Everyone always has their opinions about when was the best year/era to be a kpop fan. But when I was discussing with one of my friends the other day, we both agreed that SM Entertainment as a company were unmatched in 2018 and I donβt think theyβve managed to replicate what they did in 2018. And to be honest, they probably never will. The entire NCT 2018 project - Black on Black, Go, Touch, Baby Donβt Stop, Boss, the list goes on really. Red Velvet having Bad Boy, Power Up and RBB all in the same year. An insanely good run. Red Velvet also had the amazing Japanese release #Cookie Jar Shinee started their Story of Light series with the phenomenal song Good Evening. BoA had EVERYONE dancing with One Shot, Two Shot and absolutely FLOORED everyone with the upside down walking choreography in Woman. NCT 127 releasing their first album Regular-Irregular and the repackage. NCT Dreamβs (at the time) farewell to Mark with We Go Up. EXO releasing Tempo and Love Shot!! Admittedly I am not a big fan of Love Shot but even I canβt deny it was EVERYWHERE. SNSD Lil Touch subunit!!!!! Everyone was LIVING during this era and I remember the petitions to have a full dance practice released (which we never got sadly). Probably still my favourite release of all of the ones Iβve mentioned so far. SM Station releases!! Wow Thing, Baekhyun, NCT Dream, etc etc I feel like Iβm forgetting some SM artists who dropped absolute classics in 2018 so if I have please drop them in the comments, I am writing this on an empty stomach at work so please excuse my memory. submitted by /u/Current-Subject4699 [link] [comments]

When TXT performed at Lollapalooza, you all called it a nugu festival, downplaying txt's achievement of being the first K-pop group to headline it. They were the first K pop group to headline Lollapalooza. Now youβre begging your faves to perform there. Itβs obvious youβve always had something against TXT. Itβs obvious Kpop stans hate TXT. Accused them of having privileges and Hybe payola, but thatβs completely wrong. TXT went through everything, the hardships, the struggles during their trainee days, the immense pressure and they endured it all. Now theyβre shining and theyβve earned every bit of it. submitted by /u/txtnmusic [link] [comments]
I would like to bring a few things to peopleβs attention today. Over the last few days Taehyung has had alot of hate thrown his way due to his involvement in Coca-Cola Koreaβs latest ad. (Whom might I add has no monetary association with Coca-Cola Co). I find a lot of it to be fake outrage peddled around by opportunists rather then people actually caring in the slightest. (we all know how k-pop fans can be sometimes). However I do want to point out a few things here today. Most of the products you consume on a daily basis whether it be facial products, food, clothes ect are sourced/ manufactured through unethical means. It is an unavoidable reality with the exception of maybe living off the grid. The phone you carry on a day to day basis contains things such as cobalt and lithium in which even today is sourced significantly through forced child slavery. The point I want to make here is that nobody really has any moral high ground to stand on in this particular matter. Iβd be willing to bet as well that most of these type of people are completely oblivious to the things I just mentioned because its virtue signaling plain and simple. Iβm not against criticizing people when necessary but sometimes it goes too far. Next time please consider looking inwards. submitted by /u/Odd-Sundae-4251 [link] [comments]
