"Nobody watches that horrible quality video anyway!!" 1 it's 2025 phones don't have 2010 potato quality anymore 2 I literally rewatch my concert videos all the time. As do many other people. I actually regret not filming much at my first 2 kpop concerts "I'm too distracted dancing jumping and waving my lightstick and screaming" Congratulations you're more annoying than people filming their favorite songs. The obnoxious banshee screeching royally pisses me off like stfu! "People can't possibly enjoy the concert through a screen" Most people don't film the whole concert, and if they do so what? I film any VCRs, the moment the group comes out + first song, my favorite songs and then the encore + when the group says their goodbyes. I have a good balance going where I'm not always filming and even when I am filming I'm not really looking at the screen much because I can pretty steadily film while watching the group with my eyes submitted by /u/PrinceGunwook [link] [comments]
Look, Iâve been a Blink since 2020, a little bit before Ice Cream came out. I survived the hiatus before Born Pink, but this, THIS is just lazy and pathetic from YG. We donât even know if an album EXISTS and the song we are getting has no official release date and is going to be filmed through fan recordings at a concert. If this is how Blackpinkâs next comeback will be in five years or ten years, they should just disband after this one and never release group music again, because this is just pathetic and embarrassing. Blinks are the laughing stock of the KPop community because we donât get shit from our favorites, and thereâs Blinks that will condone this behavior from YG. Hopefully this is their last tour/song/comeback. đ submitted by /u/CosmicCuriosity04 [link] [comments]
jin from bts joshua from seventeen jaehyun from boynextdoor My biases are Jin from BTS, Joshua from SVT, and Jaehyun from Boynextdoor. They're visuals but have a boyfriend vibe/are baby girl coded and they all speak at least some English so (in my delu mind) if I ever met them IRL I could at least have a conversation with them lol. submitted by /u/nopanicatthisdisco [link] [comments]
Hi this is my first post here. Tbh I don't even use reddit that much but as a kpop fan (not stan. There's a difference in my head loll) I have this unserious thought in my head that I'd just like to share/open for discussion I guess. I always hear other fans say how X idol is their bf/gf or Y idol is their wife/ husband and I just find it so hard to relate, especially nowadays. I won't lie, as someone who has been into kpop for about 8 years now I have had my idol crushes here and there, but I've found that since covid era something seems to have clicked in my brain that makes me unable to even JOKE about an idol being my partner much less being delulu about them. It probably has to do with my life situation rn. I'm not conventionally attractive (lowkey not even unconventionally), not even the same race as these men, broke, not in a great career field, living in a 3rd world country, plus I face other day to day living issues. When I think about even meeting them I imagine how cringe the interaction would be. Just liking them feels wrong somehow, like how dare I think about them that way? I feel like my perception of their existence is an insult in itself. This is likely a matter of low self esteem for sure, but I'm also being realistic. These dudes want someone on their level. They may be nice people, but I doubt they're gonna compromise when it comes to love. They're in an industry SURROUNDED by potential love candidates on their level physically, talent wise and personality wise. They would NOT want me, and that thought alone makes it difficult to be delulu or claim them as my one sided lover basically submitted by /u/EnvironmentLife4455 [link] [comments]
Prefacing this with an acknowledgement - a LOT was not set up for success at this show venue-wise. This is not intended to shame people who got sick. However⌠it didnât have to be as bad as it was. I was in the 100s and had an absolutely great time. Never felt sick, dizzy, or tired, never needed medical help, couldâve gone for the full show and still had a lot of fun. This isnât because Iâm somehow more tolerant of heat and humidity (I am absolutely not) but because I took care of myself. I really hope a lot of people take this show as a wake-up call - not along the lines of ânever go to a stadium showâ but more âyour health is THE priorityâ. Some things that I know made it possible for me - Starting to hydrate early. I drank electrolyte water and coconut water for a couple days before the show day. You canât just drink water when youâre thirsty, unfortunately. Stayed out of the sun and in air conditioning to not stress my body out the days before and on the show day. A lot of museums are free in DC! So is just vibing in a hotel room! Got to the venue late. Like, 6ish. Found a line in the shade. Used a little fan to increase airflow in the crowd. Stayed at the edge of the line to, again, not be trapped in a lot of body heat. Drank water on the way there and in line. Had a sealed bottle of water for during the show, and put electrolyte tablets in it. Refilled it during one of the breaks. Dressed for the weather. It was so hot. I had a long sports bra and a sports skort on with a loose shirt, and it was cute because I wasnât dying. I was still very sweaty. Sweaty is good! Again, I donât want this to come across as shaming. It is NOT. The venue set up a lot of things that were out of peopleâs control (exit bottlenecks, poor signage, running out of water) and the weather was unbelievable. But it canât all be blamed on the venue. The show would likely have ended early regardless - skz themselves looked rough (why did they keep the pyro, and go back to the newer costumes??) and enough people were having issues that I also felt