I'm surprised people aren't talking about this more Her monthly Spotify listener count that amassed 28M peak listeners dropped to 17M only. That's like under 40% in drop in last four years, since her Lalisa and Money release, and seems to keep dropping 2021: This is the Lalisa/Money era where she is at 28M 2024: this year seems understandable seems there isn't much activity and rise of NewJeans, etc 2025: this is Alter Ego release year at Feb and it gave Lisa a temporary spike to 18M but months later she's now at 17M I think one big contributor is directly competing in US market is just a whole different ballgame know she is new, but I hope she will still listen to old fans like me who would want to listen to her new songs and not just be stuck to her stuff from BP. The genre and style is just too vast from her kpop stuff Now, I think what Lisa must do is at least find a different writer or write songs that combines Western style and Kpop style But still, I'm happy for Lisa, as for her line from FUTW "They want the old LISA, then listen to my old shit" indicating she doesn't really care and will do what she wants, and those who will listen will stay. But I just hope Lisa will do more balance in her future projects, go back to her roots a bit and still stay to her Western stuff. Though, There's this one song I like though is "When I'm with You by Tyla", it gives off this RnB feel and great balance of her singing and rapping submitted by /u/jp712345 [link] [comments]
i was looking on youtube and noticing that photocard trading is pretty common and popular, however, there's not really an "official" way to trade safely and easily. i was wondering if i made a website to help people trade and sell photocards, merch, albums, etc. would it be successful? also, what are some ideas to ensure that the sellers/traders are trustworthy? any and all advice is appreciated submitted by /u/TermOutrageous8512 [link] [comments]
As a male, we always get crushes on K-pop idols. But we never see girls getting crushes on K-pop idols. submitted by /u/Standard_Basil_5269 [link] [comments]

Like I saw some tweets about apparently Hoshi from SVT liked a shady post about how SVT should've won in 2019 over BTS for mma award, what is going on between this fandom beef? 😭 submitted by /u/Impressive_Mode_9993 [link] [comments]
So I'm a major Girl group stan with only 2-3 boy groups that I listen to casually. I don't like very tough and masculine songs. I also don't like very rap heavy songs ( some rap is fine ofc I like Skz and Ateez). I'm looking for songs like Halazia from Ateez or like FNF from Skz. I want something either sensual, desperate, full of emotions and longing or maybe just a happy bop. For the record - I like GGs like Aespa, IVE, LSF and ILLIT etc. so something badass yet soulful is appreciated. I don't like songs like Ateez's Real? ( Is that it's name?) Or SKZ rapline songs. Halazia, Can't you see me, Don't wanna cry, FNF etc are the examples of the type of songs I like. Could you guys please recommend me some? submitted by /u/Clamrubber28 [link] [comments]
What i mean by real competition is they're the only 4th gen gg from big 3 at the time, YG and SM haven't debut their 4th gen GG yet plus hybe didn't even exist at the time. Their only competition back then only izone, everglow and idle but izone is temporary group and only big in East Asia and idle from midtier label plus they only got big after queendom while everglow company is big in China but they midtier in Korea and they only popular International plus their album sales is pretty low. I feel like they started to lost a bit of their hype the moment SM debuted aespa and after the massive success of next level they started to going downhill and then they really lost a lot of the attention the moment hybe debuted newjeans and lesserafim. Keep in mind that this is just my observation feel free to correct me or add something submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]
my first thought would be jaemin. he is my bias and he’s just perfect at keeping the parasocial relationship with fans (that’s the main point of being an idol let’s be honest) while also separating his idol life from personal life. which idol comes to your mind? submitted by /u/sunsetky [link] [comments]

So like the titles says, I made a poll of some of 2022 rookie girl groups about which of them will have long careers ahead of them. You guys know them: Le Sserafim, IVE, NMIXX, Kep1er, and NewJeans. Le Sserafim, IVE, and NMIXX. Those groups I was expecting them to have long careers, at least till the end of their contact that is. And so far, they’re doing their thing. But the irony here is between Kep1er and NewJeans. In 2022, you would think that Kep1er would have the short career and NewJeans the longer one, but it’s ironically vice versa. I know the latter is still a group, but I have my doubts that they will ever return. I don’t think anyone would have even thought Kep1er would renew their contracts. And the comments were telling me that contract renewals were out of the question. It was kinda dumb of me to put them on the poll, as they were supposedly a temporary group. But lo and behold, they renewed their contracts over a year ago (not all of them though). And then we have NewJeans. We pretty much have an idea of what’s going on, so I’m not going to explain it. But what I will say is that part of me was thinking they were too good to be true, and I seem to be right so far. Well, I just wanted to go back to that post and update myself on where those groups stand now. submitted by /u/Balbuena5 [link] [comments]
It's been like 8 months since their last korean comeback. Half of this year they only did tours so i'm really excited for this. Base on the trailer, majority seem to especulate that it would be cyberpunk theme while others (like me) is seeing that they will lean on video game type. But who knows? Most of the time, jype don't even follow the trailers (up till now i still dont get why they are asking "who ate the luck" LMAO). Regardless, i'm really happy it's a full album since skz always goes all out with that. submitted by /u/syezin [link] [comments]
