. Theyāre sold the fantasy of a boyfriend at an impressionable age by corporations trying to milk them. The onus is on the corporation not the idol or the fan who are both likely incredibly young. What drives the hatred towards the partner is what confuses me? It's the corporations that pay idols to play into this fantasy for money. submitted by /u/Wooyoungsmole [link] [comments]