it was unsafe. However, a whole lot of it could have been avoided by⌠Doing a tiny bit of research. If itâs going to be hot, and you donât know a lot about how to exist when itâs hot, Google is your friend. It wonât tell you anything big that common sense wonât (stay inside, drink water, air conditioning). It might give you something new (electrolyte tablets, signs of heat exhaustion, how to dress). This heatwave didnât take anyone by surprise. I got weather alerts every couple hours for days leading up to it. You had time to plan and adjust if you needed to. Waiting in line for merch outside the show. Your health and safety is not worth an evil skzoo shirt. Itâs just not! You know that! Staying in the sun (or the hot shade) for hours for freebie swaps, often from noon to showtime. I love freebies! Theyâre delightful! I traded while in line, later, in the shade. Wearing a concert fit that is unsafe. There were people in hoodies and jeans at the show. Pleather, legwarmers, head to toe black - I get that youâve planned your fit for weeks or months, but you have to adjust if it doesnât match reality, or youâll be so, so miserable. Not bringing water. So many people didnât bring enough water or didnât drink it because they were worried about losing their spot in line (for merch, for barricade, for entry). You have to care about your health. You HAVE to. The venue staff certainly wonât do it for you. I understand a lot of the gates apparently made people throw water away. Iâm really, really sorry. You need to get another one (or two) inside. Yes, itâll delay your getting to the barricade. Yes, itâll mean you might have to pee. Thatâs taking care of yourself. Iâm sorry it was $8 for a bottle of water. That sucks, too. Hospitalization or medical bills will cost more than $8. And I know this sounds privileged (Iâm sorry again) but if you canât afford to buy water in an emergency situation, you absolutely cannot afford to be at a concert. Not leaving when you start to feel ill. Iâve been in GA pits. Iâve been doing this for a while. By the time you feel sick, yeah, itâs probably too late - but my god, get out of the pit! There was plenty of time between soundcheck and the show starting to leave for a break - to sit in the shade, get more water, get medical help. And yeah, you wonât get your spot back. But youâll be alive and well, your brain wonât be cooked, and youâll get to enjoy the rest of the show. I GET it. I understand it feels impossible in the moment - you donât want to go to a refill station because thereâs a hundred people in line, and youâll miss two or three songs. You donât want to try to get out of the pit, because youâll never be that close again, and this is your first and maybe only chance. But I am absolutely shocked that nobody died from this. Like, people could be dead. People could have passed out and been crushed against the barricade or on the floor before limited medical staff could reach them. People could have stood up too fast, dropped, hit their head wrong on a chair or railing or step, and thatâs that. People were passing out down the stairs outside after the show ended and reportedly having seizures. Your body is horrifyingly fragile in too many ways, and even if you think this MIGHT be your only chance to see stray kids/be barricade/get an interaction, it will absolutely be your only chance if you become seriously injured or die. With that in mind, please start to put yourself first. Please. Nobody else can do it for you. submitted by /u/fujufilmfanaccount [link] [comments]

For me, it's BigBang. Before I did only enjoy a few of their songs, but i guess the scandal with S*ungry did affect their reputation and image a lot, to me at least, since thats what I mainly knew Big Bang for, sadly. Their music did sound nice, but I thought I shouldn't support them. Then Squid Game 2 came out, TOP seemed cool, and so I checked his former group along with their music, and I found that they had really nice songs and that the rest of the members aren't so bad. I totally love their sound and the members, and I can't wait to discover more about them :)). Too bad their albums expensive tho :(. some day though đ¸đ¸đ submitted by /u/Historical_Driver_87 [link] [comments]

for those of you who donât know, this week, ateez officially got their very first billboard hot 100 entry! their latest title track, lemon drop, entered the chart at #69 (obligatory âniceâ). this has been a goal for the members for a long timeâmingi, wooyoung, and yeosang have all mentioned it in the past as a goal for 2025, and after the news came out, every single member came online and expressed their gratitude in one way or another. like seonghwa said on lee mujin service, ateez has always reached new heights in a slow but steady manner, and itâs great to see that theyâve fulfilled yet another one of their goals in their 7th year. ateez has always been strong with their physical sales. despite all the problems with the physical album this comebackâlow quality packaging, production issues leading to delayed shipments, etcâthe # of units sold in the us was the highest for any kpop group in 2025 (105k units), allowing ateez to debut at #2 on the billboard 200 for the 3rd time (and for the 7th time in the top 10). a lot of fandoms are talking about how ateez were able to chart on the hot 100 mainly due to the cd sales rather than streams. personally, i think kq taking advantage of atinyâs physical buying power was smart. ateez may not have many casual listeners, but they do have a strong core fanbase who push for these achievements for them. for lemon drop, they had 4 separate cd versions, only for half of the members. many atinys across various platforms advocated for fans to buy these, even purchasing for international atinys in the hopes that ateez would end up on the chart. i assume the other half of the members will have cd versions for golden hour part 3 (in your fantasy edition) that they just announced today. i do wonder how this will shift hot 100 charting for kpop groups going forward. kq is not the first company to push for the hot 100 through cd sales (hybe did the same for le sserafimâs hot with 6 versions, for example), but now that ateez has successfully charted, perhaps other companies will try to do the same. cd sales do make up 35-45% of the criteria for charting on hot 100 so i donât think itâs a fraudulent tactic by any means. itâs also important to note that ateez also had many digital sales/downloads for lemon drop thanks to their strong fanbase. overall, congrats to ateez and atinys, and donât forget to tune into ateezâs upcoming repackage album, golden hour part 3 (in your fantasy edition), out july 11th 𫶠submitted by /u/Complex-Sherbet3201 [link] [comments]

