I’ve been wondering if other major companies like YG or SM might try forming global girl groups in the future not just groups with Korean members who trained abroad, but ones that include more diversity like KATSEYE and VCHA, with members from different countries and backgrounds. Both groups add a new layer of diversity to K-pop, and I’m curious whether that’ll become a wider trend or if projects like these were more of a one-time experiment by HYBE and JYP. What do you all think? submitted by /u/yourlovelyperson [link] [comments]
I don’t usually defend idols because I actually have a life and don’t have time to hate on anyone or defend anyone on the internet, but I’m sick and tired of ppl who keep criticizing idols without actual evidences. I totally get why ppl r mad at the idols who attended the event because they didn’t speak about the cancer and it seemed like they were just there to “party”. But. Dont. PPL. Just. Love. To. Make. Assumptions… How do you know that they didn’t donate? How do you know that they don’t care??? Ppl are never happy, if they posted ab their donations, it's considered showing off, if they didn't, then it means they didn't donate?!? Trust me they’re popular and busy enough to NOT have to be there for the fames. However, I do agree that there were some quite inappropriate actions like why were they filming tiktok trends, twerking on stage, and most importantly, drinking alcohol. BUT u guys have to admit, it’s not the idols fault there was alcohols at the event (not to mention that there couldve been some other drinks there but some ppls r NOT ready for that convo yet...), and yall know how strict the kpop industry is, everything they do on cam is mostly scripted, especially the interviews (ur not real if u don't believe this) so rlly, if ur gonna blame them, blame their company/manager/the organizer too for not preparing it properly. U guys know damn well they're all MATURE ADULTS, and especially bc they're Kpop idols, they get criticized for the smallest things possible so why tf would they be this dumb and ruin their careers? Also, do yall expect them to sit there and sob bc it's a cancer event? I agree they should've talked about it more but like i said, the organizer should've planned it better and like picked someone to make a speech or smth, u can't just blame everyone who was present at the event and not the organizer itself. And the thing about how no one wore pink, I'm pretty sure they had no say in what they could wear bc it was all up to the brands they represent. Before anyone argues, if they did have a say in what they could wear, there wouldn't be any wardrobe incidents (e.g. txt batman outfits, aespa power rangers outfits, etc...) One more thing, why tf did yall just ASSUME that Giselle was drunk? There are thousands of possibilities of what could've happened that made her trip but no, ppl just love to hate on her and Aespa in general. To summarize, yes there were some BIG flaws, BUT ppl can't just make assumptions ab everything and start hating everyone. Keep in mind that they were INVITED, if anything, it was the organizer's fault for not being more mindful. Ik some idols r getting praised for spreading awareness (e.g. wonhee, rei...) but u have to understand that some ppl might just want to donate/contribute in silence. U don't know everyone's full story so just stop assuming pls. submitted by /u/No_Froyo_1395 [link] [comments]

I wonder what you guys think of her. First, she feeder herself some botox and plastic surgeries out of insecurities, second she unfollowed YG and 2ne1, third she filed lawsuit against them for embezzlement with a random gibberish numbers, and so much things... i get it that she's going through a lot like emotional and mentally but why would you affect it to your mates and peers, especially on work? I wonder if she's still good after everything she's been acting lately. She even claimed as Lee Min Ho's girlfriend. submitted by /u/Impressive-Tower8279 [link] [comments]
That’s right you’ve read correctly, a 4th Gen idol has been active in the idol industry for 14 years!! And the idol is —- Sakura!! Happy 14th to this wonderful and resilient woman! It is crazy to think that Sakura debuted in Kpop terms / era during late 2nd Gen - early 3rd Gen yet she’s only 27! Try to wrap your head around the fact that she’s a sunbae to most if not all of 3rd Generation which is crazy! 😬 submitted by /u/jwookie30 [link] [comments]
I would trade a bg if it meant that hyeju would reactivate her Instagram 💔 which idol(s) do you find yourself missing a little extra? submitted by /u/0x1trinity [link] [comments]
