Soobin is way too honest sometimes 💀 It’s basically a running joke in our fandom at this point that he’s super submissive (TXT leader btw) but what cracks me up is how casually he says these things on national TV. Like, nobody’s forcing him to confess this stuff, and yet he just... does 😭 Honestly, I love it. It’s hilarious getting a peek into the weird, questionable tastes some idols have. So please, feel free to share the most unhinged things your faves have said too! I screenshoted these pics from a tiktok by @minilix.gc, in case you want to see the full video. Actually, if you just search his name on TikTok, there are tons of clips of him saying the most chaotic stuff (feel free to add them). He’s genuinely such a weirdo and I adore him for it lmao. submitted by /u/ev4ryoung [link] [comments]

I’ve just recently begun to get into idle as a group to stan so apologies if this is tired discourse or not relevant. but every time i go to search them on tiktok, there are always comments and videos implying soyeon is selfish and centers the group around herself. i’m going to be honest. she makes the music, and she seems to be the leader in all aspects of the group. of course she’s more centered. i don’t think it means she is purposefully making sure the shine is never off of her. also, i feel like people miss that while she takes a lot of credit and lines she also seems to take the responsibility that comes with it. she takes the brunt of the criticism. if people think other members lack energy, it’s because soyeon made a song that doesn’t fit them. if minnie and miyeon can’t hit a note and soyeon can, soyeon is the devil for making that song. the group has made it clear that she collaborates with the members, asks for their opinions on everything, and helps them with parts and performances so they stand out. i think it’s ridiculous to say that just because you aren’t a fan of the newer music that the members hate it and soyeon is an evil mastermind controlling them. i think this is particularly interesting to view as a person who grew up loving bigbang. i will say they are one of the groups with strong solo careers for every member. but come on, most of bigbang was centered around gd. he got the coolest outfits because he liked fashion, he wrote the music and always got substantial time. i don’t think the criticism was on the same level. and it’s funny, s*ungri always complained abt not having lines and no one thought gd was selfish. shuhua seems to be the person fans pity for her lines but she has never said she is unhappy or dissatisfied. soyeon is very respectable as a woman who had to break through barriers for herself and her group. i think she deserves a lot more respect, and i say this as someone who has some real issues with their music and lyrics sometimes. submitted by /u/MidgetDevil [link] [comments]
I'm going to see Ateez for the first time at their LA stop! SUPER excited since ive been with them since 2018, but i really wanna dress up in a costume that relates to their storyline. I was ultimately thinking about wearing a boxer ish outfit as a reference to San's one scene in Bouncy and the Rocky(boxer ver.) MV, but i feel like no one would get the reference lol. Otherwise, I was just thinking of going as a food/diner employee from the Work MV or something because thats fun. What do you guys think? any other ideas? Feedback is appreciated 🙏🏾 submitted by /u/imsingleandpanpls [link] [comments]
I don't care for BTS at all, but some of the takes I've seen on my feed from that sub are borderline insane. This whole snark sub drama has been happening for a while now and I didn't really gaf, but now I'm starting to understand why fans were upset. That sub is literally unfiltered hate (yes, hate not criticism). I saw a post calling a BTS member ugly and one criticizing an interaction with a fan. I don't stan BTS at all (multi but Aespa and NCT are my ults) but even I was disgusted at the barely disguised vitriol. It's one thing to dislike a group or an idol, it's another thing to be an active piece of shit. Do these people not realize they are referring to actual human beings with feelings? Like they've got me out here feeling bad for a bunch of grown men I don't even support, that's how bad that sub was. Anyway rant over. Sorry to all the Armys who had to see that shit. (and Blinks too but thankfully I haven't come across the BP hate sub). submitted by /u/CrazyGailz [link] [comments]
I know its been posted before, but this time as Canadian and especially with my fellow Mexican fans. It extra hurts this year to see TXT again skipping over Canada, Mexico, Latin America and so much more. Because no self respecting Mexican, Latin American or Canadian is ever going to step foot in America again. Like come on don't they see the news we can't even cross the border without hassarment or being detained for weeks if America boarder agent doesn't like you. I guess Hybe only wants rich fans to see their bands live. I know I am not alone on this. Thanks for letting me rant. submitted by /u/allbluemarimo [link] [comments]

Honestly, it breaks my heart to see that "I Miss My..." and especially DOREMI aren’t getting even a fraction of the attention they deserve. PURPLE KISS came back with such a beautiful concept — stunning visuals, a super creative choreography, and a title track that blends nostalgia and freshness in such a unique way. The whole EP is solid, with a strong identity, incredible vocals, and top-tier production. But the views, streams, and sales… just don’t reflect that at all. And I can’t help but feel worried about the group’s future. We’ve seen how RBW has handled similar situations before, and I’m honestly scared that this could be a sign the end is getting closer. The girls are giving it their all, but without proper backing from the company and the public not catching on… what more can they do? I just really hope this isn’t the beginning of the end. PURPLE KISS deserves so much better. Now more than ever, they need our support. submitted by /u/Snowyy_ok [link] [comments]