This tour has been awful from the moment the tickets were released and GA was a thing ...also for $800 (in CAD give or take). Every single stop has had issues, people aren't getting their VIP experience just yesterday they closed the doors on people who arrived early and were waiting to get in for VIP in DC.They then had to cancel the show before the first encore because of how many people were throwing up and passing out. I don't understand how we're so many stops in and it's still so incredibly disorganized that people are missing the first half of the concert. The security staff have been nothing but rude and inappropriate to Stays at some stops, having people kicked out of pit because they found someone who weasled their way in "more attractive", not helping fans who are passed out and over charging for water are just some of the things that have happened. This is of course at NO FAULT to SKZ they handed out their OWN water to fans because security were doing nothing. I hope JYPE chooses another tour company because this tour is incomparable to the Maniac tour. submitted by /u/3rachannie [link] [comments]
For those who donât know, Stray Kids are currently on their world tour(DominATE) Theyâve already finished the shows in Asia, Oceania (Australia), and Latam, and right now theyâre wrapping up the North American leg. Next month, theyâll head to Europe for the final part. I think this tour is really tough on the members, especially because Felix has a herniated disc a condition heâs been dealing with for years now. Heâs getting treatment and trying to take things slow, and heâs been advised to tone it down, but of course itâs still really difficult for him. I think the North American dates are especially the hardest, considering there are 10 shows with very few rest days in between. Honestly, this tour has been full of issues. Iâm not sure if it was this bad during the Maniac tour last year, but this time itâs crazy. In Peru, for example, there were fans who couldnât even get inside the venue in time. People were stuck outside while Stray Kids were already performing their third song (or around that point). I remember reading Peruvian Stays posts about how poorly the situation was handled and how disappointed they were with the organization. There was also an overcrowding issue because they sold way too many PIT tickets more than the area could hold. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt, but the boys looked clearly stressed on stage trying to manage the situation. Whatâs crazy to me is how many times even this time it was Stray Kids who had to make sure people were safe. Itâs really admirable of them, you can tell they genuinely care about their fans, but honestly, it suck that theyâre the ones doing the staff job. Then came the North America leg, which in my opinion has been even worse. A lot of the venues were baseball stadiums and these places just arenât built for concerts. This caused thousands of fans to be stuck outside(again) even after the show had started. In Washington DC, there were even thousands of VIP ticket holders who missed most of the soundcheck because of this! Many people also complained about the sound and the bad visibility. Just recently in Washington, the concert had to be cut short because of extreme heat. Apparently over 200 people fainted. It was around 100-110°F (about 40-43°C perceived with the really high humidity) and the environment became dangerous. Honestly, Iâm grateful they canceled it. Iâd rather have the show stopped than see it end in tragedy. I really appreciate Stray Kids for putting their health and the fansâ safety first, because it looked like a serious emergency. But all of this has made me genuinely anxious about the European leg. Itâll be July, and it gets very hot in Europe too. Iâm an anxious person in general, and even though I love concerts, the months leading up to them are always stressful for me. Hearing about everything thatâs been going wrong is making things worse. I know rationally that checking social media constantly isnât helping, but I just canât stop. I feel like the more I know, the more control I have over the situation even if that sounds a bit irrational since they make me feel also worse. The idea of not having control over how things will go gives me so much anxiety. I keep researching everything, probably more than I should, just to make sure things might go better. One thing that kinda âcomfortsâ me is that the stadiums in Europe are mostly football/concert stadiums, of course it wonât be perfect, theyâre still stadiums, not arenas it will be really hot anyway, I just hope they will handle things better. Still, all of this has made me realize I have to worry not only about rain and storms, but also about extreme heat that could cancel everything. I am trying to be at least neutral but itâs really not easy right now, right now I hope that the last 2 dates in North America will be better. submitted by /u/ForceApprehensive597 [link] [comments]
