Somethinf i’ve recently delved into is kpop lost media. i’ve always been a big fan of lost media, except most the content i see are about childrens cartoon and nostalgia. There’s not many kpop commentary youtubers who have actually touched on this topic, so maybe i’ll do it myself and create a YouTube video on it. Id love to hear some responses from fans:) Supposedly, there was a Bts x Khalid collaboration around the HER era. i wouldve loved to see this. I believe i heard a while back that a lot of Jonghyun’s instagram posts were actually archived and never reposted. (someome correct me if they know what i’m talking about) Solo by jennie was actually for an ex bigbang member. i just saw his cover and wow.(edit:: ok after watching the video, i think it was actually just for a stage cover.) it was rumored that Gdragon and Justin beiber were going to collaborate after multiple interactions and his post on JB’s twitter page. I believe they also recorded it together. So confused as to why it never dropped!!! one more bigbang! it was also rumored that Gdragon and tyler the creator were gonna have a song together after he was featured in (a once lost, reuploaded) Bullshit MV. Who else happens to be on tiktok watching kpop content and out of nowhere comes up with "x idol analysis"? Yes to me, and these types of videos are very common, mainly they put an intro with the comeback of the moment and they put the idol and start saying "vocal: x tier" "dance: × rating" "sp: x number between 0 and 20" And all that to "evaluate" the talent of the idols. Many times, if not to say all, tiers with letters are used, more in the vocal and many idols are given tiers of F just because they saw it on tiktok, because yes, the source of information for all these videos are TIKTOK accounts, and I say, tiktok should not be a source to rate the talent of idols (besides, almost all of these videos are a copy and paste of the other) We should focus on opinions of experts, idols and REAL sources of information submitted by /u/denme_ropa [link] [comments]

I’m curious about thoughts on this. For context, I’ve gotten into this soloist named Chuu recently. I know she was part of a group named LOONA but I am not too interested in their content. I am only interested in Chuu and I thought it would be okay since she is a soloist now, but I saw posts on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram etc. about how Chuu solo stans are so discriminant and how they will block anyone who solo stans + their comments supporting this. To kpop fans, does solo stanning after a member has become a soloist annoy you? Am I doing something wrong? I don’t really see any misses within the album, he’s produced and wrote every song I’m pretty sure. I really loved his first album that he released 2 years ago, and this one was just as good. I haven’t seen much praise about it, but I really thought Jackson has created another great album that everyone should give a listen. It seems many people don’t realize that BLACKPINK has grown far beyond the K-pop scene. Some fans assume that the gap between BLACKPINK and other groups like TWICE, Stray Kids, etc., is small just because those groups can also sell albums and tour tickets. But they forget that we live in a streaming era, and BLACKPINK dominates there. They’re also incredibly popular among the general public. I live in the U.S., and many of my friends who don’t listen to K-pop still know who BLACKPINK is. That’s not something I can say about most other groups, except maybe BTS. That widespread recognition is a big reason they land so many global ads and endorsement deals. I think manon is purposely being left out because hybe knows she is the most popular member. This will make everyone talk about her and katseye, ultimately making them more popular(and money). Hybe is so good at making, spreading, and promoting rumors. I would not be surprised if members being left out is a marketing strategy to stir up discourse. And it’s working. Making the members seem as though they beef with manon is just another way to increase this discourse. I don’t think that the girls have animosity towards each other.