Once upon a time TWICE had an absurdly hard vocal song that was also an absurdly hard dancing song, and Momo got a lot of flack and hate for an encore of a music show performance for being off key. (I really thought it was More & More, correct me if I’m wrong, but the point stands no matter which song it was). And today, two or three years later, I see a live performance by TWICE for a different song (can’t remember which, it was the video for the full TIMA performance and one of the songs in it) and Momo is so fucking stable, so fucking confident, and we can fully hear her?? I’m a god damned sucker for an underdog or a rags to riches story, and Momo is gonna get even richer singing like that. Im not hyping her up unnecessarily, like I know she’s no Adele or Taeyeon. But I genuinely love her tone and her voice, and seeing her use it with confidence is just so fucking cool. Improvement and progress are real! Lady worked hard and she sounds great! If you’re struggling with singing, keep working at it!!! I’m a true believe in skill over talent, and she’s clearly building skill where natural talent lacked. Who do you think has improved the most in your favorite group? (: keep the love an appreciation going!! submitted by /u/According_Abies_4087 [link] [comments]
Mine are the other BTS members singing " V! Nuga nareul magado (What?) Naui gal gireul gandago (What?) Insaeng han bangirago Let go (Let go!) Let go-o-o-o Dan harureul sarado (What?) Huhoeneun jeoldaero eopdago (What?) Han beon ttwieobojago Let's jump! (Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump!)" from their song Jump to V. I wish they would do it more. submitted by /u/Awkward_Benefit665 [link] [comments]
Especially people who are fans of their other girl groups. Shouldn't you be concerned about the possibility of those girls being subjected to the same mistreatment behind the scenes, especially the ones who are minors? Bom is unwell but what she said can be corroborated by reading Minzy's interview with Billboard, or looking at the numerous clips of YG himself insulting the girls' appearances and telling them they should put on makeup. It's a fairly small amount of people, but they're vocal and the lack of solidarity in a situation that requires it is so unsettling. submitted by /u/3urodyne [link] [comments]
why is their many k-pop stans who say “this song is trash” or “this group makes bad music” — and i just find it so weird?? to songs that aren’t bad/ groups that don’t make bad music?? like sometimes a song just doesn’t fit your personal taste, and that’s completely fine, but that doesn’t automatically mean it’s bad music. every group has their own sound and identity. it might not be something you enjoy, but that doesn’t mean it’s “bad.” i feel like people forget that there’s a difference between something being not for you and something actually being bad. i honestly don’t think any group in k-pop makes “bad” music — some styles just don’t match everyone’s ears, and that’s okay. not everything has to be your vibe for it to still be good in its own way but the people who’s reasons for not liking or being into certain groups is they make bad music or this so called song is bad like I fear some of yall can not tell the difference between bad and not your taste pretty hard bad songs in k-pop have to have say almost none exist just a lot ones that aren’t all of our tastes a song ain’t bad just because it didn’t fit your taste. also that might not be a group you like but someone else out their likes them same case when it comes songs a groups music not being your taste shouldn’t be giving you a reason to be hating on certain members or the group overall just don’t listen/acknowledge them and move on with your life. submitted by /u/Desperate-Gur-6776 [link] [comments]

I just wanted to share some thoughts about Rami from BABYMONSTER. As most of you probably know, she’s been on hiatus since May due to health issues. YG confirmed she wouldn’t be part of the “Hot Sauce” promotions or the new mini album WE GO UP, and Pharita recently gave a small update at a fan sign, saying Rami is still recovering. While I’m genuinely happy for the group’s success — Hot Sauce was a bop and WE GO UP is such a strong release — I can’t help but feel like something’s missing. Rami’s vocals have always been a core part of BAEMON’s sound. Her tone, her power, her emotion — she brought a depth that’s hard to replace. Watching the group perform without her feels bittersweet. I’m not trying to stir drama or hate. I just want more people to remember the Rami we’ve seen grow over the years. Her talent deserves recognition, and I hope she’s getting all the rest and support she needs. But when she’s ready, I hope YG and fans welcome her back with open arms. BAEMON is amazing, but with Rami, they’re complete. 💜 #WeWantRamiBack submitted by /u/adrien_0 [link] [comments]
