i actually really like her voice, it gives me "old romance" vibes i guess, sounds particular, mature and wise and its beautiful like this, but alongside with Lisa, Jennie and Rosé, i feel like she doesnt fit well in BlackPink songs somehow; i like her much more as a soloist no hate, only love for all the 4 Queens as you can see, both musically and as idols overall, i just wanted to share this opinion yeah thats it, lmk if its only me or someone ever happened to think the same submitted by /u/NicolasAntinarella [link] [comments]
So, I've been listening to kpop since about 2017-2018. Red Velvet's Bad Boy was my first song/video. I was hooked immediately. I'm old and grew up in the late '70s- '80s. Funny thing is, I'm a die hard metalhead (everything from Iron Maiden to Lorna Shore.) So to my point, never really listened to them until the album came out. Every song is perfection. Drop Top and Toxic are my two favorites. I just wanted to share my love for them and look forward to great things from them. submitted by /u/Chewphoria78 [link] [comments]

If you don’t already know, TXT released The Star Chapter: TOGETHER yesterday as their 4th full album, and my jaw is actually on the floor. I started being a fan of them right before they released The Chaos Chapter: Freeze (also one of the best k-pop albums ever in my opinion), which set the bar pretty high for me in terms of album quality. The song variety is amazing (e.g. No Rules, 0X1=LOVESONG, and Frost), and yet they were able to keep up the same consistent message/vibe throughout each song on the album, make it sound cohesive and also diverse, and all the songs are well-produced and enjoyable to listen to. I’ve been loving the music that they’ve released since then too, but I haven’t really experienced the same blown-away feeling that I felt with Freeze, and I was starting to think it was just one of those feelings you get with your first comeback with a group. Until yesterday when I felt it again with The Star Chapter: TOGETHER. I will say, the current trend in the music industry seems to be making songs that are closer to 2:00-2:30 instead of 2:30-3:00 long, which applies to this album as well and may put some people off, but in my opinion the song quality is so good here that you can almost forgive the track lengths. Like Freeze, the songs are very diverse in genre (Upside Down Kiss, Sunday Driver, Song of the Stars for example), and although there are some songs in this album that I wouldn’t necessary consider “my taste” in music, I still somehow find myself enjoying them a lot and wanting to listen to them often. They have also done a really good job with making this album sound cohesive: although it may feel like the messages jump around a lot, listening to Beautiful Strangers near the beginning and finishing with Song of the Stars makes you feel like you’ve just been on a journey you don’t even remember starting, and I will say I have cried more than once listening to the album top to bottom. Obviously everyone has different tastes and opinions, and you may listen to this album and only enjoy 1 or 2 songs from it, but personally I just wanted to shine a light on how good this album is as an album together and not just a collection of songs. I highly recommend anyone who’s interested to give this album a listen from start to finish. submitted by /u/Successful_Key8662 [link] [comments]
for context bts won mama 2019 best performance (they had a MAMA award sweep that year). the criteria for the award is 40% judges, 30% music sales, 20% voting and 10% record sales. boy with luv was the obvious winner carats are hyping him up for this. do you think this was shade? will provide the link for the reel in comments submitted by /u/JinnieP [link] [comments]

I have quite a few. I love when companies or just groups bring out a very unique group of people who just fit in together . 1) BSS - I sometimes forget how by chance they were made, by the members themselves. 2 main vocalists and a main dancer and they're hilarious. They are so canon. Sons of orange caramel Fav song- LUNCH (nothing beats it, really) 2) Orange Caramel - my favourite quirky trio. I still watch their performances. Again, perfect- main vocalist, main dancer and main rapper in one unit and they are iconic 3) Misamo - Beautiful songs, beautiful ladies, really good concept. I really like them even though I have never really deep dived into twice. submitted by /u/pinkbraboo [link] [comments]
I'll start How are we feeling about GOLDEN? I saw Rumi got alot of lines again. I love her either way but I hope Mira can showcase her vocals more same with Zoey Oh yeah and that fire on Saja Boys disbandment stage looked awfully real. I wonder where the company got the budget from and they kind of remind me of a boy group that didn't take off, Minus Jinu it is just the other four but I have no way of knowing that, I also don't remember said group name submitted by /u/sunshineofkindness [link] [comments]

I don’t know how HYBE plans to debut 3 new groups all within 5 months of each other but shouldn’t we have at least heard about the new girl groups from Source Music and Pledis. I think it’s a weird strategy to debut 2 girl groups and a boy group back to back. Maybe they’re hoping for a Le Sserafim/NewJeans situation where both groups debuted close but each exploded in popularity and are at the top of their generation. I think they should give estimated debut times of the groups because they released that the big hit boy group is debuting on August 18th, and it’s better to announce their debuts now before year end award shows steal everyone’s attention. submitted by /u/PandaTokki17 [link] [comments]