this is something I’ve been wanting to ask. I’m new to Reddit so idk if this is appropriate for this sub but… I want to know what you guys call the members of your group. For example: the BTS members are called tannies, I think le sserafim members are the fimmies, katseye it’s the katz(?), BP it’s the pinks and illit it’s illies i think. is there a version of this for other groups as well? I’m curious. submitted by /u/uncrankyvalley [link] [comments]
Just want to be clear: this is NOT a doompost. I just wanted to share my thoughts. Itzy are FAR from unsuccessful, they're in a stable position and have cemented themselves in the industry now. Also, sorry if this is worded weirdly, English is not my first language ❤ Before GWBG was released, a lot of people were hoping that they would release a song like imaginary friend. But imaginary friend was not as successful as their previous releases that were louder, chantier and more dance focused. It was arguably one of their best received tracks till date, but the numbers showed their past releases were more marketable. Imaginary friend was a song with a genre they never tried before as well, I think that may have been a factor in why Gold was released first, so that they had a title track that was stronger to promote and fall back on. Itzy going back to their roots and producing fast-paced dance music like GWBG (which I like to think is a song that could be Not Shy and Untouchable's baby lol) instead of an elegant, slow song like IF was really expected and a good decision as it shows off their strengths (dance and performance) so well. Their vocals are very stable live despite all that dancing because the song is in their range so not difficult for them to sing. This way, they can get praise and attention for their performing whilst avoiding criticism for unstable vocals. Their MV was gorgeous and the message of the song was consistent with their past releases + had the message they wanted to convey. The song is so ITZY coded, and it's getting annoying seeing people pretend they're concerned about the girls and use that "pity" to drag them down as individuals. ITZY have always released this kind of music. The only reason people bash them and want the "old itzy" back is because the girls THEMSELVES have changed from 6 years ago. They're genuinely so unproblematic and clearly work so hard that it's sad to see the mean comments that bring them down that are being justified because 'every release since sneakers is trash' when those people probably haven't listened to any music past 2022 to even find out. Anyways, sorry for the rant :) I'm aware that there's bigger problems in the world, just wanted to share my thoughts lol submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]
There has been a lot of discourse from IVE fans calling out KPOP Demon Hunters for not crediting or acknowledging IVE for being used heavily as a reference. Not only are the songs Golden and I Am quite similar but the song’s visual sequences in the movie seem to take heavy references from the I Am and Love Dive music videos as well (lots of similiar shots and imagery relating to airplanes, dancing on airplanes, riding in a flying car, billboards, the catwalk, and more). Because there are so many similarities, people have been been making IVE x KDH edits and mashups from day one points to note: -some think it’s unnecessary to give credit because Huntrix is not a real group \ -some have accused IVE of being clout chasers for making a tiktok/short covering Golden with I Am’s choreo instead of with Golden’s choreo (since day one, a ton of people have been covering Golden with I Am’s choreo because of the similarities)\ -some people don’t see any similarities at all in the songs or music videos or think they are too common to be acknowledged \ -Director Maggie Kang has allegedly been very active on social media talking about inspirations and has been frequently interacting with and shouting out many groups that have talked about the movie or covered the songs. Meanwhile IVE members have also mentioned the movie multiple times and have also covered Golden and Soda Pop\ -Many popular groups like BP, Twice, Itzy, BTS, Stray Kids, Monsta X, Ateez, etc have been cited as influences \ -some IVE fans have started attacking/shading Maggie Kang and the movie on social media\ -some are calling it plagiarism (maybe as a joke but idk) personally, i won’t go as far as to say it’s plagiarism. it’s supposedly a mishmash of a lot of different things. but as an IVE fan i kinda do think that A LOT of the references are from IVE? At least enough similarities for an acknowledgement or mention from the creators right? I AM was a pivotal era that brought a lot of success but also a lot of tears and struggles for IVE (Rei went on hiatus, wonyoung got multiple stitches from injuries while filming the music video, multiple members have talked about what a difficult time it was, etc). it would be nice for them and their team’s artistry and hardwork be acknowledged by the people who are currently seeing such incredible success from it. I think it also would calm down a lot of Dives who feel so strongly about it. HOWEVER i also think some fans are overstepping by cyberbullying the creators because of it. thoughts? do you think IVE is being blatantly ignored? should they be acknowledged? or do you think fans are overreacting? and is it parasocial to care about how art is referenced? submitted by /u/yj_12345678 [link] [comments]
Okay, confession time: I always knew ATEEZ was impressive, especially considering they’re from a smaller company, but I never really bothered to checked out their full discography. My first introduction to them was through Guerilla, and honestly, I didn’t love it (I still don't), so I kind of just left it at that. Then the Golden Hour trilogy happened, and wow, I am hooked. The title tracks from that era have been on repeat for weeks, and it finally pushed me to dive deeper into their music. And honestly, I can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on them this whole time. I regret not paying attention sooner, especially since they’ve had concerts in my country recently, and I missed the chance to see them live. 😬 Some of my faves now are: Cyberpunk, Answer, Treasure, (the entire Golden Hour trilogy, obviously), HALAZIA, and Dancing with Butterfly Wings. And the thing is, I heard snippets from HALAZIA ages ago, but I wasn’t really impressed by it. Now, I can’t stop listening to it. The choreo keeps you glued to the screen as well, by the way. Long story short: don’t write off groups after only listening to a handful of their songs. You might miss out big time. submitted by /u/o-Themis-o [link] [comments]
