I've noticed this ever since I watched their first survival show iland, when the show was still airing i remember very well at that time the fans made a petition to debut enhypen as ot13 with K, hanbin, geonu, daniel, nicholas and taki. they even did a fundraiser to make billboards and placed them in many places including in front of the hybe's old building for the executives to see, i'm sure they did see it but didn't care and still debuted enhypen as ot7. Same with runext when fans threaten to boycott the group if hybe debut the minors wonhee and iroha instead of the big6 that they always wanted which is chanelle, jiwoo, minju, jeemin, yunah and yeongseo but hybe didn't care and still debuted the minors. What you guys think about the way they never listen to fans demand when forming a group? Do you think its good thing or bad? Me personally prefer that way because they're expert and im just a fan submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

“Love Your W' is a campaign that started in 2006, and for 20 years, it has been trying to spread awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. However, in light of campaign reasons, the composition and progress of the event on October 15th was not appropriate, however, and we are taking this seriously. Above all, I would like to express my deepest apologies for the inconvenience and hurt caused by not taking into consideration the position of breast cancer patients and their families. Also, I am sorry if you think that many of you who participated with a good heart in the campaign and participated in the controversy have been uncomfortable. Thinking of everyone who has been affected by this event. Looking back at our imperfections. During the past years, at the core of this campaign has been the activities of the Korea Breast Health Foundation, which raises awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and supports low-income surgeries, and the support of those who have shown warm interest in sponsoring the campaign. I'll continue to look at the parts that lack various criticisms and points based on the ground, so that their affectionate young sincerity doesn't lose its light. In light of this work, I will thoroughly review the previous process of event planning and execution. Thank you.” submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
Idk if I’m (24F) the only person that feels this way but do you guys ever watch your fav kpop idols or groups and see all of the content they create from music, performances, variety shows, and brand events and feel like you’re not doing enough in your life?? I’ve been feeling like this a lot lately, and maybe it’s because I’m not happy with the way my life is right now and I’m not doing things that I love. I feel so exhausted physically and mentally whenever I come back from grad school or my part time job, thinking what’s the point of all this if it doesn’t make me happy and not lead me to the life I’ve always dreamed about? Sometimes I think how do these kpop idols do all these things and not feel burnt out? Is it because they’re doing something they love as work? Because even if that’s the case, they are constantly getting overworked and I wonder how they do it, how they manage to push forward and get the work done. Especially if they do training or are an active idol while going to school or college. Like how can people who are younger than me do all of these amazing great things while I struggle to do basic stuff that normal people my age do (ex: having a job, doing chores, working out, having hobbies and a social life)?? If you read through this post, thank you and let me know what you think about this topic 💗 submitted by /u/Princesspussy911 [link] [comments]
For some weird reason, there's some idol that their last name somehow stuck and known to non-fans. Like, Jay Park Mark Lee Jackson Wang Cha Eunwoo (technically Cha is not his real last name but you get the gist) submitted by /u/Personal_Damage6616 [link] [comments]
My ult recently is Baekhyun and I just realized his name got 8 letters. EIGHT. Every time I type it I lose a calorie. Why can’t I stan someone short like Lisa or Kai???! I had to fall for Baekhyun “8-freaking-letters” Byun. Anyway who got it worse?? Longest stage name u can think of?? So far I only got Heuning Kai (10 letters with a space) and I’m grinning just thinking abt how his fans typing that daily 💀 submitted by /u/Personal_Damage6616 [link] [comments]
This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I adore the ‘Fatal Love’ album by Monsta X… except for ‘Love Killa’ there were just so many incredible songs on that album and that’s the title track you pick?? I’ll never understand it. What’s an album that you love with all your heart except for one song? (Doesn’t have to be the title track, mine just happened to be) submitted by /u/Strawberry_0cean [link] [comments]
At least admit it. It is the least you could do submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
I’ve been thinking about relatability branding for a while but the whole situation with riize’s concert being cancelled kinda pushed me to talk about it now and also I’ve been thinking about this in relation to new jeans. This might be a bit long so I’m sorry in advance lol We all know that kpop is a visual focused medium like the appeal of it is to see pretty people dancing and singing with beautiful visuals to back the music up, and because there are so many groups branding becomes a way to make yourself stand out from the crowd. At the time riize debuted, boy groups weren’t really doing the whole “we’re friends who make music” thing, I think they were the progenitors to this and for that reason they gained a huge amount of attention in the west. People now like to deny it and say that their main focus was always Asian countries but anyone who was there when riize debuted could see that SM were trying something different with them, to capture the western market and it was working. People were really drawn to their branding of being college boys who were best friends that just happened to make music. Similarly (or exactly alike) New Jeans also burst onto the scene with the same branding a year prior. More than their y2k influenced aesthetics, their branding of being high school girls who were besties that made music together captured the public because of how authentic it seemed. Everything from their choreo to the way they presented themselves in videos pushed this relatability aspect. However, both these groups suffered scandals in which their branding, which previously was what made them stand out, worked as a detriment to them more than it would have had they had different branding. Riize had a member leave because of his history of dating which completely shattered people’s perception of them being normal guys who made music together and exposed the giant cooperation behind them manufacturing this image. As for New Jeans, well, I think we all know that the legal issues they got involved with completely shattered the uniform public perception of them. For both of these groups, it wouldn’t matter if they decide to continue on with the same branding or if they release the same good music in the future, the magic that their relatable branding established for them has been shattered. Of course, nothing with New Jeans has really been decided and Riize are only their third year in, but their momentum has been halted nonetheless. I don’t have empirical data for this but I honestly believe that if it had been any other group with any other branding (that wasn’t aimed to be relatable), they wouldn’t have experienced this level of backlash. For these groups, it was the magic of believing they were just like you that kept the public’s interest and once that was broken there’s no getting it back. Time will tell but it was interesting to me that the branding that originally made these groups stand out was also what contributed to the hardships they would/will face in trying to recover from the “scandals” submitted by /u/irenemins [link] [comments]

Just attending the event is not enough. It is the least you can do when attending a fancy charity event with a free dinner to just shoutout the thing the event is for. It is also just the good right thing to do. And saying "well, it did not hurt anybody" is not a good excuse. If you honestly think nothing can be morally bad or wrong without that thing having hurt someone... Also people were hurt by it. It was easy awareness that would have been spread to millions that now wasn't. That can and absolutely will affect people. This info is useful. There is no excuse. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]
