everytime im on twt i see accounts and they have posts like “XYZ dating” or “so so is a bad person” “XYZ don’t like each other “ and ppl in the comments are actually taking it seriously or are discussing it. i mean i don’t care, but do these pages have any foundation? are they legit…. to me it’s weird and borderline sasaeng- a LOT of people want insider information but deny it. just a thought i had because i see them ALL the time, and sure a couple were accurate like predicting tours or albums, but private dating rumours or friendships ? i don’t know but just wanted to know what everyone else thought submitted by /u/sonotmeanttobe [link] [comments]
For me, it was in a random and indirect way. After the pandemic, I honestly didn’t have any friends, anymore. It was a really lonely time. But through K-pop, I ended up meeting new people who introduced me to a new circle, and I made new friends. If that happened today, not much would really change, if I’m being totally honest. But back then? I definitely needed it, was a rough year. submitted by /u/Striking-Meal-5257 [link] [comments]
So I made a post of how I actually thought the toxicity of the industry has reached his peak the past few years and some people actually told me that I feel like that because of my feed so I wanna know how to totally remove that type of negativity from my feeds submitted by /u/Cultural_Nose_2280 [link] [comments]
I'll go first. It's when the group's name is soo bad and includes numbers and another one for me would be boring members and what I mean is none of the members have character like personality and also a big one too is chemistry submitted by /u/Different_Bad1244 [link] [comments]
I literally don't know where I could get help to find it but here 😣 but in the beginning of the music video one of the girls fall off a building and land on a car. There is another part where one of the girls spin really fast on a pole and flys off. Also another girl sets a house on fire and another girl gets mad and restarts time submitted by /u/Any_End_5158 [link] [comments]

Both the groups debut was in August... I was shocked to see the difference in production between commas MV and Go MV. Cortis shot a MV themselves then the official MV was shot with proper crew. Even the one shot by cortis themselves is more interesting than what commas official MV.. and that's sad, considering these girls are super talented and waited a whole year for THIS. JYPE i feel spends less as it is on their artists and here they spent like pennies... This was their first global group. The song is also meh for me for a group that was in dungeon for a year. On the other hand cortis had 2 month song camp in LA where they composed 300 songs. Even behind the scenes documentary is good. And these two are the big 4 august debuts... It's just sad. Jyp spend some money on these girls please submitted by /u/Big_Nebula2755 [link] [comments]
I’m new to K-pop and just watched Pop Star Academy on Netflix. It made me curious about the training system and what really goes on behind the scenes. I’m not interested in polished idol success stories or gossip. I’d love something raw and honest about the trainee experience, especially for people who don’t debut. Ideally a first hand account or memoir. I don’t mind if the story is by an anonymous author. Needs to be available in English (translation is fine). submitted by /u/sine_nomine1234 [link] [comments]
I mean this in terms of groups and soloists. Like who do you think is gonna become really popular in 2025 Q4 and 2026? I think rescene is gonna become like the next big gg in Korea at least. Bg wise I think CORTIS will be big but that's more because hybe being hybe. ADP will keep gaining traction in Korea and I'd hazard to say they'd get solo tracks. submitted by /u/cobiestulips [link] [comments]
I keep seeing people say “now that we’re in 5th gen” or “6th generation” and I’m like BUT WASNT IT JUST 4TH??? WHO decides these things?? I heard somewhere that it’s when there’s a distinct shift in the music trends. For example NewJeans popularizing the short songs, easy listening phase of kpop. So is there like a set thing? Is it truly 6th gen yet? Has everyone just agreed on it? submitted by /u/anonymous_human174 [link] [comments]
this is not a winter hate post!!! i just miss aespa's old sound and upon comparing, winter's line delivery is one of the most obvious changes. in some parts it's okay, most parts it's not to my liking. like, for me, there's a clear difference between sounding sexy and trying to sound sexy by whispering. submitted by /u/Longjumping-Brick133 [link] [comments]
I have so many fav performances that I can't really choose one, there are so many talented idols out there... when in doubt, put Jyp Papi submitted by /u/pinkyfroggyy [link] [comments]

I’ve been a K-pop Stan since 2017 and even though you had fandoms wars and toxic fandoms it was still kind of fun and not overly toxic. But I’be noticed that since 2023 the level of toxicity as reached its peak?? It’s not only the fandoms anymore it’s the idols the companies the managers and everything on his whole I’m not talking about all the idols or all the companies but you get my point I don’t wanna go deeper in this topic but we really gotta speak up cause this is becoming too much submitted by /u/Cultural_Nose_2280 [link] [comments]

I am a casual listener of Illit. I really enjoyed some of their songs like midnight fiction, magnetic, Tick-Tack and Jellyous. I did not enjoy theit last 2 title tracks. But Initially I saw a ot of ppl were comparing them to new jeans and even accused them of copying new jeans, but with the passage of time I can see a lot of people have changed their perspective and are now supporting them and say new jeans had y2k aesthetic and Illit is Dream core....Ik y2k was a very popular asthetic in early 2000s ... But what is dreamcore? I will tell you my observation ....to me illit songs and their mv is very video gamey or some thing like magical world ....but idk how to describe....can you tell me what is illit's concept excatly and and what do you think about their creative direction in future? submitted by /u/Due_Collection_3363 [link] [comments]
I'm bit burnt out watching idols/groups youtube content but Somi's own YouTube channel, IMOS, is really breath of fresh air. (i dont really even watch all her videos on her main channel but will watch every video on her IMOS channel. She just hit 100k subscribers so wanted do a post! I dont think many know about her own own YouTube channel, as its quite recent. Pretty much every comment is in Korean so i dont think its popping for international fans. She has her 'Somi official channel' where all her idol stuff goes but she made couple months ago new channel. It's was more raw and way more like regular youtuber channel. She really have the personality for this, she is pretty chaotic and entertaining. Ofc some might prefer more chill stuff but im sucker for watching really extra people who are opposite of myself. She has videos about make up, hauls, stuff with her sister, gym stuff, even cleaning. She has very bright persona and this is really great medium for her. She is hilarious and very extra. As a big ioi girly (hence the username) i highly recommend this video where she tells us stories about produce days! It's probably my favorite on her channel. If you like seeing idol do their own make-up i recommend this one, she does like 4 quick make-up routines in the car. Love to see her passion about make-up. Interested in how successful idol decorates their home? Then this one is for you Enjoy Japan hauls, then most recent one might be for you Curious about her GYM routine, then this one If you like hearing her talk to her idol friends about her channel, then her first video might be for you Tbh every topic is quite fun due to her personality. Give it a go if you are looking something to watch! submitted by /u/ioigirly [link] [comments]
Illit released their new JP single Toki Yo Tomare which means "Time, please stop!". I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from it because Almond Chocolate (Their first JP OST) wasn't really my style as it was too slow for my liking but Toki Yo Tomare pleasantly surprised me. It was cute, fresh, nostalgic, and most importantly so painfully Illit! I feel like Illit's color and niche is the idyllic and rich imagination of young girls who love to invest themselves in the magical world of shoujo, romance, fashion, and interpersonal relationships. As more and more time goes on, their team is doing a wonderful job sculpting this out and Toki Yo Tomare was a perfect continuation of that. I could almost imagine hearing it in a silly shoujo slice of life highschool anime comedy. Anyways, I highly recommend you guys check it if you love cute and nostalgic things. submitted by /u/Nynasa [link] [comments]
