I have noticed lately that on instagram and twitter (X) I get a lot of posts concerning groups I don’t Stan. I keep blocking the accounts and saying “not interested” but specific communities and group reoccur on my TL. I don’t do this out hate. I am simply not interested in seeing fandom specific posts about groups I don’t listen to. Most of the groups I see posts of come from a certain company, and no matter what I do to avoid it they always come back. What is even more annoying is the only K-pop group I Stan, I barely get to see their posts, although I follow a lot of accounts and interact with the posts in a positive way. This leads me to believe that a company pays the socmeds to push them in the algorithm. And I think it is not only used in K-pop but politics and for other western artists as well. What makes me think that now K-pop accounts are run by bots is as well the amount of targeted hate towards certain groups and the fact that all the comments toward them are repeating. All of them got thousands and thousands of likes. And yes, maybe people are discontent, but it’s really strange that it’s the two same phrases used to criticize the group that are under every video. I think also some more prominent accounts are paid to criticize them in a funny way. I am not saying it to defend it. I do not Stan this particular group and have nothing against them. I don’t care about the hate or the positive but I am constantly shown hate videos although I do not interact with them. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this or maybe my algorithm and screen time is so high I notice it. But man, I go into these socials to see my favorite group not some fanwars 😭 submitted by /u/Umgtk1340 [link] [comments]

You get attacked for having “bad visuals”, so you get plastic surgery. You are now being attacked for plastic surgery. There’s really no winning here This is about an idol [but can apply to idols in general]who had obvious plastic surgery done, it was after their debut so the change was very clear. But after, i feel like is constantly brought up from non-fans. Every tiktok video they post all the comments are “why do they look so different”, “shoutout to their plastic surgeon”, like extremely backhanded. All people talk about is the how idols get plastic surgery, but not WHY. This specific idol im talking about had literal articles about their “bad” visuals, and massive hate trains JUST FOR THEIR VISUALS!! If people are constantly dragging you for visuals, and you live in a PS friendly country, wouldn’t you also consider it? Kpop fans will claim they only care about talent, but will continue to make idols feel they need to change because an idol isn’t appealing to them personally. (if u know the idol im talking about, please dont share since it’ll just bring more attention, thus my rant lol) Another thing is, why continue to talk about the PS if it has already happened? There’s not anything that can be done about it, and all it does is bring negative attention, even if not on purpose. It was most likely personal choice by the idol that made them feel better and confident about themselves. At the end of the day idols are performers, singers, and dancers, so why should the topic of visuals be able to ruin a career? submitted by /u/Soft-Breadfruit6483 [link] [comments]
Ok we all know kpop is heading towards its 2 minute song era with no bridge. That had me thinking what are some songs where it just wouldn’t be the same without the bridge? submitted by /u/AdEmergency6619 [link] [comments]

Ok, I wanna deliver as appropriately as possible because people or fans might attack me. I would like to say that I've been observing Katseye for quite a while now, and I felt so comfortable being comfortable with being themselves and free, unlike most K-pop groups. All of the members had this "extroverted" energy well because technically, they're from the West (except Sophia yet Filipinos are known to have strong Western background tho), like they can express what they want to express without the fear of being judged by fans (I'm happy btw that they can express their sexualities too, something you would never hear from K-pop idols). One thing I also noticed that the fandom (eyekons) are not that protective because in my theory, they knew that the members can handle themselves against criticism and they wouldn't allow any negative feedback from people affect them, they just continue what they like to do unlike most K-pop groups were just being slaves. Not to mention, if Yoonchae debuted in a K-pop, she would surely adapt this typically Korean quiet attitude like who barely talks, and scared to talk most of the time unlike Katseye can say whatever the f*ck they want (except to the obvious negative things that would result in controversies). The only exception I can think for Kpop idols is Jessi tbh. Now I want to compare these for this analogy: Lara and Yoonchae, both being the youngest members in Katseye. Well, Yoonchae is gonna be protected by the majority of K-pop fans for being underage in an American girl-group filled with "IDGAF women" from the west, but thankfully the company didn't forced her to wear anything that would show her cleavage BUT LARA ON THE OTHER HAND, if I'm wasn't wrong about it but she starts wearing cleavage clothing BEFORE turning 18 and most fans don't give a damn about it, if Yoonchae does that on her free will, she would get heavily hated lol. As you can see, the different treatment between an UNDERAGE KOREAN with an UNDERAGE WESTENER is wild. Like gurl, I wear cleavage too before turning 18, and sometimes go to some clubs too, drinking for a bit (but obviously, I know my boundaries, just want to have some fun) even tho my relatives would judged from what I'm wearing but I don't mind them cause my family fully supports for being who I am. I just hope that yall K-pop fans would reduce your over-protectiveness to most Korean idols out there so that they can be free and have some fun like Katseye. It's ok to be protective, but only in times in need and if you think something is off but not try to be over-protective to the point that yall be hindering their freedom for themselves. submitted by /u/Alarmed_Pepper9665 [link] [comments]

I am a huge Taehyung biased person, and personally have the same music taste like him.. I enjoy slow jazz jam songs. I was listening to his album LAYOVER recently, and thought about what kind of music of his do people like? So go ahead and share your fav tracks from Kim Taehyung submitted by /u/princess_bella- [link] [comments]

Rules: 1. each one has to be a different gen, precisely the one that’s above it or it restarts. Ex… if you pick 3rd gen the first day then the second day has to be 4th gen and after that it can be whatever other gen besides another 4th the day after, if it’s 5th gen the first day then it resets to 3rd gen!! It’s long but it’s simple. Also there can be the same group multiple times just not above 3 times… Lastly the group member MUST be 3rd gen or above or else I will not even look at it, the idol with the most comments I’ll pick. if its a tie I’ll put both but if its a 3 way or more tie then I’ll decide!! 3 simple rules is all… this is my first time doing one of these so I hope it doesn’t get taken down!! Also don’t mind the fonts, I did it in CapCut, today we MUST HAVE 5th gen, I will see who doesn’t care to read descriptions guys…. no matter how many times you say a 3rd or 4th gen I’ll just skip it… follow the rules…. also it’s NOT only girl groups! I wanted to see some boys too! please vote for boys later on going. we haven’t had any 5th gen so… submitted by /u/Happy-Flight-4810 [link] [comments]
I’m so confused. Why are there no live performances or even parts of the song recordings by the original singers… only covers? I loved the movie and was curious what the songs sound like without edits. submitted by /u/Jmastera1 [link] [comments]
I've been rewatching so many old 2nd gen stages recently and it got me thinking about cover stages! Please get obscure with your answers--bsides, underrated songs/groups that aren't covered very often, etc. Personally, I'd love to see a new gen group cover a Teentop track. I think TXT could pull off No more perfume on you LOL. Taehyun's voice is very Neil-coded to me. submitted by /u/yvesfairies [link] [comments]
I really sympathize with the pressures that come from fans, especially when it comes to dealing with small mistakes. It's tough to face constant criticism and negativity about your work, especially when it feels like you have to sacrifice your weekends just to maintain fandom stability. It’s a lot of weight to carry, and I can understand how overwhelming that must be. I genuinely wish for the well-being of everyone working behind the scenes, and I hope they have access to the mental and physical health care they need. It’s important for everyone in such demanding environments to find support and care. submitted by /u/Last_Clothes6848 [link] [comments]
