Listen, there's absolutely nothing wrong with evaluating and criticizing your favorite artists (it's a good thing actually) and there's nothing wrong with being disappointed in the general trajectory of their music if you're not enjoying it, that's all fine, and it's okay to voice out that opinion. But if every single album you're clamoring for artists to return to a specific album sound, it gets ridiculous after a certain point. As someone who has stanned both BTS and aespa, it's such a tired discussion. Every comeback people come out to complain that "this album doesn't sound HYYH or Wings, it's disappointing" and "this album doesn't sound like the Savage EP, it's disappointing". I understand the English trilogy, Dirty Work, and Rich Man are all divisive, but there's definitely a difference between wishing BTS to sound more hip hop / aespa to sound more hyper pop versus just wishing them to repeat an album from their rookie years. You for sure don't have to enjoy everything your favs put out, but if you haven't enjoyed anything since and want all releases to sound like those, are you really a fan of the group or just those albums? Especially since those groups still explore their earlier sounds (ex. RUN BTS and aespa's Dark Arts) I hear these same discussions with Itzy and Ive as well. People want IVE to return to I AM and Itzy to return to Wannabe (even though Itzy is lowkey the most consistent 4th gen gg sonically). At some point you have to recognize the artist isn't for you anymore. Like it's been years... move on submitted by /u/Q-TipBrain [link] [comments]

Artist name + song title is all I need If you have a preference like boy groups or girl groups let me know. For the sake of the game I'll try and respond with songs from different company artists-hard to keep track with all subsidiaries nowadays. You can comment one song at first but when I reply you can request another song. submitted by /u/I_OnlyWantedToBloom [link] [comments]
I’ll go first. In Korea? Oh My Girl. They’re still well-known in Korea, even after their peak. But internationally, they got a lot of attention during Nonstop/Dolphin and then kind of disappeared afterward. Just to give you an idea, Nonstop and Dolphin both have over 80M streams on Spotify. But Real Love? Only 4M. Internationally? A recent example is KATSEYE. Which makes sense, since the group isn’t really focused on the Korean market. submitted by /u/Striking-Meal-5257 [link] [comments]
I couldn't pass up this rose version but there are a few options at the store nearest me. I'll probably paint the roses but for now I have Dojoon on display with my ver. 1 lightstick! submitted by /u/blind_squash [link] [comments]
Rules: • You can comment on the same idol more than once, but only the comment with the most upvotes will count. For example, if there are many comments for Idol A with 1 upvote each, but one comment for Idol B has more upvotes, then Idol B wins. • Comments that mention more than one idol will be disqualified submitted by /u/ConnectionOk8413 [link] [comments]
I saw a lot of comments hating on him & said that his raps are not good. Basically, he's not a real rapper. But I also saw comments mentioning that he was from SMTM (hip hop rapper) before becoming an idol. So, which one is true? submitted by /u/LazyProfile2945 [link] [comments]

I've seen a lot of people say this year hasn't had an iconic "song of the summer" yet. And summer is kind of ending already. There's people talking about Katseye, and Soda Pop by the Saja Boys. But I don't consider those proper kpop yk? I'm curious, do you think there was a kpop song of the summer? If so, which one? And why do you think people aren't talking about it? submitted by /u/Professional_Pay5563 [link] [comments]

I've seen a lot of posts talking about how Aespa's TTs this year (Dirty Work and Rich Man) aren't as good as the legendary run that was Drama - Supernova - Armageddon- Whiplash. While feelings like those are perfectly valid and I see where they're coming from, I really liked both Dirty Work and Rich Man. They're not as good as their previous four tracks, but to be honest that's a generational run and expecting them to measure up to it immediately is unrealistic. I want to focus on the EP. The B-sides are awesome. Drift is such a cool and unique song, it instantly made it to my playlist. I also really liked Count On Me, it evokes similar vibes as my favorite Aespa songs (Mine, Flowers and Lucid Dream). Angel#48 is a chill bop as well. To the Girls is such a sweet way to end the EP. I'm not a huge fan of Bubble but considering I like all the other songs, that's a great EP! What are your opinions on the EP? Fave B-sides? Or if you don't like it, why? submitted by /u/sleepdeprivedmanic [link] [comments]
